There is one person responsible for Brynn Danforth's descent into drug addiction and sex work. Renzo Marchetti.
Brynn believed in love at first sight. The maid's daughter spotted the son of the house from her perch high up in a tree when she was only fourteen years old.
From that moment on, every summer, she would watch Renzo, alone and in love.
Until he notices the little bird spying from her branch. And he reciprocated her interest.
But, sweet and innocent daughters of the help don't end up happily ever after married to the sons of Mafia dons. And Brynn is about to learn that lesson the hard way.

This author makes you enamored of the main characters so quickly, with so much less effort than others. She gets done in 100 pages, things that take others 3x the amount.
This story in particular will have you feeling all the hurt, betrayal, deceit that the main characters go through that can only be felt by being truly in love.
With that, it makes it a wonderful HEA, despite all of the heartbreak to get there.
