WINTER-
I really do love this series now. This book wasn't better than Fall, but it wasn't worse. This series is just... fun! They are really good and entertaining reads and I hope they get a resurge in the YA community soon because they deserve it. And for anyone who will be reading the series, do NOT let Summer turn you away.
My whole perspective of the story made a 180 when I read Winter. I now love love love Season and hate Mother Blessing and hope she and her ugly mug would just go die in a pit (Okay, maybe that is a little harsh, but still...). But I'm sure my views on the characters will take another turn when I read Spring because the series seems to do that.
I am still not too crazy about the characters. I love Season and don't mind Kerry, but the rest of the characters make me want to jump off of a bridge! I hated when the POV would switch over to the La Jolla crew, but loved the time Kerry and Season spent in the cabin. I also wish that another of the main characters had died, I think it would have kept continuity.
I can NOT WAIT to read Spring, which I have sitting next to me. I hope we get to finally see the showdown at the Witches' Convacation.
SPRING-
This is honestly one of my favorite series of all time. I can't believe I almost got rid of them before I got a chance to experience their magic. Once again, DO NOT LET SUMMER RUIN THE SERIES!
I loved the ending and was worried that Daniel would come back to life and it would be all hokey and cheeseball, which sort of happened, but in a tasteful way. I loved the story line in this installment and loved the Witches Convocation! It was so amazing and magical, I felt like I was right there!
I could barely read the last 15 pages of this book, partly because I didn't want it to end. Partly because of the tears clogging my vision.
I loved the WITCH SEASON series and hope that you all get a chance to experience it.

After finishing the first book, I had hoped the second book would finish off strong, unlike the beginning of this odd story. The answer to that my fellow readers would be a no. I appreciated the complexity of how magic was used and perceived in the story but it did not have a happy arc. By the time you finish reading more people are dead, a body missing and as a reader just like the characters you are supposed to accept and move on. After all the attempts on Kerry and Season's life, it bubbles down to the convocation which felt like a mask to cover up how awful everything has been. As a fair warning, you will come to the last twenty pages with a lot of things not answered and all the answers coming at once or not at all. I was disappointed and had hoped it would turn out better, but the only thing that can be appreciated is the writing style. This was not my cup of tea but you never know it could be yours.

More magic action, yes! Book 3 has pacing issues imo, and a certain character that really got on my nerves... but I'm glad that the author finds that path necessary because it's worth it in Book 4.
All in all, it's a good revenge story albeit the inconsistent writing quality in each book. Each character is well thought out, with minor exception to the main villain... but still, a good story. I'm glad to have waited for 11 years to finally finish this :D

This book definitely isn’t as strong or exciting as the first book. This one takes a more diplomatic approach as opposed to action packed. Also, I found the complete 180 was a bit odd, but added a nice twist. The ending is bittersweet, but I found it a little disappointing.

The first book was bad horrible writing and bad character development. This one was a train reck until the last chapters of the book would not recommend to anyone.

After finishing the first volume, I honestly didn't think Jeff could top it in this book. But, to my surprise, he did. He really wrote a book worse than Dark Vengeance Vol.1. You'd think that since the other book was so bad, there's nowhere to go but up, right? Right?
I'm not mad that Daniel didn't come back to life, I'm happy he stayed 6 feet under where he belonged. Despite being a relatively important character both in life and death, he lacked personality. Being a witch was all he had to him. Him coming back to life would not only be cliche (world of magic, witch dies, gets revived through witchcraft) but he wouldn't contribute much. The book had every flaw the first volume did: the character's potentials were wasted, the ending was just plain garbage, and the pacing is even worse.
Kerry as a witch was somewhat interesting to see but the plot itself had potential but was wasted in a rushed, incoherent mess. Kerry's obsession with Daniel made it that much harder to read. I understand that she lost the love of her life and she had a right to mourn, but this was too much. Daniel died a whole book ago yet we see more of him than most other living characters. Maybe others like Kerry but I couldn't stand her capacity to make decisions. It's been awhile since I've read this book so my criticism isn't very specific but twas still a very bad book.
In conclusion, this series sucks. Like, a lot.

The second book is SO MUCH BETTER than the firsts. At least there's more actions and the plot of it is way better than the first. I actually enjoy reading the whole book without feeling bored or have to stop because I gonna fall asleep if I continue reading. Way to go!! It's just sad that Season still died after everything when she's the innocent one. That damn mother blessing still managed to kill her. Stupid ass. But I guess nothing is perfect so yeah. Great book! Thumbs up!

This book had more action and explained ALOT of stuff and therefore made me very happy. the ending pissed me off a bit, but can't always have a perfect ending. the way it was ended was poetic and decent enough.

I loved this book! The main character Kerry is a very strong woman...she just doesn't know it yet.
