I bought this for my sister who has been diagnosed with BPD. I wanted to read it first to avoid any triggers and get a better understanding on her diagnosis. The author puts great emphasis throughout the book on self-acceptance, not blaming yourself for your emotions, you have the right to feel anyway you do, and not dwelling on the past. This book is full of strategies for anyone but especially for someone with BPD to live as stress free and stable as possible. Natpikia speaks through her writing with compassion and understanding yet with a solid firmness that is easy to read and relate to. I’ll definitely be giving this to my sister.
What an insightful well written resourceful researched guide that contains strategies for managing & functioning successfully in everyday life with the help of therapy, practical methods, medications & holistic lifestyle approaches. I like how the author identifies the reasoning factors of bipolar disorder-such as chemical imbalances & breaks down the neurotransmitters that affects moods, emotions and feelings. There's always light at the end of the dark tunnel, I particularly liked chapter 8:Making Amends & Rebuilding Damaged Relationships. Congratulations on the publication.

Although I don't suffer from Bipolar disorder, I have a few family and friends that do. This book helped me to understand the very real struggles they face and the book offers a person dealing with the disorder a way to successfully navigate it and lead successful lives.
It also helped me to realize that I truly did not understand the disorder and the booked help open my eyes to it. I recommend this book to anyone suffering with Bipolar Disorder, or anyone who wants to understand others who are suffering from it.
