This oozed with chemistry between Phoebe and Chad! These characters were addicted to each other despite everything against them. The smut was delightful. This was a very nicely spiced book, y'all!
The storyline was interesting, and it flowed well. I liked how it ran parallel to Bombshell's storyline too, and we got to see little tidbits of that that we didn't see in the first book.
I really liked the character of Phoebe. She was hardworking, selfless, confident, and fun. Honestly, she deserves the world!
As a curvy girl, I really loved the representation, and Angela does it well! Every book that features a plus sized babe by Angela will put a smile on your face and make you feel better about yourself with the confidence that her characters have, which is what a lot of plus sized heroine books need in my opinion!

I usually love friends-to-lovers but I don't think that's an accurate tag for this novel. They were friendly, sure, but it didn't have that solid friendship foundation that I'm used to. This couple was more like Friends with Benefits than anything else.
Romantically, they were a disappointment. Phoebe was pretty desperate for Chad and it showed, always asking him if she's his type, offering oral sex, always telling him how good looking and gorgeous he is etc. It was cringy to read.
For his part, I hated that Chad was too weak to stick up for Phoebe and defend her against Brynn, the mean girl who wanted him. Rather than say tell her he wasn't interested, he was able to watch the cruel way she treated Phoebe, the girl he supposedly had feelings for.
The worst part was that Phoebe didn't even notice how poorly she was being treated by him, which tells me how poor her self esteem is. I found it really hard to root for them because of it.

I volunteered to read this ARC for an honest review. I enjoyed this story about Phoebe and Chad. She's a young woman whom her mother keeps setting up in blind dates only to hate them. Chad works with Lola as a radio host. Phoebe's their partner in the studio. When on a weeks vacation in Grand Turk, changes their friendship. But because of his past he's afraid to love. Phoebe tries her hardest to make him see he's worth it.

Chad and Phobe are the perfect couple! The chemistry is off the charts. 10/10 a must read! If you love spicy books, this is for you. I love how well they compliment each other. I can see the depth of each of the characters and really appreciate the thought that went into each of them. I also love the connection to Bombshell. Couldn’t put it down!

Well written and developed story. Good plot full of action and emotions flying around. Not always easy ones. Body shaming. Good reality and background that adds to the story. All together an enjoyable read.

I love the confident BBW that is Phoebe is. She appears self conscious but she is not. She has a hot FWB relationship with Chad that leads to much more.

Love the book and story line as it falls right in sync with Bombshell. TY Angela for writing about Chad and Phoebe’s love story. I loved how every chapter begins with a horrible blind date story lol makes me giggle but also sad knowing they’re probably all real!!

I don't know what Angela Parkhurst is putting into these books, but they’ve got me completely hooked! This one follows Phoebe and Chad, and let me tell you, the chemistry between them is absolutely electrifying!
We first meet Chad in the first book of the series—he’s Lola’s co-host on the radio. Phoebe, on the other hand, is Lola’s assistant. These characters already have a solid foundation, but their connection really starts to heat up when they all take a trip to Grand Turk.
That trip changes everything between Phoebe and Chad. The dynamic shifts in such a captivating way, and the tension between them builds to the point where you can practically feel it leap off the page. I loved how their relationship progressed with so much depth and passion. It’s the perfect mix of steamy, emotional, and just the right amount of drama.
Angela Parkhurst has a way of making these characters feel real and their chemistry undeniable. If you’ve read the first book, you know what to expect—if not, prepare to get addicted! I can’t wait to dive into the next book in this series. Trust me, once you start, you won’t be able to stop!
