Rush: Part One
It's springtime in Monaco, and Valentina Romana is ready for Formula One glory. Since childhood, Valentina's life has revolved around racing. This is her moment. There's only one problem: no one will give her a shot, simply because she is a woman. She's here to support her brother, Adrian, who is following in the footsteps of their father and grandfather. Still, Valentina is determined to get behind the wheel and prove herself.

Enter Gabriel, the sexy, brooding racer who wants to win Valentina's affection along with the Grand Prix. As Valentina struggles to balance her chaotic crush with her dreams of greatness, secrets are revealed that threaten to change the course of her life forever.

Alternately sexy and serious, romantic and heartbreaking, Rush: Part One explores a tenacious young woman's journey through the male-dominated world of Formula One racing.

Rush: Part Two
A spot at the Ferrari Driver Academy is everything Valentina Romana has been waiting for, but it doesn’t come without consequences. Her childhood rival and prince of Monaco, Christian Crovetto, reappears in her life, ready to battle her for the only spot available in Formula Three. With her family and friends by her side, Valentina is more determined than ever to prove that racing runs in her blood. She deserves that spot, but will the people in charge agree?

Gabriel Biancheri is determined to win the Drivers’ Championship, but he’s also set on being the man Valentina deserves. Along with being one of the best drivers in Formula One history, he’ll stop at nothing to become the best version of himself for her while she does the same for him.

Secrets, lies, and betrayals turn their lives upside down until one question remains: can they push past the darkness before it swallows them whole?

I finally understand what people mean when they say, "When something is so bad, it's good." This was a cute, friends to lovers, 'I always wanted you but didn't wanna ruin the friendship vibes.'
I really liked how much it focused on Formula 1 and the gender disparity. Props to valentina for wanting to break the stereotype that women can't be f1 drivers. Go off, girlboss.
The writing style was weird af tho. It felt like a wattpad book or like someone who isn't too familiar with English and heavy on the infodumps with f1 info.
Overall, it was a light, fun, easy read, and I'm most likely gonna read the sequel cause I need to know what happens!

First of all. Finally another f1 romance!!!

Second of all. I know I should have loved Gabriel but James has my heart. I’m so sorry. But James is the one for me.

I don’t particularly enjoy the back and forth trope so I was getting very pissed with Val. Like sis, decide what you want. You managed to kiss 3 different guys and make a full mess. While her dating life sucks and her romantic choices are awful, I admire Val for her strength and determination regards f1. She’s a female driver trying to enter a males sports. She works twice as hard as every male and still is suffering to get a chance in this world.

Another thing that is amazing in this book is the found family and the bond Adrien & Val have. Their friendship is amazing, they have a very strong bond and they support each other all the way. (The brother-sister bond was an amazing plus)

And James. Oh my god. Poor British “oh luv” guy. I just wanna hold you.
For those who don’t know, I have a thing with British guys, literally my heart melts so I really loved James.

Also I have a feeling that Evangeline is somehow related to Gabriel in ways I couldn’t understand.

With that being said here’s some disclaimers:
• the story is not perfect (the English in the story is not very “fancy”, it’s really basic and I think it’s good but would be amazing with a little more training)
• i was hoping for more spicy scenes (need more in the next book)
• I’m very proud of the author for publishing an f1 book and making it very well explained to everyone who doesn’t know f1 and for those you actually like it.
• if you like: formula 1, friends to lovers, found family, women empowerment, you’ll love this book!

Booktok lied this is the worst thing I’ve ever read. My friends One Direction fanfiction she wrote when she was 14 is better than this.

If you thought part one was good then you need to read part two…😪

I am shocked with that ending and i don‘t think i will be able to compose myself any time soon. I was convinced that this second part would be the end of rush, but guess what? We still have a third book coming our way! I am not mad about that, not at all… I JUST NEED TO HAVE THE THIRD BOOK IN MY HANDS NOW! 🤡

If you are looking for a new Formula One romance, Bridget is your author ✍🏼

Friends to lovers ✅
Brothers friend ✅
Love triangle ✅
Strong MMC ✅
Found family✅

Val has my heart . She is a sweet and cute representation if what I imagine a lot of female young drivers have to go through in the early stages of their career. She works more than her male counterparties with seats in RedBull and Ferrari, and even when her dreams get crushed multiple times she still finds the strength to stand up and work a million times harder to get her rightful place! #BossWoman
Her dating life provides the perfect entertainment for my F1 obsessed brain. she has not one but three perfect gorgeous drivers pinning after her that are simple chefs kiss and all these love stories provide the perfect amount of drama which combined with all the Formula One part is simply too tier for me!

Also as it stands James has my heart, sorry Cherie you are amazing but James is… well, James 😂

definitely enjoyed this book :) loved to see the f1 aspect, since we don’t get to see much of it in books!

i gotta say, my favorite part of this book was honestly the relationship between adrian and valentina! it reminded me a lot of myself and my brother, and it just felt like home.

very happy to see a fmc who is very determined in achieving her goals, and also having a solid support system rooting for her.

the tension was great, the ending was a little abrupt for me, but i know great things are coming!

can’t wait to see how this plays out in part two! ❤️

this is exhausting... having two books (and more to come) for a single couple in a romance novel it's so unnecessary 😵‍💫 and both books kinda sucked which is even worse. definitely won't be reading the next one and don't understand how there's so many people recommending this series when it's not worth it

Rush: Part 2 by @bridgetl.rose ☆☆☆☆.5

'𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐦𝐲 𝐩𝐢𝐭𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐩.'

Ahhhhhh, I'm so freaking happy to be back with my babies Valentina and Gabriel again❤️

Rush: Part 2 starts off just where we left off in Part 1, and my girl Valentina is feeling betrayed by the people most important to her. But on the plus side, she was accepted into the FDA (Ferarri Drivers Academy).

But everything won't be as it seems as she goes back up against her long time rival since her karting days, Christian.

I hated Christian so much, he was arrogant, sexist and just in general a pig. And I loved every single time Val handed his arse to him on a silver platter. I feel like she got more fiery in this book, and I am here for it. My heart nearly damn broke for Valentina at one point, and then thankfully, it was fixed.

Valentina and Gabriel's relationship definitely heated up a lot and I am no longer left with blue balls! They went through some tough moments, some beautiful moments and some damn moments that had me swooning.

I adored finally getting Gabriel's POV as I felt this was what was missing in book 1.

Bridget tackled the themes of misogyny and racism in this book so beautifully and also brought my new favourite character, Andrea. They/them were absolutely hilarious and I loved every interaction they had with anyone in the book!

This book and all the characters in it (apart from Christian, the pompous prick) just make me feel so warm, and just give me the biggest feeling of home🖤

I can't wait for book 3, as that cliffhanger😱😱

I’m at chapter 45 and so cant wait to finish this book. Its so tiring honestly cuz theres so many unnecessary sex scenes. Since the book picked up from where we left off in the 1st one, we’re pretty much done with their romance endgame. Theyre already together throughout this book and all they do is making out and sex. It gets so tiring to read this in almost every chapter honestly. I wish we couldve seen more of Valentina’s struggles during training in the academy. Her trainings were usually explained briefly throughout the book except for certain canon scenes. And it seems like she got it very easy throughout the training which idk not very realistic and a bit cringy.

Can we point out how this book is literally a Charles Leclrec fan fic? I mean he’s a Ferrari F1 driver from Monaco who speaks French, Italian and English. Green brown eyes, often wears a bandana (which charles usually wear in his twitch). And his late godfather died of crash during a race just like the late Jules Bianchi. Yup sounds pretty much like Charles Lecrec to me.

For now I’m just tired and so cant wait to see the ending.

UPDATE:
Just finished the book and I’ve felt like i have wasted my time and energy for this book. The conflict at the end was just so unnecessary and drama. Not looking forward for the next one honestly

Firstly, I LOVED how much this book actually focused on F1 - if it wasn’t the races, it was training and prep. There’s also actual explainer paragraphs about the sport which are really simple and would mean literally anyone could read this book.
Valentina is a fantastic character, I love the idea of following a women in a male-dominated career path. She’s very determined and passionate. Her relationship with her brother is probably my favourite part of this book. I do however feel that too many men were obsessed with her, and she didn’t have enough female support around her…like not a single girl her age.
Gabriel is also a great character. He’s complex and is clearly a great match for her. He’s def based off Charles Leclerc so this made me VERY happy. Loved how his pet name for her was cherie.
The back and forth between Valentina and Gabriel got a little tiring by the end, and sometimes I found it difficult to pin down which character was talking.
I am excited to read part 2 as I feel like we will really get into the nitty gritty of being a woman in F1. I’m excited to see where this goes!

so happy to have received the arc for this book!

let me say, i did definitely enjoy this book more than the first ♥️ it was very nice to get more of valentina actually being in the f1 scene and training. the spice was definitely more than i expected as well, and i'm not complaining 🔥 some spice scenes were outta pocket, but good spice nonetheless.

if you like f1, i would give this a try! there are some very cute quotes and moments. the only thing that brought it down for me a little bit was that there were some moments that i felt that the fmc was just being a pain, but that might have just been me.

The idea is good, the execution was disappointing. I’m not even exaggerating when I say this is the worst written book I’ve ever read. BUT, is it a little entertaining? Yeah. So, do with that what you will.

Rush: Part alone by Bridget L. Rose ☆☆☆☆

'𝐈𝐟 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐥𝐲 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐨𝐧𝐞, 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐟𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐢𝐭 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤 𝐛𝐞𝐜𝐚𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐬𝐞 𝐝𝐚𝐲𝐬, 𝐢𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐬𝐨 𝐫𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐝 𝐚 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧 𝐰𝐡𝐨 𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐬 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐰𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫.'

I love finding little Formula 1 gems, and a gem this was. I loved that it highlighted the struggles of woman trying to make their way in a very male dominated sport. Also, I felt like Rush was very explanatory for someone who perhaps doesn't know much about F1, covering everything from car parts, to why penalties are given and what for.

Valentina is a young girl who tried to make it big in Formula 3 before she was kicked from the team, with no reason. She's living in Monaco with her Brother Adrian, who is a Formula 1 driver. This girl has drive, she's passionate, and all she wants is for someone to give her that one shot she's always dreamed of.

Gabriel is her brother teammate at Ferrari, but he's also out of bounds, 1. Because he has a girlfriend and 2. Because he's decided that's the way it is going to be. No matter what he feels for Valentina, and she him.

These two had such an undeniable pull towards eachother, they are both in love with eachother but don't want to overstep the friend boundaries set. I wanted to slap them both at times because they couldn't see what was right infront of them. They also gave me MAJOR blue balls!

The ending left me so happy, and I can't wait to see where Part Two will go!

Ahh this book! I loved it.
This book is a great intro for people that don’t really understand F1 Bridget has given info of how a race weekend works and it’s so easy to follow.
I loved Valentina’s relationship with her brother Adrian.
Valentina is one of my favourite main characters she so strong and determined and doesn’t let anything stand in her way!
Gabriel wowww all I can picture is Charles and I just know I’m going to fall for him even more in book 2.
The relationship between Valentina and Gabriel will leaving you wanting more they have had such a push/pull relationship for so long that they couldn’t see what was in front of them.
The ending of this book has me squealing I am honestly so excited for part 2.

Although it’s been a while since I actually finished the book, I just had to post this review because it made me feel SO many things 😭

I am a SUCKER for a good dose of drama. And let me tell you Bridget BRINGS the drama in Rush. I will say if you want more of the racing aspect there is plenty to go around here but the main plot is definitely the relationship drama. Off of sheer vibes I ADORED this- I was so heavily invested in Val’s entire situation and can I forget to mention Gabriel????! Good lord.

Rush is a quite intricate romance that kept me on my toes with all the drama between all the characters, not one, not two, but THREE F1 drivers pining after miss Val, I could not put it down. I adored Evangelin and the role she took in Val’s life as well. Plus Val—the F1 backdrop and all the racing sets up for us to see her advance in her career. Every character was lovable and flawed and I fell for this book hard.

Some wishes I had, though, were really just finicky writing things. While there weren’t any grammar errors use of certain words and phrases “stated,” one in particular, didn’t read as cleanly to me. I also wanted a bit more of the racing, more of Val’s dream and work she was doing to achieve that.

Nevertheless it was SUCH a fun read and pulled me from my slump. As I said if you’re looking for drama, drama, drama, you will have a great time with Rush. I’m going to be reading all Bridget’s books and eagerly awaiting Chase!!! 🏎️

OH MY VAL AND GABRIEL.

If I thought Part One had me in a chokehold this was a whole new ballgame. Every character’s story just broadened in this natural way and I could not help but EAT IT UP. Bridget brings Gabriel and Val, lovable main duo, back with a FURY that puts these humans through SO much and yet you can’t help but gobble up every page.

I literally laughed, cried, and almost flung my cereal because Val’s career and character development this book was FABULOUS. She goes through so much that absolutely infuriates you and you just want to root for her till the end!!! Meanwhile Gabriel is dealing with his own demons (at the end and throughout, may I add) but brings the very best to Val and doesn’t falter in his support. AND MY MAN, THANK YOU TO MY MAN.

Brownie points because Andrea Russo!!!! They have the same name as my Andrea but could not be more different and I have to say, Andrea was one of my FAVORITE characters. They are the core of Val’s support system away from home and GOSH I HATE THAT HAIR IN THE DRAIN CHRISTIAN CROVETTO but they handle him WONDERFULLY. So much fun to watch all the drama unfold 🤭

Also in this book: both the spice and the racing drama definitely step up! Val traveling with Gabriel to the Grand Prix towards the last third had me RAVING. I love the interconnectedness that’s allowed now that they’re in a relationship. Like the hot laps scene? They are ADORABLE!

Little details in the writing style have also gotten so clean. I.e. use of some of the repetitive language that was in Part One has been smoothed out, and a lot of the detail and description is absolutely splendid. I had no gripes with the writing other than a copy error here and there, and even that was nothing huge. Tiny thing but I adore the little sunflower icons at the start of the chapters :))

As you cruise towards the end of the book, Bridget literally full sends it and you are left with this feeling of GIVE ME MORE!!!!! I truly found these characters even more captivating and am personally intertwined with their fates. She’s written such brilliant three-dimensional personalities into a story fraught with drama and twists and turns you will NOT believe.

So. WATCH YOUR LAPTOP BRIDGET L. ROSE. I AM COMING FOR CHASE.

This sequel picks up after the explosive ending to where Rush Part One left off, following Valentina as she tries to fulfill her dreams of being a Formula One racer. I loved how she continues to be determined and fierce, she's set on following her dreams and I could see how others may find inspiration from her story.

In the first book I admit I preferred James as the love interest over Gabriel, but I'm definitely switching my opinion. Gabriel was so romantic in this book, I still love how Valentina and him bond over their favourite books! I also enjoyed how in this book we got to see Gabriel's POV, his thoughts about Val will have everyone swooning.

The spice levels really heated up in this book and I loved it, the chapters are short but make up for it with the steam!

The pacing was fast and I rushed (pun intended!) through this book, I just couldn't put it down.

The ending was an absolute emotional roller-coaster, I loved the direction of the story and Valentina's future, but it also doesn't end entirely happy. I'm beyond excited to see where this love story goes in the next instalment as well as hopefully seeing Val finally live out her lifelong dreams!

The idea for the novel was good, but it was poorly executed when written.

I loved Adrian and Val’s friendship, as well as how they all got along with James and Gabriel. However, I hated Val. She was always looking for a reason to be angry at Gabriel or distance herself from him. All of this when at the beginning of the novel she had been mad at him for wanting her but not wanting to be with her in a relationship, and then she was doing the same to him and expected to be understand!

I also think that Eduardo’s and Val’s relationship was not developed correctly. He came as fast as he disappeared, and for that reason I think he was unnecessary in the novel. I felt like the author was trying to give the story more entertainment with him and make it more interesting but couldn’t do it correctly.

Nevertheless, it is possible to enjoy some of the book as I consider some scenes cute and enjoyable. I would never read it again, nor would I recommend it to someone looking for a good book to read.
It wasn’t awful but it wasn’t good mostly because of Val for me. I just did not like her at all.

“Mon tournesol” my new fave nickname.
This book was perfection I couldn’t put it down.
I had so many emotions going on right from the start.
Rush part two picks up where book 1 ends and we get to see Valentinas journey through the drivers academy, the ups and downs of what its like to be a woman trying to get a F1 seat.
I loved the pacing of this book and it flowed constantly.
The end of chapter 36 I ready to throw the book like I couldn’t believe Bridget done that to us.
My love for Valentina and Gabriel will always be strong, they have such a strong connection and the chemistry between them is even more hotter in this book 🥵.
I was excited to see more of the other characters again and how their stories are growing on the side.
The ending well PAIN... that is all im feeling right now and im really hoping the next book will bring them together again.

who knew a book will make me fall in love with Formula 1!!! 🏁
A huge shoutout to Bridget for sending me her book in return for an *honest review.*

I fell for this book when I saw the teaser reels the author posted and put this in my TBR immediately ✨ it was 𝘧𝘶𝘯, 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘭, 𝘦𝘹𝘤𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘢𝘮𝘢𝘻𝘪𝘯𝘨!

The slow burn and pining was amazing and every single character was realistic and the spotlight that’s thrown on side characters without undermining the MC depicts 𝘨𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘵 𝘸𝘳𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘴𝘵𝘺𝘭𝘦 💖

𝑽𝒂𝒍𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒂 was badass and determined! I love her passion for her dreams and how she is so relentless in her pursuit ( it reminded me of myself and my dreams 💭) I adored the way she was with Adrian (her brother) The sibling duo is GOALS 😩 her moments of ups and downs and her feelings are something that everyone feels at one point of their life! And the way Bridget wrote her “confused-about-what-I-want phase” was perfect ✨

𝑮𝒂𝒃𝒓𝒊𝒆𝒍 has a wicked mouth 🫦 and he’s the latest member of my harem *insert drum roll* and *suggestive gestures*. I absolutely love love loveeee Gab here! I’ll probably start my own fan club!
It’s so vulnerable and sweet to see how he thinks he doesn’t deserve Val and wants better for her and tries to see her with another man 🥺 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘉𝘌𝘚𝘛 𝘗𝘈𝘙𝘛 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘩𝘦 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘥𝘵𝘢𝘯𝘵𝘭𝘺 𝘮𝘢𝘥𝘦 𝘴𝘶𝘳𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘝𝘢𝘭𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘢’𝘴 𝘱𝘳𝘪𝘰𝘳𝘪𝘵𝘺 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘥𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘮 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘩𝘪𝘮... the way he made sure that she was happy and 𝘮𝘢𝘥𝘦 𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘥𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘮𝘴 𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘰𝘸𝘯! 🥹❤️

Adrian and James, the brother and the best friend respectively, deserve special mention because of their personalities and support and love 💕 they are absolutely amazing and handsome as sin 🤩 Their humour and their hearts are beautiful and watching them was truly amazing and satisfying 🫠😍
