How can she provide for herself, never mind her niece Juniper, if she has nowhere for them to live?
Summer is winding down, and Toni's no closer to finding a new home for herself and her niece than she was when she first got that gut punch of an eviction notice. When Gran points her to a safe haven that could be the perfect place for her market garden, she thinks it's a Godsend. But then trouble comes knocking the moment she gets her hands in the dirt...
Silas built this little home in the redwoods to be closer to his uncle, and he isn't so sure that he wants to give it up. But Toni needs this place a lot more than he needs a vacation home, and her aging landlord needs someone who can be there all the time.
Is there room for all of them in this sunny mountain meadow, or will Toni have to uproot her little family once again?

Took a little reading hiatus as this last week was a busy one! Finally was able to finish Redwood Meadow, the second book of the series, and I am just loving the series. It’s fun that the setting is in the bay here in Northern California, but more so I’ve enjoyed getting to know the characters more, and seeing how the author has subtly connected their stories altogether. At one point they seemed to be strangers but the connections in the small town have slowly been bringing them altogether. This one focused more on Toni’s story. Looking forward to the next one.
This series sucks you right in. I almost wish I had waited till more of the books had been released. I tried to read the first 2 slowly to make them last longer but I was completely unsuccessful. Wonderful cast of characters.
I rarely continue through all the books within a series because they tend to tell the same story but with different characters. Not this series! Reading these Redwood books feels like rocking on the front porch sipping lemonade while your mom tells you about all the interesting people she grew up with. The style, tone, and voice are all perfect for this snuggly story! Fall in love with the people of Redwood!
Not my normal genre but I've grown to like Christine after discovering her through Denise Grover Swank. I love the weaving of characters and places from other series. It's like you already know someone when you start. We've gotten to know everyone and watched the development. I love gran and Gene in this one.
