My heat is early.

After embracing the life of an independent omega and refusing all matches, I'm running low on options.
But a chance encounter with a delicious smelling omega sets the wheel of fate in motion and there's no stopping it. Not even the fact that he's an omega just like me, or that he already has a pack.

What’s an independent omega to do?

The world will never accept two omegas together... but maybe, just maybe, he wouldn’t mind helping me out a little…
Or a lot.

If you love omegaverse and are looking for something short and spicy, look no further! This novella was just that and I freaking loved it, 5 stars no question!

⭐Omegaverse
⭐Instalove
⭐2 omegas
⭐Female alpha
⭐Spicy

Shade isn't sure what she's going to do for this heat, she passed up all of the packs when she was at the omega center in favour of living on her own. She's been using the heat center up until now, but when she meets an omega on her way to work, she's instantly attracted, perfumes, and her heat comes early. What will she do?

I only have one complaint about this novella and that is that I want more of Shade, Gabriel, and the pack.

I really love Moore's omegaverse and the only reason this one didn't get 5 stars is that I wanted more! Having a complete, happy pack so quickly adopt another omega would have been much easier to believe if we had a bit more information about the established pack- how long have they been together? Have they ever felt incomplete? What about them makes them so open to another pack member, especially the taboo of adding a second omega?

This was so sweet!! My only complaint it I want more!! I really do wish it were longer and I want so much more from the characters. But I am so happy we got a glimpse into Gabriel’s HEA with an omega of his own. It was so good and spicy 🥵. I enjoyed it so much, but I feel like to really appreciate it you should read Switch Heat. It is by no means required but if you haven’t read it you definitely should 😉🥰🥰

LOVED IT!!!! Such a good short smutty read!!!! This is set in the same world as Switch Heater and follows Gabriel (one of Ripley’s besties) and his pack as they help Shade, and omega, through her heat! It was so fun to see all of them interact and I’m hoping we’ll get a follow up story because I need to know what happens next!

Gabriel

Loved him in Ripley’s book. I’m so glad he got what he wanted. Super short but hot and smexy book. I wish it was longer.

I mean… it’s a short novella that entirely revolves around our FMC’s heat. So it’s just smut. Page after page after page after page of smut.

How else should I rate this? It’s fine. It’s smut.

good

This was a good short read. Basically all sex, d don’t expect plot from this. But you get a look into a pack we first meet in Switch Heater.

Real review 4.5.
Um. . . This was everything I wanted out of a short smutty omegaverse book.
🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️+50/5 smut
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟/5 characters
🌟🌟🌟/5 plot
🌟🌟🌟/5 writing

Smut: I just need to take a second to process the smut. Just. . . Bravo, bravo. I blushed (in the best possible way) so many times while reading this. One thing that really resonated with me was how diverse the characters are. It made the smut come alive knowing that despite how incredibly attractive the characters are - they could be literally anyone.

Characters: I thoroughly enjoyed these characters. They were funny and relatable. I want to hang out with these guys! Because this book is so short you don't get to spend much time with them but. . . It's a smutty novella. Anybody asking for more needs to look up the definition of both.

Plot: The plot was cute. Because the book is so short, I don't think it'd be fair to judge it harshly. If Moore had added more plot, then it'd be longer (wouldn't be much of a novella) or there wouldn't be as many spicy scenes. The plot served its purpose, it wasn't outlandish or ridiculous. I think Moore put just the right amount of effort into it.

Writing: The writing was done well. It wasn't anything spectacular, but it got the job done. I knew what was going on, I knew where we were in the story. The scenes Moore wrote allowed me to have a vivid image as to what was happening to who, when, and where. Compared to some of the TikTok books I've read, I believe this was done very well.

Overall if you're looking for an impactful, groundbreaking, emotional rollercoaster then this is NOT for you. but if you're looking for a short, VERY spicy, at times charming read. Then oh yes, come on down! This novella gets a round of applause from me. I have reread it three times now and I plan to keep rereading it.

A short and spicy Omegaverse story, but I loved it. I have read Switch Heater, therefore I knew Gabriel and his alphas a little. I liked Gabriel, but because he already had a pack, I didn't think he would get his own little story. And Shade fit so well with him and the alphas. I just hoped there would be a bonding scene in the end… But unfortunately no.

Funnily, I rated this novella higher than Switch Heater. The novella has some of the same “mistakes”, which made me give Switch Heater 4 stars, but the difference lies therein, that Switch Heater was a full length book and this is a short story. The lack of details is more forgivable, then, because with a short length comes a compact plot and character build. And even though it's a short story, it is impressive how K.L. Moore makes it still cute, believable in the emotion area like the characters forming connections between each other, while it is heavily on fixtured on the steamy times.

So, if it makes sense, the things that made Switch Heater a little lacking for me, made the novella stand out to me. Or fit the purpose more? Nevertheless, I loved the experience and hopefully, there will be another bonus someday. Maybe a second little novella with a bonding scene? I wouldn't be opposed to that.

Shade isn’t exactly thriving in the whole “independent omega” lifestyle. She passed on packs at the Omega Center and has been relying on the heat center to get through her cycles. But when a chance encounter with another omega on her way to work leaves her instantly drawn in by scent and sparks, her carefully laid plans go up in flames, literally, because her heat comes early. Cue panic, pheromones, and some very messy decisions.

This novella is short, bingeable, and oh-so-spicy. The setup is simple but effective, and the attraction between Shade and her new connection is instant and feral in the best way. I loved how it leaned straight into the heat of the moment (pun intended) without dragging out unnecessary drama. It’s sweet, it’s dirty, and it delivers exactly what I want from a cuddleverse novella. My only gripe? I wanted more, at under 100 pages, it feels over just when things are really heating up.

✨ trope checklist:
– omegaverse novella
– heat cycle chaos
– insta-attraction + pheromone pull
– messy, fast-burn spice
– cuddleverse fluff + claws

4⭐️ quick, spicy, and satisfying, even if it left me wishing for a few more chapters.

Created new account so my review is the same:

This was freaking amazing!!! It was so good I was tempted to give a lower score because there isn't enough! I need more, I read this so quick and now it's gone. This is straight up a whole novella of smutty omega goodness so be prepared. The first book Switch heater is a full book so there was time for the characters to fully get to know one another where as this book is wham wham bam thankyou ma'am. It literally starts with Shade going into heat and stumbling into Gabriel's chest so there isn't the whole courting thing going on... there's no time for that. Anyways we are talking omegaverse which means they have a connection off sense, and we all know Gabriel's an absolutely sweetheart from the previous book. K.L Moore I need more of these books, pretty please!

I’ll be yours if you’ll be mine

Wish this was 5x as long! An unexpected heat, a lonely omega, and a second omega and his pack- what more could you want? Whew what a hot, surprisingly sweet combo. Shade is fiercely independent and on her way to work when her heat hits her. At work she runs into Gabriel, literally, and instantly is attracted to his scent. Unfortunately he’s an omega with bond marks meaning he already has his pack. After walking her home to safety, and a few other events Gabriel and his pack help Shade through her heat. It only takes a few days for all of them to get attached and want to keep her. The spice in this is so good and I am obsessed with the dynamics in this pack plus shade! Can’t wait to hopefully get more of their story. *contains FF, MM, all other combos of MMMFF

I mean, it was fine. It’s not really a Valentine’s novella like I was led to believe… it just happens to take place in the month of February. I also had no idea it was a spin off novella from another book, and there were lots of references to that.

Blurb makes it seem like omega x Omega pairing are super taboo and frowned upon, but that’s not even close to the case in the actual story. Would have liked to see more struggle with that, like the blurb implied.

Nothing super memorable for me, unfortunately. Seeing a female alpha was interesting, with the lock anatomy instead of the knot. Would have liked to see something with that and a real dick, rather than just her using the strap on every time.

Very abrupt ending.

💘 Scent Matches
💘 Poly Romance

💘 Female Alpha
💘 Male Alphas

A spicy omegaverse novella featuring Gabriel and his pack (Sasha, Rhett, & Jordan) from Switch Heater.

I adored Gabriel in Switch Heater and was sooo excited to get a little sneak peak into his HEA. Despite this being all about Shade's impromptu heat, I liked the glimpses we got of everyone's personalities. I WISH THIS WAS LONGER, but I'll have to settle for what's been written.

If you're looking for a short, sweet, and spicy omegaverse story (a story around and all about an omega's heat), this will do.

Sweet and spicy

Omg I didn't even know Gabriel was going to get his own story but I loved it and I'm so glad it happened , I was hoping in the last book he would get his own omega! Rhett Sasha and Jordan and the sweetest and love that everyone openly were so supportive of Gabe and his feeling to shade. Even with his old crush on riply. Kinda wished it was longer but overall love the story.

In other thoughts I want cozy and Micah to meet and build their own pack with some others 👀 but that's just my hopes and dreams and neeeeddss lol or they get their own stories

We first met Gabriel in Switch Heater, and I loved getting to see more of him and his pack. If you’re looking for a quick, light hearted, sweet, spicy read check this out. There’s instant attraction between omegas Gabriel & Shade and their first time meeting sends Shade into an early heat. With no acceptable alpha’s available to help with her heat, Shade reaches out to Gabriel and his pack for help. Expect a HEA, and I recommend reading Switch Heater first. Both are standalone reads, but characters crossover in both books.

3.5 rounded up. This is quite literally just half spice. You get a little intro, which basically explains that that is all we're going to get from the characters (this time??). Hoping for a full length book about this group because I loved Moore's last full-length omegaverse book and have been needing another.

The dialogue is a bit iffy for me and there is very little plot besides "oh my gosh two omegas like each other?? we never thought it would happen again"

If you want a fast read to put yourself in a mood, def recommend.

Have mercy on my soul—this book left me needing more! Be Mine was a great short read that delivered on all the feels and all the spice. I just wish it had been longer, giving more time for the omegas to find their footing with the Alphas after the heat. This story checked so many boxes for me: a scent-matched pack, love that’s all-in from the start, no unnecessary angst, just pure devotion.

If you love a book where everyone is fully committed and filled with love from page one, Be Mine does not disappoint. Solid 11 out of 5 on the spice meter—this one brought the heat and then some!

I'm not able to pinpoint if the problem here is that this is AI written or if this was written by someone on a full-blown ADHD moment. Either way, the writing was disconnected, there was a lot of repetition every other paragraph and it was all over the place.

Oh, and apparently this story is interconnected with another book, because I spent a whole chapter reading the other's pack HEA and I honestly couldn’t care less about them.

For a really short novella, there was some serious stalling.

Spicy with Omega/Omega but lacking personality

Spoilers.

This one kind of just kind of slides into a heat without any build up. It’s fine for what it is - erotic romance - but in my personal opinion it would be nice to have some build up before the slick comes flying. Keep building anticipation and bring some personality. But it’s a sweet, easy read. Props for including both omega/omega action and a female alpha.

another amazing read.

Ohhh another amazing read!!! I am so hardcore loving this author and her omegas. I was so excited for Gabriel, he just needed an omega to love. And he found one and his pack seems to adore this feisty omega. I so hope we get more of them just this was such a quick and sexy time read. Amazing!

A very quick read that's mostly smut yet still somehow chalk full of feelings and adoration. I read this book without reading book #1 and didn't have much of an issue. I think the only reason I didn't give the book 5 stars is that I didn't like how unfinished the ending was. The author's "The End...for now" just didn't hit right to me as the book feels incomplete.

Sweetverse

I loved this book so much! I'm so glad Gabriel found his omega. I really loved him so much in the first book. I really hope we get more from this pack because I can already tell they will be a fun bunch to really get to know. This author may be new, but with this 2nd book, I've already decided that this will be a one-click author for me! 💜
