Dans un futur lointain, l'humanité s'est retranchée dans des villes fortifiées mobiles, les Plantations. Elles sont régulièrement menacées par les Hurleurs. De jeunes pilotes affrontent ces ennemis à bord des Franxx, des robots géants. Hiro ne s'accorde pas avec sa partenaire et échoue à devenir pilote, jusqu'à l'arrivée de Zero Two, une étrange jeune fille avec laquelle il est capable de piloter.

About the author

Also known as 矢吹 健太朗.
He is a Japanese manga artist. His mentor was Takeshi Obata, the illustrator of Death Note, Hikaru no Go and Bakuman.
Yabuki is best known for his series Black Cat which ran from 2000 to 2004 in Weekly Shōnen Jump and later adapted into an anime. Since 2004, he has only been working as illustrator to works written by other authors. Most notably on the series To Love-Ru alongside his former assistant Saki Hasemi.

Początek tomiku piątego pokazuje, że plażowy odpoczynek i epatowanie „cycem” stało się dla młodych bohaterów zaczątkiem dużych zmian. Zaczynają oni dostrzegać tajemnice otaczającego ich świata, zadawać sobie coraz więcej trudnych pytań i poddawać się nieznanym im do tej pory uczuciom. Mieszanka dramatu i komedii nie pozwala jednak zapomnieć o niebezpieczeństwach wykreowanego świata. Gigantyczne Kyoryo tylko czekają na okazję, aby zaatakować ludzi i ostatecznie zmieść ich z powierzchni planety. Dotychczasowe sukcesy grupy na pewno nie pozwalają na lekceważenie wroga. Chwila nieuwagi może skończyć się tragicznie, o czym będą mieli okazję przekonać się czytelnicy piątej odsłony. Kolejny raz twórcy łączą tutaj dramaturgię wydarzeń z widowiskową szybką akcją i „gorącymi” scenami.

Der 5.Band der Serie geht mehr auf die Zwischenmenschlichen Beziehungen der Parasites ein, als die Story richtig voran zutreiben. Es wirkt aber so als würde hier ein Grundstein für Dinge die später wichtig werden und da es trotzdem auch hier und da Action gab hat mir der Band gut gefallen.

In this volume we discovered Goro’s love for Ichigo.
Goro asked for a present for her for Christmas and Hiro did the same thing so Goro did not give it to her until years later (today in this volume)
