No one said being Sacramento’s only paranormal P.I. was going to be easy.

Face your fears. It’s such a tired cliché. Yet that’s what August Watson must do if he is to survive.

His self-appointed nemesis, a ghost of a man called Daniel Quinn, has taken Glacia and August must play Quinn’s deadly games if he is to stand any chance of getting her back.

On the run from the police, forced to do it all alone, August must face his greatest nightmares. He will triumph or he will die. But if he dies, it won’t be only his life that is forfeit.

Out of options, out of time, the rage within might keep him alive, but will it also consume him?

Whew, this one took all kinds of turns!! This is the darkest in the Blue Moon Investigation series and finally the Quaid story line is resolved. There’s betrayals, shocking betrayals, mind blowing revelations, and the members of Blue Moon will have to fight to survive the next few days.

Honestly wowed at this . Excellent! Couldn’t put the book down. Thrilling, gripping, funny , sad . Heart pumping terrifying but still with the humour . So many things happening at once a great team of characters as always with the Bluemoon Sacramento team and their friends. Joining fights against their enemies and solving the Mysterious and bizarre ( and that’s just Fred’s eating habits)

I was given an arc of this book and my review is in my own words and voluntary

Familiar territory, Sacramento
The gates of hell seem to have opened up and swallowed everyone within it's grasp! This fast moving story leaves the reader on the edge of their seat the entire time! So many different scenarios! So many ways this story moves from one scene to the next, left me breathless! It's been ages since a good story has carried me straight through the ride holding my breath the entire way! Excellent writing!

This is the fifth book of the Blue Moon Investigations Sacramento. Once again August and his friends tackle terrible odds to succeed. August meets his nemesis Daniel Quinn and finally triumphs.

Alina is kidnapped and joins with other children in a fight to beat the minotaur.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book.

Dark and touching, glad i read it

I had given up in this series and am glad broke down and read this installment. With more mysteries that appear to be supernatural, all the characters are given time to find themselves. There is some humor sprinkled throughout and surprising developments that make the story flow.

monsters

This was a great read, both Alex and Steve , well done , not only the mystery of Quinn and tests, the whole physiological aspect, of the the things we are most afraid and manifesting of the “monster “ in our minds. Great read, love Alina, Fred Maya and August…. Keep on writing you two… you keep me up at night reading the hours away.

Great story.

The story was great, the action was satisfying. It is nice to see the monsters, both physical and psychological, overcome. However, the book comes off as written quickly and without proper editing. The many grammar, typos, and sentence structure mistakes are very distracting and sometimes make the reading difficult.

There is a lot going on in this story. Both August and Alina are in trouble, but with different bad guys and sub plots. Interesting and complicated, and twists and bad cops and Wow. Really hard to put the book down

A good story

Where are all the terrors coming from. A man with a deranged mind is creating horror for people to get his jollies. August, Maya and Alina fight their demons and nab the bad guys.

Crazy Story!

This story took some very crazy turns that left you wondering what our team was doing. Several times I thought really bad decisions would take wrong turns. Crazy ending for sure!!

Story good, editing worse than terrible

I can put up with editing errors, but this went beyond my tolerance level. When editing errors cause the reader to need to go back and reread a section to understand the intent - it is just too much.

Nope, no way. I'll follow Tempest in the UK, but this Sacramento
Team I dont want to read any more of.
I'll try the Boston gang next. Hope it's not as gory as the West coast. Really disappointed.

A scary, breath-taking adventure filled with spirited, defiant, cunning, and just plain terrifying characters. You have it all right here in one all-encompassing novel. Highly Recommended.

Good Read

Great imagination, good story, complex with twists & turns. Still getting used to the "franchise" in Sacramento. I think I'll love it though.

Difficult to follow

I found this book difficult to read, unlike others in the series. Too many timelines, too much moving between them.

Great story, but so many typos

The typos and other mistakes interrupted the flow of the story. I hope it will get fixed because the story itself is a good one.

These books are too dark for me and giving me too much anxiety. I'm not finishing this book or the rest of the series.
