‘When elephants marched to war Their mighty trumpets roared’ - Creative creature ideas!
Author/poet Kumar Luv is a man of many interests and talents. His work as writer-for-hire has been published in various Hindi print and e-magazines. He has written other books under a different moniker and also shares his gifts as a poet. EATING FIREFLIES And Other Poems was Kumar’s first book of English poems. Now he adds CREATURES: An Artist’s Book to the joy of reading his poems, enhanced by artistically manipulated color images of each the animals, real and mythical, representing the letters of the alphabet - A to Z. Each creature is present in two parts - a commentary on life and impressions and a poem that illuminates that creature’s point of view!
From bees to goats to unicorns, termites and zebras, each poem and passage ignites imagination. For example, Zebra - ‘Men struggled to tame the white horse/ Their gaze fixed on its pristine coat/ But the horse was not keen on the plan/ And striped himself black in protest/ The men saw the stripes as a flaw/ And set the zebra free to roam.’ This alphabet montage is an artful exploration of the realm of creatures, offering insights and awe alphabetically served.
