From two USA Today bestselling authors comes a steamy MM enemy to lovers romance.

Ruger James Fulton is used to being confused. After barely graduating from high school, RJ took his one marketable skill and opened up an auto shop in town. Cars have always made sense to him, while the rest of the world makes him feel like an idiot.

The one thing he never had to think twice about was his sexuality until one night during a chance encounter with a biker from a rival MC. All it takes is a few minutes to turn RJ’s world upside down, leaving him to question everything he thought he knew about himself.

Thane Montgomery has spent the majority of his life alone, fending for himself. After finally finding a family with the Devil Hounds MC, he won’t do anything to screw it up, even if that means staying in the closet. He does whatever he’s told, like a good soldier should, in exchange for the club’s acceptance.

When Thane gets shot protecting the president’s daughter, he ends up in the last place he expected – in the home of one of the club’s enemies. Some of which are still holding one hell of a grudge against him.

RJ is furious when he finds out that the man who kidnapped his prospect is going to be a guest in his house. But mostly, he’s nervous about what may happen in such a close proximity to the only man he’s ever wanted.

This MC series does not disappoint!! As a huge fan of this author duo, I jumped at the chance to get my hands on this free ARC from Booksprout. It is important that you read this story in the correct reading order. This has huge spoilers if read out of order.

Most of the storyline is a mirror of Bear's book, only coming from the viewpoint of Ruger (RJ), the youngest Fulton. His instant/unexpected reaction to Thane's "interrogation" at (Bear's ex-wife) Lauren's reception - where he's not supposed to be! - causes all sorts of problems for him. The largest being that he's never been attracted to men, but Thane is an exception.
(Oh, and just to complicate things further, Thane is part of the Devil Hounds - a smaller MC in the neighboring town.)

I knew the story, so most of what I enjoyed in this one was the M/M interactions between these two inexperienced, insecure characters.
Jordan was a surprisingly fun character to enjoy! He's certainly come a long way from Colt's book!!

This MC club is easy to enjoy, and since I have enjoyed all of the other characters, it was a good conclusion to the founding Brothers in this Savage Kings chapter. I am SUPER excited to see what happens between this SKMC chapter and Isaac (and his club the Devil Hounds).

I voluntarily leave my review.

I really loved this book. Ruger never had any confidence in himself, even though he runs his own business. But when he met Thane, something changed. Thane always knew he was gay but kept it hidden so he wouldn’t lose his MC family. They both saw something in each other that could lead to love. Ruger finally accepted this and their relationship shows loyalty and love.

There's something a little bit innocent about Ruger. He sees himself as the one of his brothers who always makes mistakes and can't seem to get his life on track. Even though he runs a successful business and can fix anything with a motor, he's convinced himself that every decision he makes is the wrong one. He's terrified of letting his family and his MC down.

A chance encounter with Thane throws Ruger into an even greater state of confusion than usual. Until now, he's always hooked up with women, but Thane's hands on him during a weapons search has an unexpected effect on him. He'd know if he was attracted to men, right? Maybe, maybe not. Later, when Thane is injured and taken to the house Ruger shares with his brothers to recover, both his attraction for Thane and his confusion grow.

Thane has been hiding his true self for years. He's known that he's gay for a long time, but is terrified to tell his MC brothers. He's convinced he won't be accepted and won't risk losing his found family. Not only is he gay, but the object of his infatuation is a brother in the rival Savage Kings MC. That's two big reasons that Thane can't pursue anything with Ruger.

Thane is a bit cocky and smug; he's really a bit over the top at times. He uses his smart mouth to mask his loneliness. Despite challenging Ruger at every opportunity, Thane is much more sensitive than he is willing to reveal. He's also brave and loyal to his found family and his friends, which now includes Ruger and his brothers. What begins as experimentation between the two quickly becomes something much more intense. However, neither man can see himself committing to something more than the 'casual' arrangement they agreed to.

I really enjoyed Ruger's character development as he morphs from a self-confessed mess into a loving and committed partner. He too, shows his bravery and devotion to his family. He also gets to know himself and learn a bit about introspection. Thane started out a bit too smug and smart-mouthed for my taste. He's over the top cocky at times. Once we understand his motivation, those powerful defenses make a bit more sense. Despite a rough past, he's learned to accept himself fully, even if he's not quite willing to show his true self to the world. Together Ruger and Thane make a sweet and caring, if unexpected couple. They lend their strength to each other, enabling both to evolve and grow into themselves.

This story overlaps Bear's book and is best read in sequence for maximum enjoyment. There is enough context and back story provided, however, that the book can be read as a standalone.

Four stars for this unconventional MC romance.

This is an honest, voluntary review of an ARC of the story.

This book melted my heart

Such a heartwarming book. So much love and hotness. I just finished the book and I'm a puddle of mush. I know I'll be returning to this book like I go back to milkshakes for comfort food. I DID NOT WANT IT TO END! Please, please I'm praying, let there be more Thane and RJ in book 5 of this series. I've read MM books in other MC series and in general romance. Because this was an MC series I expected something harsher, and that would have been okay. But what I did not expect was this adorable couple with the humor and the gentleness and the deep consideration for each other. Ahhhh!
They one peculiar thing about this book was how it treated learning disabilities. RJ is a talented mechanic but in most other areas of life he is a little slow on the uptake. It takes him a minute to catch on to things and other people frequently need to explain to him what is going on. At a certain point in the book, Thane decides that RJ has an undiagnosed reading disability and the implication is that is the reason why he doesn't make connections as well as most people. That's really a disservice to people who genuinely have a reading disability. A reading disability does not equate to being a little slow. A person can have a reading disability and be the most clever, quick-minded person in the room. They just have some problem with reading. There are categories of disability for people who have significant deficits in cognitive functioning, but some people, perhaps like RJ, aren't considered as having a disability. They're just on the lower end of normal cognitive functioning.

This week, this is the 4th MC book I've read in a row, lol. And ask me if I care?
Nope, not a chance, because I always want to read more and more.
It's no news that I love MC books and to start a new one written by one of my favorite duos, I was on cloud nine.
Lane Hart and DB West are the authors that I'm talking about.
Their writing completes each other and you can feel it all with just a few words.
Ruger is their latest release and it's from the Savage Kings, Virginia chapter.
This book explores the lives of Ruger and Thane.
Ruger is a special guy. He has a heart bigger than the world and doesn't take shi*** from anyone.
He's used to being because of his peculiar learning skills.
But don't let that fool you, after dropping out of school, he opened his own garage.
He thought that he knew what he loved or wanted but...
Thane is used to living and surviving on his own.
When he joined the Devil Hounds, he knew that he had found his true family.
When he's shot after saving the President's daughter he was put to recover from those injuries at a friend's house.
When these two are confronted with their feelings...
Oh boy, this book was different... It sure was.
And guess what? I freaking loved it...
Superb plot, well written, super engaging, intense, and infuriating...
Jesus... How can someone be so dense? Why can't you see what's right in front of you?
Jesus...
Once I started to read this book I realized it was impossible to stop, because things were happening and I needed to know more.
There were parts of the book that I wanted to slap someone silly, jeez, stubborn much? But then there were others that I wanted Ted to hold them and show what they couldn't see.
The hotness marvel of this book is off the charts and you'll be wise to have a few changes of panties... Just saying.
I love the Savage Kings, love, love and I miss the other characters.
The main characters worked perfectly with each other and you can feel the chemistry they shared.
This book was amazing and that ending...
That ending Lane and DB spiked my curiosity...
Please don't take too long to give me the next book.

4.5 stars! RJ's turn!

Ruger is the fourth installment in the Savage Kings MC, Virginia Chapter and RJ' story. It technically can be read as a standalone, but I would suggest for the reader to look book #1 and the following for a better comprehension of the background and, specially, the Fulton Brothers' dynamics.

Seing the world differently, RJ might not be suited for all the work the club is invold in, but he is a skillful mechanic and a precious member for the Savage Kings. Always sure in his peculiar way, he might get in some trouble but the greatest challenge has yet to come.
Until....

And here it comes a plot done previously, now from RJ's POV and the aftermath of events since Lauren's marriage (Bear's ex-wife) and, particularly, the interrogation.
If you've read book #3, you already felt the mood surrounding Thane and RJ and, even enemies and part of rival clubs, their connection was strong and solidifies in this account.

Thane was more in tune with his orientation, but being oart of a MC with a certain mentality and a loose cannon of a leader, his life has been one of a loyal soldier and bodyguard as well as a reserved man.
RJ never thought he would feel attracted to a man, so it comes as a surprise, some internal resistance and final acceptance.

This is a fantastic MM narrative with the grounds of what this author duo got us used to. I loved their connection and mutual reasurance in a convoluted and discriminating athmosphere as the brutal realms of an MC.

With a great slew of secondary characters and that easy going vibe of the brothers, spouses and members, the tale flows steady and in unison with the ambience, the support, things against and everything in between, their world included.

They made it work and it was swoon-worthy!

I’ve always been an outsider…

Ruger is the third in the Savage Kings MC Virginia chapter. I’ve read Lane Hart and DB West many times, so when this title became available I was thrilled to review the next title in the series.

This was a fun and quick read. Instead of the usual external conflict between MCs, this was more of a quasi-forced-proximity slow burn romance. I truly enjoyed discovering RJ and Thane’s love for one another. They had an incredible journey learning about each other and what makes them happy. It was amazing to witness RJ’s growth as he slowly realized his preferences. Watching him become accepting of himself and his love for Thane was delightful.

Likewise, I was drawn to Thane’s self-confidence. Even though a M/M relationship would be new for Thane, his attraction to RJ was too significant for him to give up on. I appreciated his determination and even his willingness to let RJ decide if they could move beyond their friendship to something more.

This book was a wonderful story of discovery and patience. I was happy to see Ruger and Thane discover their happily-ever-after together. Their journey was filled with tension as each struggled to overcome their pasts, potential prejudices, and learn to trust in each other. I was also elated that the members of both MCs were unfazed by their commitment to each other.

This is the 4th book in the Savage Kings MC Virginia series featuring a beautifully written M/M MC romance about self-esteem, secrets, doubt, fear and acceptance of who you really are between Ruger and Thane. Ruger has always thought that he was straight he likes women so he's really confused when he starts having feelings for a biker from a rival club Thane. Thane has always known who he is that he's gay but he keeps it to himself and stays in the closet because he doesn't think that his club brother's would be so open-minded and understanding. Then while protecting the president's daughter Thane gets shot and he ends up recuperating at the last place that he would have ever expected to be. Ruger is livid when he finds out that Thane is going to be staying at his place not to mention that he's worried about being in such close proximity to the guy he has feelings for. Will anything happen between them? Will they both finally admit their feelings for each other? You really need to read this beautifully written M/M MC romance to see what happens. I would recommend reading this book and I'm looking forward to the next book in this AMAZING series!!.

Ruger Fulton is an awesome brother and hard working mechanic making his way in the world by having fun and doing what his brothers and MC ask of him. His brothers are all finding love and settling down, but as far as RJ is concerned, he is content with his one night stands and no commitment. That is until Thane Montgomery happens to cross paths with him and sets his life and heart into turmoil. When Thane is shot protecting Bear’s girlfriend and the president of the Devil Hounds MC and goes to live in RJ’s house, RJ is forced to be around Thane. Will they admit to their feeling for each other or will RJ deny his feelings since he is afraid to let his family know how he feels? This book is extremely well written, and Jordan steals the show with his wit and humor. I would recommend reading Bear’s book first so that you have the general background since RJ and Thane are intertwined in Bear’s. The Savage Kings MC-Virginia series keeps getting better, and I am looking forward to Isaac’s book!!

Ruger James Fulton (RJ) has never been the brightest of his brothers, which makes it easy to get in trouble. His one skill is his talent for repairing vehicles, he opened his own shop. He never once that he was anything but interested in women until he met a man from Devil Hounds MC, there was something about Thane that excited him.

Thane has never admitted to anyone he was gay expect for the cute blond guy from the Savage Kings MC. He steals his debit card, license and money when crashes the Devil Hounds MC, wedding of the president's daughter.

Like the other Savage Kings MC kings books parts overlap with a different couples' point a view. The pair keep bumping in each other when Rj's brother Bear, and the Devil Hounds MC Prez's daughter start a thing.

At first RJ is hesitant and absolutely sure he is heterosexual as he never found a guy attractive before.

Cannot wait for the next in the series.

RJ is the youngest and one of the 4 brother in the Savage Kings MC. Their rivals are the Devil's Hounds MC. This book opens in the similar fashion to the previous book, Bear. If you have read this, you will know the background to a family connection between Bear, SKMC and Lyla DHMC, and this is how and where RJ and Thane meet.
Thane is gay and openly attracted to RJ, who is confused over his feelings towards a man and coming to terms with his sexuality. Talks with Jordan, his prospect and brother's future step son play a prominent role in their relationship and their talks together.
The characters are endearing, especially RJ who is simple, confused, and at times, naive or ashamed. Their relationship evolves slowly and not without problems and issues, with lateral fears to how their coming out will be received.
It is all well written and described as their individual feelings come to the fore. Each has something to hide, to gain and to lose..

I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC of this book. This is the 4th book in the Savage King's MC: Virginia series. This is an MM book with a HEA romance.
Things have never came easy for Ruger "RJ" Fulton, except cars. He owns a successful repair shop but relies on his brothers to help him with the paperwork side of things. Loving the simple life. He still lives at home and only does one night stands. So, why can't he get the unwanted guest out of his head.
Thane is stuck in the Fulton house while he heals from a gun shot wound. He lost his house when he didn't pay rent because he was in the hospital. His only job was to protect the president's daughter and he couldn't do that. He has disappointed his MC and now they have left him in the home of their rival MC.
I just love a good MM book. Then throw in MC and you know it's going to be an awesome book. These two had so much chemistry from the very beginning. Can't wait for the next book.

I love that all the little curious bits that happened in Bear’s book were fully developed and addressed in this book! The authors truly give you a complete story!

RJ completely melted my heart! I hated how he saw himself, and how he thought others, especially his family, saw him. I just wanted to reach through my Kindle and hug him!

I really liked Thane. He has his own rough past, but he is making the best out of his present. He was there for Lyla when she needed a friend. It hurt my heart when he felt the club and his “brothers” didn’t care about him.

Thane & RJ together were absolute fire! I loved that they both saw the best in each other, and that they were both willing or able to work past some of their boundaries to make things work!

I’m very curious to see how the next book plays out, especially since I didn’t see it coming!.

“I could tell from the look on his face that he was still conflicted…”

I’ve had a soft spot for RJ from the first and I loved seeing him finally find someone to love who sees him for so much more than he sees himself. RJ and Thane were so sweet together and I absolutely think they are perfect for each other. Almost the entire story runs concurrently with Bear’s so it’s best to read it first. I did feel the end was a bit sudden but that’s ok as there will be other books in the series. I really hope enough time passes that eventually Jordan grows up enough that we get his story one day. He’s become one of the most interesting characters in the series and I’d love to see what happens with him. I’ll admit, finding out the next book is about Isaac and Lyla’s bff, Holly was a real surprise but then I remembered a scene in Bear where I wondered for a moment if there wasn’t a spark of something between them so maybe I shouldn’t be. Can’t wait to see what happens next.

The book was well-written and had genuine emotion and connection. The MC’s had a deep connection and their chemistry was strong and passionate. The characters were well-developed, likable, and relatable. Ruger had issues with his self-worth and not as confident as he should have been. Thane was self-assured and almost too full of himself, and was living for years in the closet. I like how they were opposites , one dealing with confidence issues and the other with too much confidence, but as they came together and their relationship grew, they really balanced out the other and became better versions of the men they were. This is the fourth book in the Savage Kings MC-Virginia series and while you can read this book as a standalone, I highly recommend reading them in order, as there are some great past characters in this book.

I loved this book! I highly recommend reading the book before this in the series, "Bear". A lot of the timeline is the same, only you get a different context of several events that happened in that book.

From Bear's book, you kinda got the idea that something may have been going on with Ruger (aka RJ) and Thane. There were more questions than answers in that book that were finally answered in RJ's book.

I liked how their characters developed with the knowledge of who they are and the secret that they are hiding. Have to mention Jordan, as he played a big part in getting these two together.

Of course, the ending has so much potential about what may come next. Can't wait to see what is in store for the Savage Kings.

RJ might not be good at the MC club but he's a skilled mechanic and a awesome member of the Savage Kings. Thane is a secret closet gay and is a member of the Devil Hounds MC. RJ is confused after meeting Thane because of the feeling he has for him. I love the way the writer tells the story of RJ and Thane. Love and attraction have no boundaries and that's what both find with each other but can it lead to love. Thane knew that when he meet RJ that he was the one for him. Taking the journey with RJ and Thane was so beautiful. They fight for each other and what they want for each other, love and loyalty. I am not much of a fan of M/M but the authors did such a great job with the story that I'm glad I read it. Can't wait to read the next book in this series.

Thane being gay yet in the closest with the rest of his MC finally sees someone who has his heart racing yet doesn't think he will ever have to see again. Ruger being a ladies man has the shock of his life when he comes face to face with Thane and his body reacts in a way it never has for any female, yet Thane is no female and Ruger isn't sure how to navigate his growing feelings.

Tossing his salad..oh my word I'm glad I swallowed my cuppa before I read RJs response. The poor guy he really is intellectually challenged as things just go over his head or he just doesn't understand the word..it makes him so much more endearing not even the fact that he seems to think he isn't into guys makes me feel as sorry for him.
This book was so so good I just want more and totally picked what was going to happen with Holly so I can't wait for the next book.

Man oh man what a spectacular five-star read. This is number four in the savage kings MC Virginia series, and I would recommend you read them in order to get the best overall experience as they just flow into each other and build the most spectacular picture. When RJ tells us his own story, he often sees himself as less than, he has been a little slower than the others, and perhaps that’s why it takes him so long to realise that it doesn’t matter who you love, as long as you love them, and they love you back. Watching RJ and Thane come together and fight for each other will surprise you and keep you hooked all the way through. I know not everyone is a fan of M/M but this is so well done you would be sad to miss it.

Wrong attraction? 4 ½ stars. - RJ’s story is happening parallel to Bear’s story so you definitely want to read Bear’s book first. However, RJ and Thane were unlikely to happen because RJ is straight… right? Add in the fact that they are from different MCs who don't like each other. What this book is trying to impart is that attraction and love will give you curveballs. Your reaction to different genders may be pre-programmed so it takes a lot of soul searching to know what you really need. What you think of as wrong attraction may really be who you’re meant to be with. Whether RJ realizes that in time will determine if the steamy encounters continue. Where You Least Expect It

This was soooo good! We got glimpses & hints of RJ & Thane’s story in book 3, and I was so happy to finally get to see what was really going on there. These two didn’t disappoint me. I never expected RJ ‘s story to go like this when I met him in previous books, but he & I both realized that Thane was perfect for him. I really liked Thane in the last book, so I was all for RJ falling for him, and after reading this book, he got even better on so many levels. This book has everything you could want…action, spice, humor, and an emotional roller coaster you won’t want to get off of. I literally can not wait for the next book in this series! Love the world of the Savage Kings ❤️

Ruger was everything I had hoped it would be. My one issue is his betrayal as being dumb. I know that was supposed to make him seem more endearing, but it seems that lately, many of the MC men in these talented author's stories are shown as being stupid or dumb. Can't a guy be gorgeous and smart as well? Thane was lucky to meet RJ and as it happens in most love stories, when you meet "the one" you know even when your head might tell you something else. I love the Savage Kings MS stories and hope they go on and on forever.

I received What a fun read. Thia is the fourth book in the Savage Kings MC - Virginia series

After only meeting Thane once, Ruger James is so confused about the sexy man that patted him down at the president daughter's wedding.  Why is he feeling this why about this man, when he has only ever been interested in woman.

This wonderful book follows the journey of love and acceptance of  RJ and Thane's story

I would highly recommend reading this book, it has a few steamy and sweet scenes. It is a steamy page turner.

Ruger is the fourth book in the Savage Kings MC-Virginia series. You have to love a group of brothers who are named after guns. Ruger, being the youngest, has had the most difficult time growing up, and sadly, his self-esteem suffered. This is Ruger's POV from Bear's story and has some surprising twists. The drama is real, as the action from the last book hits us again in this storyline. With a romance story that is witty, dramatic, and realistic, Ruger is a page-turner. Despite the familiar storyline, the added perspective makes this an entertaining and engaging story.

This story runs concurrent with Bear. RJ has a whole new obstacle in his path when he starts reacting to Thane. After twenty-four years of thinking he was straight, it makes him very confused. Thane is also mostly in the closet, making things complicated for both of them. I love Jordan. He does so much for them. RJ and Thane have some bad communications going on for a lot of the book. Both are holding back since they are supposed to be temporary. I loved Isaac at the end of this. He could not have been better. All the brothers were great. I can’t wait for Isaac’s story next.

I loved Ruger Book 4 of Savage Kings MC - Virginia. No matter what happens when he’s around Thane, Ruger isn’t gay. He likes woke but why can’t he get Thane out of his mind? Thane is gay but no one knows, not even his MC brothers. But being around RJ makes him willing to take risks. Unfortunately, RJ isn’t ready fie the feelings and emotions he’s having. This was a great story. It had love and suspense, when someone is trying to kidnap RJ’s brothers girl. I really enjoyed this storyline and I would definitely recommend this book and the series.

Another great book in this series. This involves the discovery and acceptance of Ruger’s sexuality (by him!). When Ruger (a Savage King) meets Thane (Devil Hounds) his body start reacting and Ruger is not sure what to think. With the help of his probate and a little encouragement from Thane, Ruger just might find the one for him.

Drama, action, passion, revelations, patience, trauma, acceptance, and attraction are plenty in the 4th book in this series. I loved the way the authors approached the relationship between Thane and Ruger – 2 young men figuring out what they want in life. One unexpected guest leads to some serious changes

Ruger is the fourth book in the Savage Kings MC - Virginia series. I will start by stating that MM romance is not really my thing. But as I like the author's series and the way this one is going I thought I would pick up Ruger and see what his and Thane's story is. After all they are two big bikers living in the MC world. Ruger melts your heart as he deals with his learning disabilities in the world around him. His safe haven and how he thinks of himself are all tied up until Thane walks into his life.....then things get really interesting.

As a loyal reader of Hart and West books, I was surprised with the content of this one. MM stories are not usually my cup of tea. With that being said, this story line was well written with great character development. Ruger is fighting his urges through most of the book. Thane and Ruger were not the typical couple. Then add Jordan in as the all knowing and wise secondary character. I enjoyed this book and am looking forward to Book 5 Isaac.
