Since I was born, I was destined to be one thing—the Alpha’s Mate. It should be every girl’s dream. Not mine, though. He’s too dark and damaged, and I’ve got a secret he can never I’m not a true wolf.
Instead of waiting for him to figure out I’m an abomination, I left on my fifteenth birthday. But I didn’t go far. No way in hell would I let him drive me from the town I love.
Ten years later, I’m still hiding in plain sight. When I occasionally see him on the street—deadly, sexy, powerful--I just walk by. Keep my head down.
Until that night. Wrong place, wrong time, and suddenly I’m accused of murdering someone from my old pack. And he’s there. Blaming me. I’ve got one chance to prove my innocence and find the real killer, or I'm dead by shifter law.
Fortunately, the Alpha doesn't recognize me because I'm no longer the same ugly duckling. He senses I'm special though, and he won’t stop until he figures out the truth. But when he does, I’ll be in danger from more than just the murderer.
The Wolf Queen complete set contains all five books in the series. It's full of non-stop action, adventure, magic, and romance. Titles include Darkest Moon, Wild Hunt, Pack of Lies, Rising Moon, and Wolf Queen.

Before becoming a writer, Linsey was an archaeologist who studied shipwrecks in all kinds of water, from the tropics to muddy rivers (and she has a distinct preference for one over the other). After a decade of tromping around in search of old bits of stuff, she settled down to start penning her own adventure novels and is freaking delighted that people seem to like them. Since life is better with a little (or a lot of) magic, she writes urban fantasy and paranormal romance.
I’ll admit that I was disappointed with this book. I have read another series by this author and really enjoyed it but this one just didn’t hit the spot for me.
I was frustrated with the main characters for a long time and near the end, I was just ready for the series to be over.
I did like the world it was set in and I like how the author writes, this book just didn’t hit the spot for me like I wanted it to.
Linsey Hall has outdone herself with this series. Yes, it is a shifter series but it is so much more! You really want to read this series!
How and why would a shifter leave their pack and pretend to be Fae? Not just pretending, but she also had Fae ears and wings. Glamour could account for both except Eve could actually use her wings to fly. Her scent was no longer that of a shifter either.
Her fated mate was the Alpha of the shifter’s guild. Since she left her pack when she was 15 and for all practical purposes she was a Fae. Eve did not live in the Shifter Guild but another Guild made up of “misfits” that didn’t fit in with their own type for one reason or another. Eve had become a master potion maker and sold potions to make her way.
All was well in her world until Fate placed her in the wrong place at the wrong time. This is when she and her fated mate came face to face for the first time in a decade. She was accused of poisoning a member of the pack that he was the Alpha for. She knew he was her fated mate that she had run from so many years ago, but he could only see what seemed to be a Fae in front of him. He couldn’t understand why his wolf was showing interest in her. But he had to lock her up while investigating the murder.
It only gets better from this point as we meet the rest of the so called Misfits that were part of the same Guild as she, along with her new chocolate stealing raccoon familiar named Ralph, and a quintet of five crazy witches that took partying and dressing strange to a whole new level.
I read for three straight days through mealtimes, giving up sleep, and being remiss in other tasks I was supposed to do as I could not stop reading! Read this series if you like a great set of characters and storyline.
This is the complete collection of all five of Eve’s books, telling her story from failed wolf shifter, to how she became the wolf queen. It explains how she and her fated mate finally realize their connection, and triumph over the evil that has been chasing after her.
This was a thoroughly enjoyable series, and to be honest, it was the final two books in the series that were the best: because it gradually builds up the situation before there are some serious revelations. There’s lots of action, a little romance, and plenty of magic- all in all a typically engrossing Linsey Hall story.
If you’ve enjoyed the Shadow Guild and Linsey Hall’s other stories, then you’ll like this series, and if you’re looking for a keeper copy, then this is a good way to do so because it has all stories in one place (and you don’t have to wait for the cliffhangers to be cleared!).
I liked the story, and really wanted to like the series. I did to an extent, but I got over the very same plot line and was over the main characters not being able to enjoy their love at all, until literally the very last 30 min of a seven book series! I feel like they should have been able to enjoy each other by at least book 4. It was the same plot the whole way through. That really annoyed me. All in all, glad I read it, but probably won’t read again.

A great adventure that will pull your heart strings while keeping you on the edge of your seat. Mrs. Hall never disappoints. Ever since boxed sets came to ebooks, I’ve preferred to wait and read the entire series as one very long book. So worth the wait.
OK. Spice level =2 ish... plot = Good. SLOW BURN! if you are looking for A spicy shifter Romance, ths is not it. The fmc umade me angry. Constantly belittling herself. Oh, I can't be with him , I'm not enough.... Yadda Yada Yadda. Be Strong Woman.
I found this series and knew I wanted to read it asap. As usual it was as good as any of her other books. I know anyone who loves fantasy will love this series.
I really enjoyed this series. I didn't care for the ending. I wish it ended a little different with the new wolves, but it was still very good. I wanted to keep reading lol
