A see yourself out note isn’t how you want to celebrate the morning after your first one- night stand.

The first time I meet Archer Callahan is when I block him in a parking spot.
The second is a fender bender.
The third is at a bar, drinking away our problems, and finding our way to his bed.

I never expected to see him again.
That changes when a month later, he’s introduced as my brother’s new business partner.
In need of a job, I’m hired at their bar, much to Archer’s dismay.

We hate each other.
We’re off limits.
But every time we’re together, flashbacks of that night shake through us.

We push, we pull, until one of us breaks.

Enemies-ish to long time longing for each other lovers? The hero thinks he doesn’t deserve love and that he’s a piece of crap, and the heroine is perfect and has the biggest heart ever. I really love Georgia and wish she was my best friend 😂 So the hero doesn’t think he deserves her, so he pushes her away by being a jerk face.

It’s enjoyable. I can honestly say that I did not expect their story to be so slow-burn after the initial ONS, but it honestly worked for this couple. The hero really needed to work stuff out and I like that they just couldn’t resist the pull and comfort they felt with each other.

I will say that I’m also happy that Cohen wasn’t a controlling mess in this one. I mean, I liked his character in book one, but for some reason I got the odd vibe that he would be super aggressive about his friend and his sister having something, and that wasn’t the case. Charity definitely made this book about Archer and Georgia, and not about what everyone else thought about them and I appreciate that.

All in all a great read and I have high hopes for book three. I feel like the tripe has potential to be fire. 👏🏽

Shaken is the 2nd book in the Twisted Fox series. It is a one night stand, enemies to lovers, brother's friend/colleague romance between Georgia & Archer who we met in the previous book. These books can be read as standalone's but I always suggest reading interconnected series in order to get the full effect of the story.

Georgia - I instantly fell in love with Georgia when we met her in Stirred (book 1). On the outside she is a smart, sassy, fun loving, out going & strong character with a heart of gold. She speaks her mind and puts people in their place when necessary but on the inside she battles with abandonment issues as well as feeling unwanted or not good enough to make people stay. Though she been hurt in the past she never gives up going after what she wants.

Archer - oh Archer beautifully broken Archer. He was stubborn, grouchy, emotionally closed off with walls built high. He did not like to let people in too far but also selfishly did not want to let Georgia go. He was often hard to get a read on but you know he cared deeply he just had a hard time expressing himself. He was far from perfect and half the time I wanted to knock some sense into him but boy did I love him.

Their story was not perfect. It was messy, frustrating, passionate, drama packed, angsty with a few sweet and light moments, so very addicting and a super quick and easy read. It was a big cycle of push/pull dynamic, a giant game of cat and mouse but l really enjoyed the way it played out. We got to go back and see how these two started and how their relationship initially developed which was heavily hinted at in book 1 and helps fill in some of those gaps as well as sets up the next couple which I am super excited for. Over all I am completely obsessed with this series and can't wait for books 3, 4 & 5.

This was a really disappointing read for me. Charity Ferrell’s books are either hit or miss for me and I was hoping this would be better than it ended up being.
I even considered DNF at several points but stuck with it.

The beginning was a promising start, Georgia and Archer have a few car trouble related run ins (she blocks him in a parking spot and he rear-ends her car) before they are both drowning in their misery at a bar when they see each other and have a one night stand where he leaves without saying goodbye the next morning. The plot falls apart after this. Her brother and Archer open a bar together and Archer rejects Georgia. Instead of getting the hint she keeps chasing him while saying “I hate you” and he keeps weirdly saying sweet things every now and then while rejecting her. This part of the story was angsty and probably the best part but the whole time I kept thinking this is stupid – why is Georgia so obsessed with him? (hate how much of a doormat/pathetic person she was and this was probably the biggest reason I hated this book), why is she crying in every other scene? why does Archer feel so connected to her (except them sleeping together initially there was nothing that made me feel like they belonged together, no scenes of them bonding as friends, no quirks to their empty personalities to make me feel that they belong together). Once in the plot they eventually do get together it got even more boring. Their inner thoughts were very repetitive and cheesy. I just wanted it to be over.

Basically the plot in this books sucks and the main H/h both suck (probably one of my least favorite heroines ever read). I did like the angsty scenes as I do think Ferrell is a good writer and her books have potential.

I would not recommend this book but I have liked some of the authors past works so will try my hand at some of her other books in the future.

'Shaken' is the first book of 'Twisted Fox' by the author Charity Ferrell. Told in dual perspectives , this book had all the feels!

I thought this would be a normal Second chance Romance , but it was so much more! I loved the angst between the characters and the storyline too!

Archer and Georgia had one hell of a tale that will have you hooked right from the start to the very end. They both had a one night stand years ago , which pretty much turned to shit. Archer broke things off with her when he found out that she was his new business partner's sister. He was dealing with some heavy issues and my heart just broke for him so bad!

Georgia was heartbroken when Archer disregarded her. She stayed away from him , but a attraction like theirs could be controlled for only so long. Soon they both found themselves making use of stolen moments and opportunities and came close once again. Now it is up to them both to stay together this time.

This story was heart-breaking and I absolutely loved every word. A definite recommendation to all the contemporary romance lovers out there!!

Jesus! This book is fucked up! I only finished it to know what exactly hpnd in Archer's past to make him the man he is! N this came after 70% of the book! Lord! My patience! I wudnt have suffered through this God-Awful story otherwise. The main highlight of this book is that the heroine is a spineless ninny with no backbone! She has zero self-respect n keeps chasing the hero even after he treats her like shit! He wud ve come to his senses a lot sooner had she not been a pathetic, whiny bitch n had maintained some semblance of distance! Instead she had to play whiplash n push n pull games with the hero all while disregarding her happiness n making herself look too needy! I don't know why so many authors these days write such horrible female characters! That just over shadows any positive aspects of the books! In this, I dunno how the heroine being semi-independent n stubborn could even settle for less in her life! Shameful really!

I really liked the first book in the series but this was awful. I even had trouble finishing it and skimmed till the end cause I couldn't read anymore how awful Archer treated Georgia and how she didn't have a little self esteem and backbone and told him to f*ck off. Because thats what a normal person would do but no he would say and do terrible things to her than he would say I'm sorry and she immediately will drop on her knees. 🤦‍♀️ I don't even want to read the other books now.

Too many push/pulls from both characters it gave me whiplash. It got annoying after awhile and just wanted the book to end.
The H needed to grow some balls and the h needed backbone. There’s nothing more annoying than when the h is doing all the chasing and the pleading even when she’s been told by the H to get lost. Desperation is not romantic.

A one night stand that meant something to her, but not to him, and now she and Archer aren't exactly on friendly terms. And now he's her brother's business partner, so off-limits it is. Which shouldn't be a problem considering she can't stand the jackass, but...yeah. Attraction and chemistry are not something you choose, but rather are chosen for you. Georgia shouldn't want him, doesn't want to want him, but obviously her body isn't on the same page as her mind. Will she walk away from this with her heart intact, or will Archer's issues break her, break them?

Angsty af, emotional, steamy, and such a great read. I loved Georgia - she's got such a big heart, is loyal and sweet, in complete opposite of character to Archer. Honestly, Archer drove me nuts. He had such a heartbreaking backstory that made his behavior cruel and cold, but once that story was revealed, understandable TO A POINT. I wanted to smack him throughout most of the story, as his cruel behavior deliberately hurt sweet Georgia, and even though I understood why he was the way he was, it did not make me want to smack him any less. As I said, though, I loved Georgia, and I loved this story. I had wanted it since reading about these two in Stirred, and the wait was more than worth it.

I've been not so patiently awaiting for this baby to hit my kindle, and as soon as they did I dropped everything so I could immerse myself in all of these beautiful characters. A few hours later, I can honestly say that this is Charity's best book to date!!

If you've read Stirred, then you know that Archer and Georgia had one heck of a story coming our way, and holy crap it's absolutely everything. A brothers best friend, enemies to lovers with so much angst? YES.

So Archer and Georgia had a one night stand years ago (after some hilarious run-ins with one another) they were drowning their respective troubles with whiskey, and what Georgia thought was a true connection, turned out to not be. And when Archer finds out that the woman who he can't stop thinking of is his new business partners younger sister, he knows he needs to step back. My poor Archer is dealing with some *heavy* emotional trauma that he refuses to work through, and believes that he's no good for anyone, and thinks that by being cruel he'll save G the heartache in the long run..(men are idiots) but if course that just brings her even more pain.. And even though I understood to a point where Archer was coming from, I just wanted to smack him. Repeatedly. In the face. With a chair. But I still loved him so much.😭😭

And when they were finally together, no bullshit? PERFECTION. This is my absolute FAVORITE couple this author has ever written!! I was so in my feelings with every page, the heat between G and Archer is so palpable and intense, and the obvious love they have for one another is just everything. Plus that ending was so adorable!!

I can't wait for more in this series!!! We're introduced to Archers brother who just got out of prison (his story is next -- and you get to meet his love interest too, and trust me, she's a spitfire!!) Plus a certain best friends who are DEFINITELY in love with one another.. gah, I am just so obsessed with this series!! Go read this book as SOON as you can!!

**I received an ARC of this book and these are my honest opinions!**

I really hated Archer. This is one of those times where I spent a majority of the book cursing the hero. I literally wanted to beat Archer’s head in so many times. I wanted to beat in Georgia’s head as well for loving such a douchebag!

Woo...with that being said.

I really loved Archer. Confused? Yeah, so am I. I hate him but I also love him. But I hate that I love him. He’s a damn conundrum and the heroine was a freakin’ saint for putting up with his ass. Personally, I would’ve never given the time of day after what he did the first time. Yep. THE FIRST TIME.

He’s hot and he’s cold. He’s yes then he’s no. Pretty much that whole Katy Perry song is Archer. It must seem like all I’m doing is talking shit but I really did like this book. The angst is on point (boy, is it on point!!), the romance is swoony at times, and the chemistry is off the charts hot. Plus there’s the whole set up for the future couples in the series—which I’m definitely Looking forward to.

I had a hard time with our dear hero, and Georgia for loving him so unconditionally when he didn’t deserve it. In my opinion anyway. Even until the very end I wanted her to tell him to fuck off. But we love who we love. And I have no doubt he’ll make it up to her in spades. Just see for yourself! He’s complicated and rough around the edges.

I'm a sucker for brother's best friend and enemies to lovers romances and Shaken combines both tropes. Needless to say this story was a winner for me. After meeting Georgia and her fiery personality in Stirred, the precedent novel in the Twisted Fox Series, I was eager to read her own story!

I loved how Georgia and Archer meets with all the animosity, but also underlying attraction between them. It was really entertaining to watch them sparring verbally. I was really interested at first, but I felt that the constant antagonizing was running in circles and their relationship took time to change into something more, hence my four star rating.

Archer is damaged and doesn't make it easy for Georgia to win his heart. Working together at the Twisted Fox, they're constantly arguing. There's a lot of back and forth that had my head spinning. I enjoyed how Georgia keeps fighting for Archer. Even if at times she's truly destroyed by his poor attitude toward her. They're such a lovely couple when they're fighting their battles together and not against each other.

As it was the case with the previous book, the presence of the secondary characters made this story even more pleasant. Between humor, sexiness and emotions, Shaken was a very satisfying romance! I can't wait to continue this amazing series!

Skaken despite being the second book in the Twisted Fox series by the author Charity Ferrell is the first that I read from the author, and it was a pleasant surprise since I found this book very pleasant to read.

As I didn't read the first book in the series, all the characters here are new to me, but I had no difficulty understanding the story since the books tell the story of different couples in the same universe. Here we have the story of Archer and Georgia, a light, romantic and fun story that has a light dose of drama, but a reading that kept me entertained until the end.

Let's go to the characters. I really liked Georgia, she is fun, cheerful, determined and loyal to her friends. As for Archer, I found him very frustrating in most of the book, he is that character that sends mixed signals, that you can see his true intentions and feelings but that he fights against him until the last minutes. The dynamic between these two was fun to see, and I just wish I had more of their moments together as a couple.

As the book tells the story of a group of friends falling in love, I can't wait for the next book and see the other characters having their happy ending.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ “While she’s a dose of pleasure, I’m a cocktail of misery.”

What you’ll find:
✔️Enemies to Lovers Romance
✔️One Night Stand
✔️Brothers Business Partner
✔️Slow Burn
✔️Dual POV

Georgia and Archer keep bumping into each other. Literally. And it isn’t friendly. Well, until the third time when drinks at a bar lead to one sexy night together. But that doesn’t end well. A month later he’s introduced as her brothers new business partner. And when she ends up needing a job, they become coworkers. Despite hating each other, the chemistry is still there. Denied, until one of them breaks.

This read was fun, flirty, hilarious and steamy! Which I’m beginning to love from this author! This story goes back in time if you’ve read the first book in this series- Stirred. It starts as a series of misfortunate mishaps, that turns into a one night stand, and then becomes a epic slow burn full of sexy tension. Sounds complicated, I know. But it works out well.

I was so pulled in at the beginning, the banter was so on point. Making me laugh out loud. Archer was a broody jerk determined to steer clear of Georgia after their night together, but fate has other plans. To be honest, I wanted to do Archer bodily harm many times in this story. He had a sad past. But come on. Georgia was the bomb .com. Do people still say that? Anywho. She was so selfless, sassy, strong. She is that friend everyone wants to have. But sometimes I felt she should have left him and his hang ups high and dry. And other times I couldn’t get enough of how tender they could be with each other. When you weren’t cutting that sexual tension with a knife, that is!

So I wasn’t sold on Archer completely, making me get lost a little in the middle, but I did enjoy the story. And adore this authors writing! There’s such a great bunch of side characters that I really adore. I’m so excited for their stories too. Definitely check this book and author out!

I was graciously provided an eARC for my honest review.

When Archer leaves his family company and decides to open a bar, he thinks finally he can have a second chance and move on from his past. Archer doesn’t think his life could get much worse anyway, until he learns that his new partner’s sister is the girl he had a one-night-stand with months ago—Georgia.

For weeks, Georgia & Archer kept running into each other and the two couldn’t be more different. But after commiserating together at a dive bar, they end up hooking up. When Georgia wakes up in Archer’s bed the next morning, he was nowhere to be found. They never expected to see each other again—nor did they want to. So when they’re forced to work together at Twisted Fox, the two of them couldn’t be any more displeased.

Georgia & Archer can’t stand each other but they’re also wildly attracted to one another. And you know what they say about hate & love...

Shaken by Charity Ferrell is book 2 in the Twisted Fox series. Ever since Archer & Georgia were introduced in book 1, I couldn’t wait to read their romance. This story starts out well before the bar opens and before book 1 happens. I loved seeing the backstory between our two main characters and their banter was great. Archer is a very tortured soul and Georgia was the perfect match for him. The story slowed down a lot when they finally got together around the 75% mark. It felt less entertaining to me at that point, so I docked a half star due to that. 3.5/5 stars.

Georgia and Archer were bickering the entire time in Stirred, Cohen and Jamie’s story. We know they have some sort of past but we don’t know the specifics. This book starts off before Stirred and then about halfway through we get to the point where we left off in Stirred at the gender reveal party. It gives us the background of Georgia and Archer’s relationship and we understand why they are constantly at each other’s throats! Even though he can be a jerk, Archer has some issues from his past that make him doubt himself. And Georgia wonders why so many people leave her. I loved how this was written because even though it is an HEA, towards the end there are some questions still about if they will work. As we all know, relationships are constant work to keep them healthy and it’s not all rainbows and unicorns! I loved getting to know Georgia and Archer more and getting into their heads! This was another great read by Charity Ferrell! I am loving this series and can’t wait for more of the Twisted Fox bunch!

Shaken is the second book in the Twisted Fox series and the angst in this lovers to enemies to lovers / best friends sister book is high!

Archer and Georgia met by chance one night in a bar. It did not end well. When they had yet another chance encounter it got even worse. Then when Archer realizes Georgia is the little sister of his best friend the real back and forth begins.

Archer is dark and broody and Georgia is the complete opposite. She is happy and draws everyone in with her bubbly personality. They couldn't be more opposite and couldn't be more right for each other. Part of the book I wanted to throttle Archer but the rest I just wanted to hug him. He has deep dark demons he must overcome and thankfully Georgia is a saint and stands by while he works himself out.

I have enjoyed these first two books in this series and look forward to reading more from this group!

I have been waiting for Archer and Georgia’s story and it is one great story!

Archer and Georgia’s story is emotional, slow-burn, and angsty. Sometimes I got so frustrated with these two, especially with Archer. Georgia storms into his life and shows him so much more he could be. But there's so much guilt embedded in him and refuses to allow himself to be happy. So they go back and forth with each other. They definitely have hot chemistry. Man, they're always on high tension.

I really enjoyed this slow-burn. I highly recommend this book. And I can’t wait for the rest of the series!

I loved Archer and Georgia! I enjoyed going back to the beginning and seeing how everything began between them. There was lots of tension and angst which helped keep me interested. Archer and Georgia had a great dynamic and their moments as a couple were most of my favorite parts. This was an engaging storyline with real and flawed characters that will keep you invested in their story.

I wasn't sure about Archer and Georgia and im not gonna lie with his hot and cold put off behavior I almost wanted her to run not walk away. I will say Georgia honestly has the patience of a saint cause I would have lost it on Archer way before she does. I will say when Archer and Georgia both realize he is her brothers new business partner they both agree to keep quiet. I wasn't sure how it was gonna work out but these two definitely have a love/ hate thing going on. When these two are on they are amazing together but man does Archer and his back and forth drive ya crazy. I will say once Archer gave in and realized he truly loved her and that wasn't going away it picked up and the ending was just right.

Would have been a solid 4 stars, but the book tanked around 80-85%ish and beyond. The book should have just ended there but no, we had to get another ‘break up’/separation and then forgiveness. The H HAD to mess up again and the h HAD to take him back...AGAIN *insert eye roll*. I felt like by 80% the H had shown redeeming qualities and the book should have ended. Having him mess up AGAIN and have the h take him back was disappointing to me. He’s let her down so many times that I was sick of him as a character. Once I finally forgave him, the author made him leave her at the hospital with no word and then the h hunted him down a week later. IMO the h is too forgiving.

Disappointing since I have looked forward to reading about this couple since book one.

Book 2 in the Twisted Fox series. We got to meet Archer and Georgia in Stirred and I have been waiting for their story and now it is here. Loved this story so much. A great enemies to lovers romance (one of my favorite tropes). They hated each other but were still drawn to each other. The chemistry between them was so hot. You will be pulled in from page one and their story will stay with you long after the last page. I can’t wait for the next story in this series.

Fifty chapters in this book and only the last four the H and h are really together. The H had one foot out the door the entire book. How are readers suppose to BELIEVE that this is a love story when the book focuses on so much negative?

This is the second book from the Twisted Fox series and if you’ve read the first one then you’ll know that Archer and Georgia’s story would be coming our way. We’ll here it is, this is their story and trust me when I say you won’t be disappointed with it.

Archer and Georgia initially meet when they have a few run-ins with one another, then meeting again sees them drowning their sorrows in Hennessy together which results in them having a hot and steamy one stand, at the time Georgia thought they shared a more meaningful connection but was clearly mistaken when she found herself alone the following morning with donuts and money left out for an Uber ride home, however that wasn’t their last encounter, the pair can’t seem to escape one another when it’s revealed that Archer’s friends and soon to be business partners with Georgia’s brother.

Brooding Archer has been dealing with some issues, carrying an emotional burden which has lead him to believe he’s no good for anyone, especially the beautiful, kind hearted Georgia, he decides to shut her out by giving off some rather cruel vibes towards her, this goes on over the span of a couple of years. Archer believes that by behaving the way he does towards Georgia he’s saving her more heartache in the long run, however all he does is cause her pain more often than not, the reason I say that is because we do get to see a more vulnerable side of him on the odd occasion, Georgia’s the only one who manages to break down Archer’s walls giving us readers glimpses of a man who’s been weighed down by grief, he’s actually a really great guy when he’s not being a grump and throwing mantrums left right and center, straight up I’m not going to lie to you I loved him whether he was grumpy, throwing out alpha vibes or being all vulnerable, Archer was just... amazing and together with Georgia they were both perfectly imperfect.

Read this fantastic five star read to see how Georgia manages to get emotional closed off Archer all 𝕊ℍ𝔸𝕂𝔼ℕ inside to the point where he can’t fight his feelings and we get to see the sweet vulnerable man who’s been hiding there all along.
