I knew from the get go that I should have told him the truth. There were no consequences to him knowing what I did for a living but the more we talked and the closer we became the truth became its own monster, lurking behind me waiting to ruin everything we’ve built.
When Braysen moved into the penthouse in the building across from me I thought that it would make me feel safer, more looked after, but the way that he watches me makes me feel anything but safe. I feel like a mouse trapped between the waiting jaws of the cat and the trap that was carefully set up for me. No matter which way I move I'm bound to get caught.

This was my first read from Em Torrey’s Chicago Venom series, and while it can be read alone (Interconnected Series) I wish that I started with book one! Definitely will be starting the rest of the series soon!
But OMG!!! This book was so good! I loved that Braysen has such a dirty mouth. And I love the way that he talks to Whitnay! Plus the book nerd + author aspect along with the mistaken identity & Voyeurism! Just perfect, literally perfect! I have no words to describe what I am feeling!
I love how Em creates these stories with spice and twist that will always keep you guessing!
And the ending!!! I need the next book now! Like what just happened!!!
This book was definitely a good read and I do recommend reading!

This book is a part of the Chicago Venom series, but can be read as a standalone. Her writing is fantastic, her characters are captivating,so I recommend reading them all.
Braysen has a perfectly filthy mouth to match his gorgeous appearance. Whitnay is the perfect FMC; she's the perfect amalgamation of you, me, and all other amazing women. Once they get together the fireworks are outstanding. But be warned, this one does end on a cliffhanger and you may throw your kindle. (It can't just me me!)

Whitnay and Brayden have the same friends Callahan,Brielle, Jaxson, Kristin. Whitnay has a crush on Brayden, but she is kinda awkward. Brayden thinks she’s beautiful but doesn’t know how to take her. The attraction between them grows. They both have secrets and some twists that are coming their way. Great characters and storyline Highly recommended Amazing book. I absolutely love Whitnay and Brayden and the supporting characters are amazing. The spice is hot. This book does end on a cliffhanger, but the next book will be out shortly. Love the sarcasm and mystery.

I love it when an author can create characters that resonate so deeply within the reader. The FMC in this book is a writer, she's witty, funny and gets completely lost in her books.
Two friends from a group who have no idea about the ties they already have. The cliffhanger is a doozy but knowing the authors style of writing, it will be well worth the wait.

Well this was a quick little read I didn't know I needed! I've never read from this author so I wasn't sure what to expect but the blurb hooked me. Loved it! Ready for the next part to see what happens.

Braysen and whitnay intertwine with the Chicago Venom series and I do recommend reading the other books in this series but if you do not want to, this can be read as a standalone. I really enjoyed reading their story. In the beginning we have a lot of Whit not knowing Bray has a thing for her and I liked that about her character. She is shy but when she becomes aware of it, it’s like she opens up to being a whole new person and she really does show him her true personality.
Braysen is such a well written MMC. I enjoyed reading his pov and yes he has a filthy mouth on him and I feel like we’ve just tapped into it. I can see his dirty talk getting to higher levels! I don’t see many books with the MC being a closet book nerd so that was a plus to read about and it made me fall for him more. 😍
I was surprised at how much I actually like the secrets they had and how Whit couldn’t open up about her secrets. I feel like that added towards the suspense of Bray finding out. With this being said…THAT cliffhanger is going to ruin my sleep at night! I NEED the next book asap!

Whitnay is a introverted author who never leaves her house unless her best friend drags her out. She has been talking to a mystery man who she hopes brings her out of her shell. Braysen is a head of PR but a secret comic nerd who hopes to meet his match with a girl he’s never met.
This book is addictive! I could not put this book down. It was a read in less then 24 hours. The smut is good but the chemistry between the two characters is amazing. You could feel the way they felt about each other.
The storyline is great too. I wish we would have gotten more at the actual ComicCon and what happened there. I don’t want to spoil the rest of the plot but it leaves to a cliff hanger that is making me need the rest of the story.

This book was a great middle of the story for this set of books. There is an edge of thriller, with some steam and crazy life happenstances, that just make the story work. Braysen and Whitnay are such a fun couple. This story leaves you pulling for the underdogs, if you will. Fun, well written characters make all the difference! Cannot wait for the next book! Great Story!

I have been in love with Em's books and had great expectations from this book and she just didn't deliver but blew my mind. I was engrossed in the read from the first page and was eager for Whitnay and Brayden to get together. I was giddy reading how they got to know each other and fell in love. There is mystery that kept me awake all night and I finished the read in a single sitting. It was too easy to fall in love with both Braydon, Whitnay and all the side characters. I was a bit shocked and upset with the cliffhanger as I want to know what happens next. Can't wait for the next book. Thanks to Em for the advanced copy of this amazing read.

So good I love this series, they are such good love stories with a great twist. Braysen and Whits book is two parts. SCORE!! It was a great read Braysen is so caring and sexy I love all of his and Whits banter through out the book the book nerd aspect is so cool to read. I absolutely love how Braysen loves all of Whitnays insecurities and thinks she is perfect it gives me fuzzy feelings. The spice was delicious Braysen had a mouth on him 🫠. I always like the twist Em puts in these books can’t wait to read what happens next!

Whitnay and Braysen’s story is such a fun, hot as h3ll intense read and I need more now. Whitnay has been crushing on Braysen for a while now and what she doesn’t know is he has been feeling the same, but she gets tongue tied when it comes to talking to him. Their story is interconnected in so many ways with friendships, hidden identities of sorts, etc. but the chemistry is insanely good. The steam and suspense had me on my toes craving more, so now I will not so patiently wait for the next book.

This kept my attention the entire time from the start. I like how they started and how everything was working out for them. I like the friend group they have and how everyone from the first 2 books are mentioned throughout, there was also some good spicy scenes. 😏 I also enjoyed the bit of mystery that was put into it from the beginning. I definitely would like some answers because I have no clue and I was so mad about the cliffhanger but that just means I'm ready and can't wait for the next one!

Em my god I was pumped and waiting for this to come out ! The chemistry they have is insane . I love the watching parts 😳😳it’s so sexy! And then the part on the roof deck was sooo hot . Truth and dare was so fun..

Em has done it again!! I'm obsessed Braysen has always been a favorite of mine! And Whitnay ohhh i love her! The chemistry these two have is off the charts!!!!! And that cliffhanger ooff.
