This is the second book in Terk’s Guardians #2. I love finding out what the team can do with their energy work. Clary is in Azerbaijan to check up on Larry, a patient she kept alive 5 years earlier. After Legend found out that his father planned to take over the government, Legend went to Azerbaijan to protect his half-brother, Larry. Once his father’s planned coup fails, the action picks up. The people who worked for his father want to get paid and think they can get it if they kidnap or kill Larry. Legend knows he must take Larry away to keep him safe and as much as Legend is annoyed by Larry’s tutor/nanny, he knows that he needs to take her with them when they escape. With help from Clary, Brody, and Blair, Legend keeps Larry safe. I think we will see more of Legend in the future now that he’s joined Terkel’s team.

The prologue of this book brings us up to date on things from the first book. Then leads us into a call from a friend of Terk's who needs his help to find one man in particular, Legend. Last Jeremy knew he was attacked and then nothing. On top of that there's suspicion that Legend is on the wrong side, a traitor. Terk doesn't believe that for a minute so that will now be a priority.

Clary is off checking on patients, and one in particular has her worried. Larry, who she brought back from the brink of death about five years ago, seems to be alright by something is off with his energy. Clary thinks it may be an external attack on him and contacts Terk. She's concerned there may be a kidnapping attempt, and the boy's father says the budget to keep his son safe is unlimited. Of course, Brody isn't going to let her face danger alone and is already packing when Terk gives the okay. Clary informs them of the two other people close to Larry, his nanny and bastard brother. They both have their energy locked down so she can't get a read on them. Terk is even more interested when she names the brother, Legend.

Legend is the one who contacts Terk, he needs to get his brother out of the country and his nanny Blair with him. His father is involved in some political things that have Legend concerned for all their safety.

As soon as Brody arrives, they leave and not a moment too soon. They aren't all that far away when they hear gun shots from the mansion. They need a car and quickly if they are going to successfully get away.

Their car has been compromised, but Legend works around it and gets it to them. It's an AGV automated guided vehicle he has taken control of, not wanting to risk another driver. When it arrives, he does a thorough check to be sure it's alright. They need to find food and a safe place to stay while everything plays out.

Their father has begun his coup and there is nothing Legend can do except keep his brother and Blair safe. Thankfully he has Clary and Brody to help him and there is even a couple appearances by Riff.

A lot happens in this book as they try to figure out who is targeting Larry and why. Plenty of action and I loved the interactions between Blair and Legend. Yep, they were made for each other, they just have to admit it.

I really can't wait to read the next book in this series.

Legend and his father do not get along with each other. His father is a war-monger who has been planning a coup of his government for years. Legend absolutely cannot agree with his father. He has tried to talk him out of it, but he will not listen. Therefore, Legend walks away from his father. However, when Legend hears about a government uprising, he knows that his father finally managed to pull it off.

Legend is worried about Larry, his ten 10-years old half brother. He knows that his father’s henchmen are nasty, selfish and uncaring people that do not care about Larry’s safety. Legend races to Larry’s home to hastily carry him to a safe place where no one can find them.

Legend includes Larry’s nanny tutor, Blair, with them when they run away. Blair has been with Larry since his mother died, eight years ago. She and Legend had dated at one time until he broke up with her. Since then, they have been rude, antagonistic and are constantly arguing with each other. However, since Blair is the only mother-figure that Larry has ever known, she is a necessary part of their entourage.

However, when the insurrection fails, and their father is arrested, his henchmen are all looking for quick escape routes. But first they each decide that they deserve to be compensated for their hard work. With their boss in jail, they are unable get this payment for their part in the uprising. Therefore, each of the greedy henchmen decides to kidnap Larry and use him as a bargaining chip to get money from Legend.

At this point, Legend, Larry and Blair find themselves running for their lives. Readers will become immersed by the novel’s fast-paced action, intriguing suspense and the many twists and turns that the characters take in order to stay ahead of their pursuer.

It is wonderful to see Terkel and his team again. Terkel notices Legend’s special ways. and it is great fun to watch Terkel attempt to coax Legend to become part of his team.

This is the third book in Dale Mayer's "Terk's Guardians" series and although it can be read as a standalone it is better to read the series in sequence.
Terk's Guardians were a team of elite ex military men who formally worked for the government but now worked in the private sector, their fame was spreading as were their numbers but they never seemed to have enough men, men, who were fearless, men who had their own special powers.
Legend was one such man, a man that Terk wanted on his team, Legend was aware that he had something special about him but he wasn't sure what..........but Terk knew.
Legend's father was power hungry, he was looking to overthrow the government creating a bloody coup, Legend wanted nothing to do with his father, he disagreed with him every step of the way but he couldn't walk away and leave Larry, his ten year old brother, a child so special, a child with knowledge beyond his years, Legend had to get him away and that meant also rescuing Blair, his nanny at the same time.
This story follows the journey of Legend, Larry and Blair as they escape from men who would use Larry's life as a bargaining chip to get money from his father's estate, Legend would do anything, with the help of Terk's team, to keep Larry and his feisty nanny safe, could Legend fall for the beautiful Blair........no he didn't believe in commitment, or did he ?
Another great story of conflict, danger and a smattering of psychic powers, oh and of course, romance.

I enjoyed this story with the plight of a very special boy in the hands of Legend, Blair and the team from Terk. I like the whole background of the attempted coup and the sizzling tension between Lagend and Blair. I loved the relationships between Blair and Larry who was such a grown-up ten year old and between Larry and Legend. Lots of twists and turns in the story. The story was well written and you could really feel and empathise with their thoughts and feelings. Contains a little mature content at the very end.

Another interesting and twisted plot, Legend is determined to protect his half brother from the craziness of their father and his schemes, but with threats coming at them from everywhere it's not easy. Compounded by the strong Blair who is stubborn and not taking no for an answer. Thankfully they have some back up help. Larry is special and im sure we dont get very much of an idea just what he can do but i do know he will grow and expand his abilities as he gets older. With Terkel helping and hoping these three will join the team its just a task of living and making sure they are all safe. Exciting with a few suspenseful action sections, it gripped and had my interest high throughout, I love learning about the different gifts and just how expansive they are, it fascinates me, stretches my imagination and has me wondering if any of it is really possible. Fabulous characters, each very different but with wonderful characteristics, easy to like. Well written with a steady to fast flow and easy to read, a bit of steam and heat near the end which was the icing on the top.

I listened to the audio book. Although I enjoyed the narration, I did have a few moments where I wasn't sure who was speaking. There were a couple of times the scene transitioned to another scene and I wasn't aware.

I didn't much care for Blair. At least not Blair and Legend being together. I thought her behavior toward Legend was somewhat caustic. Her reasoning for the behavior was lame. I did like that she cared about Larry.

I did like that Terkel seemed to be pulling all of the energy workers to him. I also liked how determined Legend was to protect Larry. I felt like Blair kind of morphed into a different type of person at some point.

There were plenty of twists, some surprises, action, danger, and suspense. I found the concept of energy workers and even information about how they were evolving to be intriguing.

I would give this 3.5 stars. It seemed to me that it took more than a normal amount of time for Legend and Blair to draw some natural, common sense conclusions about certain situations.

I enjoyed reading Legend . Terk and his guardians are back and Terk's wanting Legend to join the family in the castle complex . Clary one of Terk's people has been checking on Larry one of her young patients . Larry's father has enemies and they may target Larry . Clary feels he's in danger maybe mentally and definitely physically . Larry just happens to be the younger brother of Legend . Clary's husband Brody heads to help protect Them including Blair who is Larry's nanny . As Brody arrives so does Legend they rush to get them all to safety . Blair and Legend have a connection but Legend refuses to act on it he doesn't want to disturb Larry's life . Of course things are about to change drastically as the danger heads their way . This story is sensational full of suspense and intrigue and a taste of romance . I highly recommend taking the time to read .

Legend had to protect his younger brother, Larry. Their dad was trying to take over a country, and his enemies would use his brother as leverage. His father never acknowledged Legend as his son publicly, only Larry. That didn’t matter to Legend. Protecting his ten-year-old brother did.
Blair had been Larry’s nanny for a few years now. He was brilliant and often more of an adult than a boy. Now that Larry was in danger, she would do all she could to protect him. She wasn’t alone, though. She had Clary and Legend and Clary’s husband, Brody, as well. Mr. Kartel had many enemies, and their sights were now on Larry.
It is a fast-paced and exciting story with unique characters.

Legend and his devotion to saving his 10 year old half-brother is the basis for this new tale, the second book of the very popular Terk's Guardian series. What Legend didn't count on was Larry's tutor/nanny Blair needing help as well. Nor did he know about the connection between Larry and Clary from Terk's team. About 5 years before, Clary had helped Larry come out of a near death crisis and now there is a close connection between these two possibly putting them in jeopardy. It was very difficult to put this book down with it's great characters, multiple interesting developments, and continued mystery.
Can't wait for book #3 in this series as Bojan is looking pretty intriguing!.

Legend & Blair

A story about a boy, Larry, mature beyond his years, being used as a pawn in his father’s political fight for power.

Larry’s older brother, Legend, does not support their father’s power agenda and fights to keep Larry safe.

I have great respect for Blair keeping Larry on track with his studies, well fed and safe. She has no choice but to interact with Legend when he receives information that Larry is going to be kidnapped and used as leverage against their father to swing the politics in an unsafe way.

I enjoy Blair and Legend’s interaction and how Larry, just a young boy, has a very mature insight in what is really happening with his father.

Great story, full of pride, determination and inspiration with a very sweet HEA.

Legend, book two in the Terkel's Guardians series. Life wasn't right for Legend, his mom died, his dad found someone else, they had Larry and his dad was I to as stuff to get ahead. Blaire is the tutor and nanny for Larry alongside Cary who nurses him a back to health. Things get so bad that running for your life may behe only answer. Loved these two, who seemed to be off and on again. The story was great and I loved seeing new and old characters in the book. Can't wait to read book three because Bullard is featured in it. Well worth the read. Before starting this series,it might be beneficial to read the first series with Terk in to introduce yourselves to the characters.

When Legend learns that his father’s activities have placed his brother Larry in danger his only concern is ensuring his safety. He arrives to plan their escape however the situation takes a dire turn and now he finds himself trying to protect his brother, his brother’s nanny and staying one step ahead of the people who mean them all harm.

Blair wasn’t prepared for the danger she found herself in however she is determined to be there for Larry. Even though she and Legend didn’t get off to the best start they have the best of intentions and a common goal.

Legend and Blair take us on an adventure filled with surprises, intrigue and find romance under the less-than-ideal circumstances that brought them together.

When Legend teams up with a couple of members from Terk’s team to protect his younger brother Larry, he also takes on the protection of Blair, Larry’s nanny and tutor. The two have history and it’s not that great but both have feelings for the other. Their connection starts up again and between both of their psychic abilities, they may have a chance of protecting his brother and each other.
A good read with some steam, suspense and good characters. Legend and Blair seemed to be bickering more than talking and I would have liked more on their history and more of them getting along and being with each other to get the connection. Otherwise a good read, fast paced and a HEA.

Legend has to move fast to get to his brother Larry before their father gets them killed. Arriving at the house see them move fast but also a member of Terks team already there. Legend learns fast just how much these 2 ladies has with Larry. When the crap hits the fan, working together too keep Larry safe see Legend facing the new challenges in his life. Finding a lady who he wants to see what they have together see you eding more to find out do they find a way to keep Larry safe and where their future takes them both professionally and personally.

Legend Book 2 of Terk's Guardians by Dale Mayer is another captivating story set in this series. A fast paced story that had a few twists I didn't see coming. Although each book is a couples standalone I highly recommend reading this series in order to get the absolute most out of each story as there is a continuing storyline.

Terk is trying to get Legend to join his team for a while and this case could be the one to get him to join. Clary has been helping Larry who is Legend's younger brother when thing start to go wrong. Brody heads that way to help protect them and Blair who watches over Larry. Blair and Legend have a connection that gets stronger as the danger gets worse. Fast paced with suspense, danger, twists and turns to keep Larry alive. Loved the way Blair handles things that come up.

Loved this newest installment. Legend and Blair are perfectly matched in all ways. Larry is a great kid, lots of potential in his future. Liked how Clary and Brody were more active in the story and not just doing research or driving. Cannot wait for Riff and his story. Action non ending, kick butt heroine, take no prisoners hero, and an HEA.

This is the second book in the Terk's Guardians series and can be read as a standalone story. Fast-paced with plenty of drama and intrigue. Legend has gone after his younger brother, Larry to protect him and his delightfully annoying nanny, Blair from the fallout of his father's political coup. We meet some old friends and get some new ones. Well-written, intriguing and has wonderful characters. Good Story.

This is such an interesting series getting to know more people who have special energy skills. And it's not only the adults who have the special skills. There is lots of danger and suspense in this story as Terk tries to keep his little brother Larry safe, along with Larry's tutor/nanny, Blair. He also gets help from Clary and Brody, which is good because it takes all of their resources to resolve matters.

This one blew the first book out of the water! I was gripped from the beginning and couldn't put it down. Legend and Blair are some of my favorite characters this author has come up with. And I loved seeing old favorites as well. There is plenty of action and suspense to go beside the slow burn romance. I can't wait for the next one! And I really want Riff's book, he gets more intriguing with each story.

Energy work and psychic conversations....

...Larry embraces it all, but Legend struggles to accept it and the concept of the team. The interplay between Legend, Blair and Lenny is littered with mistrust, disbelief and questions, but there is also plenty of love, hope and possibilities, all accompanied with plenty of humour and sassy quips.
Terk's Guardians is shaping up to be a fantastic series and I cannot wait to see Riff finally get his story.

EXCELLENT STORY AN ADDICTING INTRIGUING READ!!!!! I loving this series and have been waiting for this book, and it was so well worth the wait . Legend needs the help of Terk and his team to save his brother Larry and his nanny Blair after their father does some political hijinks. Clary has been looking after Larry for quite sometime and the confusion surrounding Legend leads this story along with the father. Lots of drama and love the interaction between him and Blair. Lots of special abilities in this one. Another great read in the spinoff series for Terk and his team. I volunteered to read this book via booksprout.

I loved reading about the characters in this book. Their personalities are strong and they mix together well, especially Larry and his comments. I hope we learn more about him and watch him grow as the series continues. Blair made me laugh at the way she reacted to things that happen.

This is book two in this new series. Legend has a crazy father who has a majorly big plan to take over the country and a ten year old brother who lives with this father. Legend will do anything to get Larry away from their father but that would leave Blair, nanny/tutor,with no where to go. What to do?.

This one is very much a game of cat n mouse where Legend, Blair and the others can't get far due to not only the danger that comes in waves at them, but also the need to put an end to the danger. Further hints are dropped at future characters and the Guardians family continues to grow.

This story can be read alone but better if you haven't missed the last one for character growth.
This was an intriguing tale with Legend on a mission to save his brother.
This story was full of suspense and action and there was a lot going on that I won't give away. A continuing mystery will have me reaching for the next story for sure.
