The Kite

Young children will love learning to read with the My First Reader storybooks. Once a child can recognize and identify the words used to tell each story, he or she will be able to successfully read on their own. Big, bright illustrations complement each story -- the kind of stories young children can quickly relate to -- and enjoy. A word list is included.

The Kite is as easy as a book gets! This book is a great first book to read to kids in preschool. The main character is a boy who is flying his kite everywhere high in the sky. The vocabulary words are very very simple and the pictures help out with the text.

Although I wouldn't use this book in my personal classroom I enjoyed this book! :)

This is a very cute book for new readers. The art is sweet, imaginative, and soothing. There are very few words, and a few repeat, so new readers aren't overwhelmed with a lot of text. All in all, I would recommend for young/new readers or readers who are struggling a little, so they can build confidence.

Easy basic book. Perfect for first level readers. I read the Spanish version and it's good for people that want to learn Spanish and are just barely starting out.

no audiobook. But it is a warm and short book. In front of this book there are some words to check to see if readers can read this book with full understanding. That is nice.
