As a little mouse tosses and turns in his bed of dried grasses, he imagines that other animals must surely have better sleeping arrangements. A bird’s nest, a kangaroo’s pouch, a polar bear’s den–they all sound so cozy . . . at first. But a patient mother mouse helps her little one see why home is best for him. This mother and child’s loving banter suggests a game that parents and toddlers will quickly add to their own bedtime routines–ensuring sweet dreams for all.
mom really likes this one even though it is a little to long for an 8 month olds attention span. very cute story and pictures. a few of the reasons they come up with feel contrived (he wants to float in the river with otters but changes his mind because he doesn't like baths???) but over all very sweet. and mom cried at the end.
24 months - Cute illustrations and a sweet story about a mouse who'd like to try sleeping in other animals' beds. Not an overly new concept but it's well done.
