Didn't realize it was a bunch of short stories. A couple were hard to get into but each one had conflict. curious what it would be like if it was written nowadays. liked how some were from the past Earth and some were from future Earth.

Great collection of short sci-fi stories revolving around conflict. This was my first Poul Anderson book and I'm looking forward to reading one of his full novels.
Each story presented a different type of conflict and resolution. Alien worlds were presented in sufficient detail without confusing the reader or leaving one needing more to complete the storyline.
An overall great read which deal much more with the ideas & ideals than the technology of sci-fi.

10 short stories by Poul Anderson, dated 1956 thru 1973.
As most collections, there are stories that hit the mark and some that are forgettable, but overall an enjoyable read.
