The book was ok. The arrangement between Cena and Kas didn't make sense to me. It was avoidable. Honestly, none of The Order's business deals and arrangements made sense. Kas and Jrue love story was cute, but I felt like their attraction was surface level. In the end, I didn't care if they got together or not. Overall, I didn't like nor dislike this series. It just wasn't for me. I simply didn't connect to any of the characters or the story.

I was glad that we didn't have long to wait for the conclusion of this read. But, baby I was not ready for the secrets, lies and revelations that were dug up in this one! That damn Silas was still causing havoc from the grave, and Canaan was hell on earth! Canaan! That man was cold, ruthless and just a dog ass ninja man! Ughhh......🤬 Julius wasn't far behind, and I could see why Kas wanted out! There was so much happening here, that it was almost overwhelming! What I still don't understand is why were these two forced to marry, if the families were going to scheme and cut side deals anyway? There was no loyalty any damn where! The plot twist with Jrue and Cena was interesting considering! I was happy that Kas and Jrue came to an understanding, because they were so good together! Now Yara! I need more of her story! You thought doing all that sneaking, ducking and cheating wouldn't get you caught up? When it did you though you could lie your way out of it? Gurllll..... 👀 Does Nate come back? Or does he go all the way petty, and get her for her money? Tell me something! Whew, the drama! Good read! 👍👍👍

This was an okay ending…
I would have liked to see the father get his karma because he definitely deserved it. Everything worked out and more secrets came out that eventually left a cluster of a mess. I had to stop book 1 until this was released today because I knew I would want to know the ending 🤣🤣🤣. Jrue and Kas were made for each other even though he withheld things. The plot twist within this book were great as well! I don’t know why Yara would be mad at anyone but herself because she was dead wrong on all levels.

Not sure how I feel
Although the story picked up where it left off, I just think some areas of exploration in the story were missed. The family BS was more backbiting, plotting, and deceptive acts. Kas was cool and all, but he wasn't all that. And Cannan. Shaking my head. Maybe the twin's part was the plot twist, but what happened to the sibling that did not match and the mother who wasn't the mother? This conclusion left me with questions still.

Loved it
This book picked up right where part one left off. I'm glad things worked out the way they did for Kas and Jhrue. I didn't care for Yara because of what she tried to do to Nate, and not taking responsibility for her actions.
Once the plot twist came, I had a feeling it was going to turn out that way.
I would recommend this series.

Chaotic book review incoming.. Ms. Hall did her all caps REAL BIG one with this! There were bombs dropping every other page and I stayed on the edge of my seat. Nobody was to be trusted, not the parents, the siblings, absolutely nobody. The battle for money, power, respect was hot with this crew!
Picture it.. Shootouts at the club and the funerals. Secret arranged marriages. Baby swapping. You unwittingly marry the love of your life’s twin 🤯 then continuously tell this girl “I don’t care if I’m married you’re not breaking up with me again.” It was all mess all the time honey and it was amazing.
Everyone was intertwined, had a new back door dealing everytime you turn around. It was impossible to figure out what was coming next! I feel like I’m telling yall a lot but also giving you nothing at all because I have so many feelings about this duet!! I honestly don’t know what could possibly top this for the rest of the month. It’s a MUST read!!!

Couldn’t wait to jump back into this one. Jrue is still trying to get over Kasim after finding out he is getting married. Kasim is trying to keep Jrue in his life while still filling his family obligations. Part 2 of this series opened up even more questions. Still dealing with arranged marriages, secret babies, secret lovers, and a baby swap. I loved Kasim and Jrue’s characters. Surprisingly I ended up liking Cena. She rubbed me the wrong way in the first part. K.L. Hall provided plot twist after plot twists that kept me thoroughly engaged. Woke up and started reading this immediately. I Couldn’t put my kindle down.

This is all I wanted for Kasim and Jrue to end up together ❤️ I absolutely loved them. Kas was not giving up on having Jrue in his life no matter what the families wanted.
I didn’t really care for Yara in book one and this one my feelings were no different she was selfish and reckless. It’s bad enough she was cheating but to get knocked up and then turn around and deceive the man who truly loved her. I don’t blame Nate for walking away.
I really liked Cena and so glad she had Kas on her side as an alliance. Cannan was power and money hungry and look where that got him.
That DNA twist was crazy. Whew this was an overall amazing finale to a great beginning.

I just couldn’t get into the story and it took me forever to finish. The reason why Kas had to marry Cena was dumb. What was The Order thinking or even Julius once Cena father Silas McQueen died The Order could have just annex McQueen’s territory or whatever he had to offer because he was sooooo far indebted to those in The Order. The whole story line was stupid. As far as what Julius was holding over Silis McQueen basically could have been taken to the The Order and resolved then end of unnecessary arranged marriages. Even the side stories were dull all the other characters not even worth mentioning 👎🏾

JRUE AND KASIM
I loved how Jrue and Kasim's story came together. Things weren't what they seemed to Jrue when it came to Kasim and Cena. But I was glad that the truth was explained and actually brought Jrue and Cena closer after a family secret was revealed. Canaan was definitely a loose canon and got what he deserved. Cena can now live in peace with Liam and resume her position with The Order. Kasim finally gets the woman he longed for and a life free to be the business man he wants to be. This was a great conclusion to story illed with, lies, greed, deceit and secrets.

Great Ending
A great ending of a well written story. The drama was crazy and greed was the motive. It caused a death, an unnecessary marriage, and the end of a a family. The old men of the Order need to retire and let the young folks take over. This author delivered another five star read. With likeable, interesting characters. I definitely can't wait to see what this author brings next.

I thought part 1 was good, but part 2 completely had me reeled in. At first, I didn’t know I liked Kasim, but after reading this finale, I absolutely loved him. There were so many secrets my gawd.
This was a great way to wrap up this story.
I was rooting for Kas & Jrue real bad. Kas gave up everything if it meant being happy with his true love. Also why didn’t Kas walk away from the operation before the marriage if he was going to do it anyways 🤔
Cena deserved her HEA. A boss that snatched her throne back.
Yara was a terrible person & karma got her. She didn’t deserve Nate. Canaan got what he deserved.

The drama!
About a chapter in, I knew where the story was going, but it still was an enjoyable read. Im really happy that this was wrapped up in 2 parts, even though, it would have been better as one book...but I get it (from an algorithm and sales perspective). Overall, the story was full of drama and has a satisfying ending.

Love love love everything about Jrue and Kasim!! Although he messed up, he did everything in his power win his lady back. Would’ve loved more about Kamil and Janessa; but I’m glad that Canaan got what he had coming to him and Cena got her happy ever after as well! Job well done

I loved the conclusion of Jrue and Kas' story, "Crushed Velvet and Cashmere 2." Kas was able to convince Jrue that he and Cena were marrying only for business reasons. Canaan was a loose cannon, evil to the core, but his demise was a bit anticlimactic. That devil got off too easy! And so did Kas' father! The book still gets five stars!

Jrue was dealing with her own family drama and Kas was dealing with his! Jrue shut out Kas as her heart was in a war with her brain! Her BFF was in the middle of her own disaster that involved 2 other individuals! Kas was determined to get his woman back at all costs! A great read!

Yes! Love Wins
Finally finished….Kas was not about to lose Jrue, she was his world. There were so many twists and turns that it was hard to keep up. But the best one was finding out you have a twin! The web people weave and using others like chess pieces. So glad love won for them.

Kas was no joke and Cena didn't play either, Canaan was crazy and he thought he could bully everyone... Not I love the way Kas was determined to have Jrue no matter what and Cena was going to get her rightful place back at all cost, I hate Yara didn't tell Nate the truth they might have made it. In the end everyone had who they were supposed to be with. Great book

A New Favorite
I'm new to this K.L. Hall journey but I can honestly say I love her writing. She can tell a good story. This series might just be my favorite. I loved Jrue and Kas!! Wow. I read book 1 and book 2 in one day that's how good they were. I have to get up for work in a few hours I blame you K.L.

K.L. Hall has skills!
Book 2 was a lot less dramatic, but just as good as book 1. Guess I’m just a fan of Jrue and Kasim. Glad they got their hea in the end. The only questions I had at the end was did Kasim really leave The Order and what happened with his snake ass father.

I truly enjoyed part two and am glad everything worked out. I wasn't expecting the plot twist but it was well worth the read. I started reading after it was first released and finished it the next day.

Loved it!
I got everything I felt like I was missing in part one. Kas' investment in not only Jrue's business but also her identity as a person was admirable. I was hoping Kas would get rid of his snake of a father, but nonetheless, I enjoyed reading.

I Loved these books! I read both in two days. Kas was definitely pressure and I’m glad Jrue didn’t give up on him. I only wish him trifling ass daddy would’ve been held accountable for the stunts he pulled.

Took me for a loop!
Loved the storyline. There were many interesting parts to this book that helped keep me engaged. The only part I didn't like was LIAM being a...cat, but that was also what brought the storyline alone. This was very well written.
