Neo Babylon's neural implants are iconic, and are now implicated in a mass murder that threatens the foundation of the city. Detective Nick Waite finds himself struggling with the case. He's spent his entire life without a neural implant, excluded from the Altnet, and now needs to investigate a crime steeped in it.
Nick will need to rely heavily on his subordinates, the city's elite police Archangels. Unfortunately, the deployment of the new prototype, Ezekiel, is threatening to cause a schism in their ranks if he doesn't intervene.
Tensions rise almost by the hour while he investigates. Babylon's corporate overlords are at each other's throats while its people stage virtual protests. If the tensions boil over before Nick identifies the culprit, the city's dark history might repeat itself.

Another winner
I've loved the majority of K. D. Robertsons work. It's all well thought out and interesting while also having some of the spice that brings flavor to life. Put simply, if you liked the last 2 books, then keep it going with this one be a use I'm sure you will like it.

This is a good addition to the series. In fact, it was supposed to end on book 3, but the story has some gas left in the tank, so the author is going to let it ride.
The accretion of synthetic honeys slows here, a good thing, but I doubt the MC is out of the woods on that. There is a hint (maybe just in my head) of a possible DNA-based female interest, but we'll see if that goes anywhere. I'm interested to see what the next bound is for Nick and the dolls.

Gravely underrated gem
It’s one of those book series which you’ve become a fan of only after they’ve been frozen/cancelled by the author.
Don’t repeat my mistakes! It is a sci-fi detective in the best spirit of Ghost in the Shell Stand Alone Complex, i, Robot and even a little of bladerunner (but in modern epoch)
If you’re interested in
1) androids/fembots, interaction with them and AIs, and the juicy (wink wink) peculiarities of having a close relationship with one(or a few) of them
2) good noir-ish story about crimes and corruption in the full-automated era, with unironically interested nuances of the methodology and logistics of said crimes
3) typical junk-food eating, grey coat-weaing, beer-drinking and a little jaded (but good-hearted) police detectives
4) quality writing
You will most certainly enjoy this book series.
P.S. in my opinion, the cover art of NW 1-3 was/is doing a less than stellar job at presentation, with the colours and styles very different in mood from the book themselves. So do not be fooled: this is a sci-fi robot/AI/politic themed books with a romance subplot (but open-door 18+ , mind you) and not the other way around💁♂️

Another great one.
I really liked this one, couldn't put it down, and slammed through it in 2 days. After reading this and some of Robertson's other books, and all I'd really change about any of them is how little emphasis is placed on kind, thoughtful interactions between people who care a lot about each other. It's not a huge deal. It wouldn't affect the story at all with or without them, but why have a harem if you're not going to try harder?
Anyway, can't wait for the next one.

Each book gets even better
Book three just as great. This series is consistently amazing cover to cover. I’m blown away every time with how amazing this series is and how much it stands out against thousands of stories that copy from each other. This series is so unique in its style. An absolutely amazing read that really sucks you into a beautifully crafted world. The mysteries of the investigations are so well done it always keeps you guessing. 10/10 masterpiece.

Love this series!!!
An intriguing mix of hard and soft science fiction that keeps you constantly thinking!!! Great adventures with a nice bit of slice of life thrown in!! I can't wait to see what comes next in this interesting world the author has built for us!!!

K.D Robertson does it again.
Definitely looking forward to the 4th book.
I enjoy the world-building a ton.
The Harem isn't the main attraction for me, I just really enjoy the futuristic world he has crafted with this latest installment. I'm curious to see where it all goes in the end.

The dialogue in the xex scenes are weird as shit dude, it’s something I’ve noticed in all three books. More is less sometimes, written like a bad porno script. The writing and noir elements are pretty good to be honest, but the harem elements are killing it for me.

Good book.
A bit heavy and foreboding in my opinion, but enjoyable.
The mc needs a few small stories to be put into the beginning or end of the books, to add some light hearted diversion.
Regardless, more is welcome.

4k Body Count = Cyberpunk Wilt Chamberlain?

This series is insanely good reading. Couldn’t put any of them down. Can’t wait to read more. KDs Writing is fantastic. Love all of his stuff but Neural is by far my favorite!!!

A pretty solid cyber-noir tale. K. D. Robertson is one of the better writers you can find on Kindle unlimited and this tale of cyborgs and cyber crime is a decent mystery.

I really enjoyed this book except for the harem stuff. I get that that's the genre, but I feel like the book would be better without it.
