Teach Me: A wlw romance

Rate this book
When it comes to relationships, best friends Sam and Delaney couldn’t be more different. Serial monogamist Sam is desperate to settle down, get married, and start a family, but her string of cheating exes have left her heartbroken and insecure about her abilities in the bedroom. Delaney eschews monogamy, and enjoys having multiple partners, casual sex, and being sought after as a Domme.

On a drunken whim, Sam asks her best friend to teach her everything she knows about sex. What could go wrong? They already love each other but want completely different lives, so there’s no way a sexual relationship could be anything but a fun, casual experience. But when Delaney’s relationship with one of her girlfriends, Carla, begins to intensify, she finds herself prioritising Sam and Carla to the exclusion of any other partners, and her relationship dynamics begin to look anything but casual.

Three women, walking different paths, with different wants and desires. Will the experiment be a success, or will it tear all of their relationships apart?

About the author

Jessica Laroux

1 book9 followers
An avid daydreamer, Laroux has always had a story to tell, whether it be an animated recount of actual events, or a wonderous tale of adventure and romance. She creates vibrant, complex characters who feel more like friends than mere words on a page.

Growing up, Laroux devoured every book in her reach, but never truly felt represented by the characters in the stories she loved. In turn, she chooses to portray that representation in her own works, with women-loving-women characters and the exploration of consensual non-monogamy and polyamory.

Women-loving-women shine in Laroux's works, often in intense pairings with scorching hot chemistry, or within polyamorous dynamics that smash the love triangle cliché to pieces and beg the question, why can't we love both?

When she isn't writing, Laroux enjoys being outdoors under the Australian sun, taking her dogs to the beach, and spending time with her favourite people.

I have read quite a few polyamorous stories and sapphic stories but nothing has compared to this one. This story is beautifully written. It had me hooked from the beginning and the drama was realistic. Loved that the changes in POV weren’t redundant and added to the progression. Highly recommend giving this a read.

I do like the spice but i missed some plot elements. I felt like it was only spice. The break up was predictable but overal the book was fine.
