With a kingdom at stake, it’s all or nothing for Rapunzel and her renegades.
Rapunzel spent her life as a willing prisoner locked inside a tower. Protected by magic and guarded by a witch, she believed Happily Ever Afters are the stuff of fables. Until Wren Kincaid found her and opened her eyes to a world of possibilities...
But he’s no Prince Charming. And she’s no ordinary girl.
Rapunzel never wanted this war with her father, but he’s tearing Rygard apart to find her. Unfortunately, she’s learned that people rarely choose their battles—only how bloody they’re willing to get for victory.
She won’t face this fight alone. Her renegades stand with her. Three men who love her and who have vowed to protect her no matter the cost.
* THE GRIM TOWER is a reimagining of RAPUNZEL . Characters are appropriately aged up for this dark fantasy romance. This is a scorching Why Choose, friends-to-enemies/enemies-to-lovers with morally gray antiheroes. This book is a special edition omnibus of TWISTED and TWINED and will only be available for a limited time.
Renee has always loved villains more than heroes, and although ‘spooky season’ is her time to shine, she enjoys lazy summer days spent poolside listening to podcasts. When not dreaming up ways to torment the characters who inhabit her mind, she’s a working mom who lives near the infamous Jersey Shore.
Looks like I'm in my fairytale retelling era right now 😎 I always loved Rapunzel. Give me Rapunzel with THREE men and yeah 🥵 No Prince Charming here. But three 🔥 protective bad boys 😁 I love all three, and all three are special. They are all broken, but Wren is definitely my favorite. I wouldn't say he suffered the most, but I just feel his pain the most. Maybe because the start of the book is his POV for a long while. His story is told the most. He got betrayed the most. Even though Quinn has a VERY dramatic past, too.
There is so much in this story. So much in the characters. It's just not possible to explain it. Or at least, it's not for me... 😎
This book is dark and it has ☠️ and everything, but it doesn't feel that dark for me 🙈 Maybe I'm getting numb about darkness 🤣🙈
Because it's a duet, of course, it has no ending. It's no real cliffhanger, but I do need to jump into book 2 instantly 🤩
Book 2: Twined 4.5⭐|3🌶|17%🌶frequency
This is book 2 of a duet, and you have to read book 1 first.
What a journey... 😱 This book definitely got all the action. Not that book 1 didn't have any, but this one has more. All the 🗡️ and 🩸🙈 Especally at the end 😱 And still so much love and everything else 🩷 It's not that I didn't expect most of it, but still there were things I was surprised about 😁
I already said I loved all three of the men, but Wren is my favorite. Not alone because I love grumpy heroes. I love golden retrievers too, so of course I loved Dax 😁 And Quinn? He is different. He is soulless 😞 He isn't a bad person, on the contrary. He still has his heart, and that's VERY big. But he is also darker than the other two.
I don't know what to say more 🙈 I just loved the whole story, and I loved the end. It's so cute 🩷
I know there is another fairytale retelling on the go, and I'm looking forward to reading that one too 🤩 It's an Alice in Wonderland retelling.
The Grim Tower Duet – Renee Rocco „The Grim Tower Duet” przyszedł mi. Wramach subskrypcji z Romance Cartel.
„The Grim Tower Duet” to tak naprawdę dwie książki w jednej – „Twisted” i „Twined”.
