Being a mom can be hard. Exhausting. Lonely, even. In the trenches of motherhood, you may feel like you never get a break. But what if the daily grind of raising kids could actually help you grow closer to God and discover your truest self? Through humorous stories and poignant prayer reflections, Kelsey Gillespy, a mother of five, shares insights and tips on finding God and nurturing your spiritual life through the chaos and beauty of raising littles.
In reading this book, with plenty of nods, smiles, and outright laughs, I caught a glimpse of the why. Though I’m in a different season parenting, I well remember those days, and the agony, and the creativity it spurs. This book holds wisdom and hope, and it could be a must-read rec of the year for any mom who finds herself wondering why/how/when. Curl up with a cup of something hot and let Gillespy be the sister-girlfriend who will share a big hug and lots of encouragement.
This engaging book offers a healthy dose of spirituality from a mother’s perspective. It is especially encouraging for mothers who are parenting little ones and who want to make God their top priority. The author’s point of view is refreshing and demonstrates both the trials and the triumphs of motherhood.
So very encouraging. I want to gift it to all of my Christian mom friends !! I wish I would have read it when my little ones were smaller it would have helped I am sure!
I loved this book. It was so encouraging to my heart to hear how the author wrote about her experiences as a mother. Instead of trying to “make time” for God, she beautifully illustrates how you can meet God and commune with Him every day, in the midst of the chaos or mundane. Wherever you are in the trenches of motherhood, God is always there and waiting for you.
