Not one of the better Jason Drake books. It might be a good idea to read a synopsis of the last book as this one jumps right in assuming the reader knows or remembers what happened last.

Sierra is off to Italy alone, Jason is on assignment in Amsterdam to take pictures only - yeah right.
There is a second team there following weapons and of course Jason can't seem to stick in his picture taking lane. He travels from Amsterdam to Sudan following the sale of the weapons but always seems to be a bit late. The US embassy is leveled, Jason is in jail and Sierra is missing.

A cliffhanger to get you to read the next installment.

Big plot started in previous books continues and Jason is dealing with it although he would have preferred to be not involved.
There are some situations just announced and suddenly being over in the next page with no more details about it; a man who is supporting bad guys because his daughter was kidnapped, helped Jason and, after that, he is moving with him to get her back....next page Jason is informing he was delayed because he was helping that guy and I don't that.

Another entertaining Jason drake novel (book 6).

Another fast enjoyable read in the Drake continuing saga. It's a quick plot with enough vignettes to keep the reader rapt until the end. The only distraction is the numerous grammatical and syntax errors which are common to reliance on AI assist in writing without adequate proof reading. Still I look forward to continuing the series.

Good Thriller But

The biggest problem with this book is the reader doesn’t feel anything for lead character Drake. It’s spy by the numbers without evoking empathy for his plight. There are action scenes and some good twists, but also an escape that is too easy. Sets up a cliffhanger for the next in the series.

I could get more intrigue from a comic book. This author has bad dreams and tries to squeeze all of them into a never ending story with no continuity. I’ve been wanting to read the reconnect with Jason’s daughter; I labored thru 3-books hoping to get there. Now I find book 8 isn’t even published yet. I may not make it there in September.

Good character development with a common thread of a plot.

I especially admired Jamal's character. I felt his pain & frustration but was pleased with Jason's caring enough to help him !!

Lots of components and they all work.

This was a fast paced story with solid twists and turns. Life in the Sudan and Taiwan makes the craziness in the US look calm. I love all the a special forces guys as they always find a way out of tough situations and do it with humor. Well done.

The story line keeps you coming back, but the typos and grammatical errors at times makes the story confusing as to which character is speaking. Plot line is still good, though.
