The Bennett Family #4

Crazy Over You

Rate this book
Crazy Over You is the exciting fourth novel in the steamy and addictive Bennett Family Series.

The first rule of business: never mix it with pleasure.

…and never fall in bed with your biggest competitor.

I’ve been in the boardroom long enough to know that some men are just off-limits. As head of marketing for my family’s successful boutique hotel business, I’d never jeopardize our brand’s success for someone like Beckett Taylor. He’s arrogant and cocky. And completely ruthless when it comes to getting his way in business.

But when we’re forced to spend the weekend together at a conference, I find myself unable to resist the fire that has been burning between us. He is, after all, ridiculously sexy. One night, I tell myself. One hot, steamy, forbidden night with a man I find too tempting to resist. What possibly could go wrong?

The problem is, it turns out he may not be the alpha-hole I thought he was- he’s sweet and charming and has a dirty mouth that I can’t seem to get enough of.

I know this isn’t going to end well. Falling for my rival wasn’t part of my plan.

I know that I should walk away before he breaks me into a million tiny pieces. But I’ve never been any good at resisting what I want, and my heart wants him.

A steamy, enemies-to-lovers, forbidden romance, Crazy Over You is the final book in The Bennett Family series.

Jules Bennet is a business woman through and through. Even though some people might think she was handed her position - seeing as her father owns the biggest hotel chain - she wasn't. Jules has worked for her position her entire life, in college and at her father's company. So the fact that she's in charge of the Seaside's Marketing is not something she takes lightly.

There are few things that rattle her in this business, being in control as she is. But Beckett Taylor is high up on the list. A rival in the hotel game, he works for their competitor. With his smugness, his overly cocky confidence and the fact that he seems to like to play dirty when stealing clients, Jules can't stand him.

But when a conference in Miami places them both at the same hotel, in rooms right next to each other, Jules and Beckett are forced to spend more time with each other than either would like. And although there is definitely attraction there, Jules slowly starts to realise that maybe attraction isn't the only thing she's starting to feel for Beckett. But feelings for him are unethical, how could she possible be involved with someone who is their biggest competitor?

My thoughts:
Wow. Lily Miller has a way with words! This book was your everyday, small town, enemies to lovers, contemporary romance. It was such a sweet story. Jules had a lot of trauma from her past relationships and her journey was a rocky one, but Beckett was there for her every step of the way. I loved their relationship, I loved the plot, the writing style. Everything was just perfect. What a wonderful read! 🥰

Thank you Lily Miller and Katie&Brey PA for the advanced ebook of Crazy Over You! These are my honest thoughts.

4.5⭐️

Crazy Over You is the story of Jules Bennett, the youngest Bennett sibling, and Beckett Taylor, an employee for the Bennett Family’s Hotel chain rival. Beckett always came off as cocky and arrogant in the past, but after one conference where Jules and Beckett are rooming next door to each other, Jules starts to see a different side of Beckett.

I really enjoyed this story, it is very much a cute Hallmark-style Rom-Com with spice! This was the perfect cute read to transition into spring! The Bennett Family are all so likable, the relationship between the siblings and their parents was so admirable and I really enjoyed reading it play out more in this book. I also really respected Beckett and what he did for his mom and younger sister, as well as the relationship he has with his step father.

I appreciated that the relationship between Beckett and Jules wasn’t necessarily an instant relationship. It took a little while for Jules to warm up to the idea of a relationship with Beckett, and the effort and attention to detail he puts in for her was beautiful. I really adored this whole story - a million points for no third act breakup!

Can’t wait to read more from Lily Miller! Perfect feel-good, swoony rom-coms with spice!

Jules and Beck heat up the pages in Crazy Over You. Their relationship is hot and steamy, and the banter is fun and sassy. This Story is very cheesy at times, but not a ridiculous cheesy. I definitely felt Hallmark vibes and I really enjoyed the story. This was such a fun, cute story. This would be a perfect beach read, or if you are looking for something light to enjoy.

Title: Crazy Over You

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️/5

I want to start with the pros that I want to highlight though is the writer’s writing style and the way she painted each of the characters. I like that sweet Beckett is a very likable character and how Jules is such an independent woman. I like how Beckett was such a good big brother to his sister. I like how the author portrayed how much both characters are willing to do anything and everything for their family.

This romance novel started off quite rough for me because it didn’t feel like it was an enemies to lovers trope. It felt like it was more of a rivals to lovers. I didn’t feel a lot of tension between the two. Right after the first few chapters, Beckett was already head over heels in love with Jules. I guess it’s just because of my preference - I like my enemies to lovers to have more angst & tension between them. I didn’t want to DNF it though so around the 27% mark I felt like it was getting better. Their sweet moments were so cute and they did have good chemistry between them two. However, after 50% and onwards it unfortunately fell flat (Again, I think it’s mainly because of my preference as a reader.) I just felt like something was missing - I guess that magnetic passion between two enemies that became to lovers felt like it was missing for me.

I still recommend this to those who love small town romance, cheesy and romantic chick flick kinda feels - hallmark-ish. There are hot and steamy sexy scenes involved so that’s a plus. All the dirty talk.🔥🥵 They are both very cute when they’re together and their banters.

All my comments on this book review are honest and all have different preferences. So, I’m still encouraging you to give this cute, sweet romance novel a read. Who knows, it may become your next obsession. 😉

“And then she’s gone. And maybe I’m a little gone too.”

Crazy Over You was not bad by any means. It is a sweet contemporary romance that had me swooning throughout the entirety of it. Lily is a wonderful writer and it isn’t that I disliked this book, but it wasn’t the usual kind of book I read.
This book was so incredibly cheesy, but in the best way. The entire time I was reading it I kept thinking “is this something that exists? Is this something I could have?” That being said, there was pretty much zero drama. Me being the drama queen that I am, I need at least a smidge of it. Yes, there are a couple of little spats at the beginning, but it’s nothing big. Beck had a tiny bit of it in his family, but it wasn’t talked about very much. There wasn’t anything exciting that happened or that really stood out to me.
Beckett and Jules were adorable, and their relationship was basically perfect. They bantered a little bit, but it was never anything too crazy. When they did banter, it was funny and witty. I wish there had been some more of it. Again, I think that me be the drama queen in me speaking. I loved their dynamic with their family and friends. I wish they were involved more in this book. I would have loved to see what happened between two of the characters and I am hoping that they get their own story.
The spice was mild, which is completely fine, but I think if there was more of it and was a little more intense it would slightly make up for the lack of dramatics. I am in no way saying this book was bad. It really was adorable and had me smiling and laughing quite a bit. Crazy Over You just wasn’t the kind of book that I am used to reading, so that plays a big part in it. If you love cheesy books with basically perfect relationships and a HEA, this is definitely the book for you. It was also a nice little break from the dark romance books I have been reading.

She is best described as a live wire and the youngest daughter in a hotel owning family. He is a smart, scrappy, and hungry man who has worked hard to be her rival.

Jules Bennett loves her family and loves her job on marketing for her family run hotel chain business. When she is sent to Miami for a seminar she unfortunately runs into Beckett Taylor, the man who stole a customer from her not that long ago. Determined to keep her distance, she, of course, keeps running into him and embarrassing herself. But when he turns out to be less of an enemy and more of a friend, she is unprepared for how to handle it.

Beckett didn't come from wealth. His family didn't have much growing up which motivates Beckett to work hard for his goals. He happens to be great at his job and is up for a promotion to his dream job in London. The only problem is a beautiful woman who happens to work for (and be related to) his biggest competitor.

After lowering some emotional walls in Miami, nothing comes from it relationship wise. But not long after they return to the town where they both live, they conveniently run into each other. Beckett doesn't hesitate to ask her for a date and her number since he hasn't stopped thinking about her. Jules is extremely attracted to Beckett and the more she gets to know him the more she realizes how wrong she was about him. As they fall for each other, big decisions loom over their future happiness. Can they find a way to be together while accomplishing all their dreams?

Dual POV, enemies to lovers, sex scenes: yes.

This is the conclusion of this series and it was done well. Jules is a fun FMC and you want her to do well. Beckett is book boyfriend material. He falls first and doesn't hesitate to do whatever he can to win his lady. It's sweet and fun with lots of moments with them happy and falling in love. The 3rd quarter conflict was no match for the way these two love each other. Sweet HEA. I loved all the bonus Epilogues. Chef's kiss.

Sweet Enemies to Lovers Forbidden Romance with a dash of Henry Cavill!

Review: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5

Crazy Over You, by Lily Miller @authorlilymiller is the 4th and final book in the standalone Bennett Family Series.

The first rule of business: never mix it with pleasure.
…and never fall in bed with your biggest competitor.
I’ve been in the boardroom long enough to know that some men are off-limits. As head of marketing for my family’s successful boutique hotel business, I’d never jeopardize our brand’s success for Beckett Taylor. He’s arrogant, cocky, and ruthless when it comes to getting his way.
When we’re forced to spend the weekend together at a conference, I find myself unable to resist the fire that has been burning between us. He is ridiculously sexy. One night. One hot, steamy, forbidden night I find too tempting to resist. What could go wrong?
Turns out he may not be the alpha-hole I thought he was- he’s sweet and charming and has a dirty mouth that I can’t get enough of.
I know this isn’t going to end well. Falling for my rival wasn’t part of my plan.
I should walk away. But I’ve never been good at resisting what I want, and my heart wants him.

I LOVED this book! (To be fair I’ve loved the entire series). Jules is this strong, spunky independent woman, which she needs to be as the only female sibling among the Bennett brothers. I’ve been excited for Jules’ story from the start and FINALLY her and Beckett have arrived and they did not disappoint. I could feel the chemistry from the boardroom, which just fueled the tension through hilarious and sexy banter. Plus it was nice to see the softer pieces of Jules’ character.

Lily Miller did a phenomenal job writing and alpha-hole male lead that I couldn’t help but fall for. He’s dominant, but under it all there’s a sweetness you can’t miss that slowly is drawn out of him.

Don’t fret the spice is there and it is swoony, hot, and sensual.

I am so sad this series is over, but the Bennett family will always right there on my bookshelf as a friendly neighbor.

Listen, the first chapter had me side-eyeing Jules like, "Oh no, are you that kind of heroine?" You know the type—grating, trying too hard, and the kind of character that makes you want to skim until they get their act together. But lo and behold, Jules won me over faster than I expected, and by chapter three, I was ready to throw my e-reader at the wall in frustration because Beckett and Jules still hadn’t kissed. Seriously, the tension was that good.

At one point, I caught myself whispering prayers to the literary gods, begging, please let this be spicy and not one of those fade-to-black travesties. Spoiler: the gods delivered, and Beckett and Jules brought the fire.

Their banter? Chef’s—oops, scratch that, banter goals. I was literally cackling like a hyena, much to the annoyance of my husband, who had to listen to me quote lines mid-book. Their chemistry? Ugh, butterflies-on-a-sugar-high kind of good. At 30%, I was telling my husband to zip it so I could mainline this relationship like the drama addict I am.

If you’re here for the sweet, hand-holding romance, let me stop you right now. This isn’t a quaint little stroll; this is a full-on sprint toward love, sarcasm, and, eventually, the steam. And Beckett? Oh, Beckett. That man could banter his way into anyone’s heart.

So, yeah, Jules may have started rocky, but by the end, I was ready to ship these two into a happily-ever-after forever. This book is for anyone who loves sharp wit, sizzling chemistry, and yelling at fictional characters to just kiss already.

I couldn’t put this one down! This is the 4th installment in the Bennett Family series by the lovely @authorlilymiller. This can be read alone or with the rest of the series. I HIGHLY recommend reading them all though. 😉

Jules Bennett is the last single Bennett sibling. She’s ok with that. After having her heart broken after a 2 year relationship, she is very career-driven.

She goes to a work conference and comes face-to-face with the cocky and self-righteous Beckett Taylor.
Beckett works for her family businesses’ biggest competitor and she’s had many run-ins with him. The only problem is… he’s GORGEOUS. She can’t stop thinking about him. She’s not quite sure why. He’s an alpha-hole and a narcissist.
After one night at the conference, Jules sees him in a whole different light. He may not be all that she’s pinned him to be. He may be much more than she’s given him credit for. He’s doing everything he can to prove to her that he’s not the guy she thinks he is.

This can’t possibly end well. Her father and 3 protective big brothers can NOT possibly stand for her thinking the thoughts she’s thinking about her long-standing hotel rival’s VP. Can these enemies turned lovers make it work or will their families work against them? Will their work lives keep them from being together?

✨Enemies-to-Lovers
✨Forbidden Romance
✨Forced Proximity
✨Small-Town Romance
✨Dual POV
✨Interconnected series, can be read as stand-alone

This is the last book in a series of 4 of The Bennett Family series. Available for pre-order and on KU on April 4th!

My review:

Jules is an independent, intelligent young woman who works for her family’s hotel chain. She has worked very hard to get where she is at in her role as Seaside’s marketing. She takes this role seriously and won’t let anything deter her from that.

Beckett works for Jules family’s competition and is very well know for his cocky attitude and his sense of humor.

Jules and Beckett clash heads constantly. Jules can’t stand his smugness and his ability to steal clients from her.

When the two of them are at the same conference in Miami and their hotel rooms are right next to one another, they will be put to the test to try to not kill each other.

During their time at the conference they are forced to spend time together which then leads to feelings being discovered and perhaps maybe Jules doesn’t dispense Beckett after all, but can they truly be together when they are each others biggest competitors?

I truly loved this book and it was a proper send off to the Bennet Series! I absolutely adored Jules and Beckett’s banter between each other. Beckett was a true gentleman and such a cinnamon roll. He loves Jules and would do anything for her. I loved Jules growth throughout this book. She was able to put her feelings for work aside and begin to appreciate and love Beckett for all that he is.

This was my first Lily Miller book and I really enjoyed it! This is the last book in the series and it follows Jules Bennett and Beckett Taylor in their love story and I had a blast! I loved the banter between them from the very first page to the last and their whirlwind into love.

The setting was fun and the characters fantastic! I loved how naturally the relationship developed and how fast that they fell in love. I loved how soft Beckett was and how once he decided that Jules was it, the man was in! I loved his relationship with his family and how they fit in with one another.JULES! She holds her own in the Beckett family and it was nice to see how she is a firecracker and just how her relationships with the people around her were fantastic!

This was a sweet and spicy romantic story to read with cameos of past characters and some new ones. This book rounds out what I assume is a good series! I hope to go back and read her brother’s series and their journeys to love.

Catch this amazing book on April 4th on Kindle and Kindle Unlimited!

Crazy Over You by Lily Miller

Thank you to @authorlilymiller and @katieandbreypa for the chance to read this #eARC in exchange for my #honestreview! Crazy Over You is available April 4, preorder your copy now.

Jules Bennett is the PR guru for her family’s incredibly successful hotel chain. She’s excited for a work retreat in Miami when she stumbles into her rival and all around pompous butthead, Beckett Taylor - VP of her hotel’s biggest competitor. But after being forced to spend some time alongside Beckett, and maybe a few too many Mai Tais, she realizes he’s actually kind of charming…and incredibly hot. Will these two become crazy for each other or will they check out before someone gets hurt?

I had no idea until I finished this that it is a part of a series - the other three are officially on my TBR. I absolutely loved both of the MCs in this book! Jules’ spirit, fire, and incredibly raw emotional responses made her a very relatable character. This is as close to a perfect modern day fairy tale with a side of 🌶️🌶️ as I can imagine. I highly recommend for those looking for a fun, fast-paced beach read that will leave you blushing.

“They needed each other like the sun needs the moon”

Ummmm you might need a shower after this one!! Beck and Jules are bringing all the heat and steam y’all!! These two definitely know who they are, they have it all, as well as being attractive and power gods, yet their main downfall is not being able to make the one decision that would make them happier than ever…. I loved reading Jules and Beck’s story, their sassy fun banter, their building relationship, their struggle to find the decision that would change their lives forever. When you read the words “I want nothing between us”, and the confessions made, you can feel the love radiating off the pages, filling your own heart. The Bennets feel like family to me, and I cannot get enough of them. If I could read about them forever, I would. Plus the Bennett brothers, 🔥🔥🔥! The ending was absolutely perfect! And the epilogue, y’all!! It’s exactly what we’ve been waiting for and I’m HERE for it! Must read!!

“Just please, Wonder, don’t break my heart”

Crazy Over You is the fourth and final book in the Bennett series. It focuses on the story of Jules Bennett, the youngest Bennett sibling and her longtime rival Beckett.

Beckett has always come off as cocky and arrogant in the past, but after a couple days at a work conference, Jules starts to see a different side of Beckett. They’ve misjudged each other and slowly becoming friends they realise they’re not so different.

While Jules and Beckett are the stars this story has so many cute side characters! Beckett being my favourite of course! The tension and banter between them is so good👏👏

Beckett is honestly so bloody cute! I love the way he cares for his family, especially his sister. He’s so loveable!! 🔥🔥

I really enjoyed this story, it’s such a cute romance with just a little sprinkle of spice! While this is the fourth book in the series it wasn’t needed to read the others, but saying that reading this book made me want to find out more about all of the Bennetts.

So grateful to Lily Miller and Katie&Brey PA for my ARC copy of Crazy Over You! These are my and honest thoughts.

I LOVE Jules. I have been waiting for her story and this did not disappoint.

Jules and Beckett both work in the same industry and are rivals. When they meet again at a conference in Miami Jules tries to ignore Beckett as best as she can, but the man just keeps popping up and while he has a few jerk moments, there is also a sweet side that comes out.

I loved the banter, the tension, and the chemistry that these two had from the start! Beckett is super sweet and swoony, even when it comes across as a jerk in the beginning. Jules, well I’ve loved her since she was first introduced in this series. These two together were pure fire and there is definitely some spicy scenes between them.

The Bennett family. I have fallen in love with all of them throughout this series. I loved getting more glimpses of them throughout this story. This book was bittersweet since it was saying goodbye to this series, but it was the perfect ending for one of my favorite book families.

If you’re looking for an enemies to lovers, small town romance this is one to check out.

Enemies to lovers romance

I loved the relationship that the two MCs. It starts out very hostile, and it’s obvious they have had some negative past encounters, but the book starts off where they really start bonding and liking each other.

I loved the characters sassy humor and how they find that they have more in common then they first thought. They both had bad first impressions of each other and it caused them to really dislike each other. Once they got to know each other, they realized that what they had could be more then they ever dreamed.

As with typical romance books, the characters each had silly reasons why they thought the relationship couldn’t work. He thinks that because she comes from money she is too good for him, she thinks that her family will not approve since he works at a rival company. Eventually they realize that they can work through these issues. For a while I thought that Beckett was going to do something stupid and make us cry, but he actually changes his mind before he does it. Which makes this rom-com a bit different then those around it.

Crazy Over You - Book 4 Bennett Family Series
A Novel Written By Lily Miller
Fiction - Romance
Published April 4, 2023

⭐️⭐️⭐️️

This is the final book in the author’s Bennett Family Series. It can be read as a standalone. It is a small town, enemies to lovers, forbidden love romance.

This book focuses on the sister and only daughter in the wealthy Bennett Family, Juliette.
Juliette is head of marketing for the family’s successful boutique hotel business. At a conference in Miami she runs into Beckett Taylor who works for a rival hotel business. Jules has strong feelings of hatred for Beckett. After spending some time with him at the conference, she starts to wonder if her perception of Beck was wrong.

This is a Hallmark like book with some spice thrown in. Jules and Beckett are the cutest couple trying to come to terms with a romance that maybe isn’t meant to be.

This is as cheesy as they come. It has Hallmark movie written all over it.It is romance true and true. It was laced with spice.

It started off sweet with the banter and angst between Beck and Jules making up for good read but then it became flat and mundane. I kept waiting for something to happen-some action but nothing.

I love that it celebrates family and friendship. I love the small town vibes even though I didn’t exactly feel it. It was a small town romance but it only centered on the MCs and their families. There were no nosy neighbors nor meddling townspeople.

The conference scene dragged for a bit (nine chapters). We could have gotten through it in fewer chapters and pages.

Overall, the book could have earned more stars if it weren’t so long , had more ‘action’ and displayed that immersive small town feeling.

I received an advanced copy and the review is entirely mine

This book was awful. Both Jules and Beckett just didn’t work.

There was a lot wrong with this, but I’m mostly just really sick about these idiotic stories where people this young have “worked for years” to be successful and it’s unrealistic. Case on point…Beckett is 27 and he’s so amazing they’re sending him to be the CEO of their whole European division. By the end of this (a couple of years into the future) he’s the CEO of the US. In what world would that happen? None. Meanwhile Jules works for her family and acts like she works super hard just like everyone else. Really? Pretty regularly she’d working from the deck of her family’s yacht. Realistic? Not a chance. And she’s a marketing whiz in charge of all US marketing…at 24 years old.

Honest question - has this author ever even had a corporate job? Because her lack of knowledge for basic business is astounding.

Add there was zero chemistry, Jules is annoying, the pace is slow and boring, and this stunk. What a waste of time.

This may be my favorite Bennett book! Beckett!!!!! *sighhhhh. Jules is the last Bennett sibling, hardworking, smart and uber driven. She's met Beckett in the past, they've had a lot of animosity due to old work issues. He works for the competitor company, so there is some matter that arose in the past that left her despising Beckett. But, they are at the same conference out of town, and Beckett can't stay away even though he should. He is seeing Jules in a different light and is feeling all the feelings.

These two are opposite, grew up opposite but family is a big deal for the both of them. These two had a tumultuous beginning but when they love, they love BIG! I LOOOVE them together. He never saw her coming, but a job opportunity, his dream job is being finally being offered, will that be the end for them?

I was fortunate to receive an advanced copy of this book!

I just finished reading Jules and Beck and I absolutely loved it! The story between them was full of excitement and adventure. Jules and Beck start off as business rivals, but the more time they spend together, the more they realize they have in common. The banter between these two was really interesting to read and I loved watching them grow close to each other throughout the book.

The sexual tension between them is off the charts, and I loved watching them finally give in to their feelings for each other. The ending is both heartbreaking and heartwarming, and I guarantee you'll be rooting for Beck to make the same grand gesture for the woman he loves. Beck made a really tough decision at the end of the book and it just made me love him even more. I'm definitely hoping to find someone like him in my own life!

Crazy Over You was a great read. It is a sweet story of two business associates from rival hotel chains who see each other at a conference and immediately are drawn to each other as lovers but also as soulmates. The reader follows them on this journey to realize that they not only need each other, but that they cannot live without each other. The writing was so poignant in these parts it was very real.
I have to say I like a resolution that does not drag on and on and in this book, that is what I got. I felt very satisfied by it.

Loved receiving an ARC for this book and would definitely recommend. Also, this book is #4 in a series I never had read and it did not matter nor take away anything from the series. This book was sweet and an easy read.

Thank you @authorlilymiller and @katieandbreypa for letting he get an advanced copy of this book. This was the 1st Lily Miller Book I’ve read and I will definitely read more. I knew going in this was the 4th book in the series but can absolutely be read as a standalone. Overall I enjoyed the book. It felt a little like a hallmark movie (a little cheese at times even though I like cheesy) with some spice. Jules and her family are adorable and now I want to go back and read the brothers book. The setting is beautiful, her writing is very detailed, and the story really has you rooting for these two.

This is the final book in the Bennett Family series and what a wonderful conclusion it was!

This series was absolutely amazing. Each can be read as a standalone but I recommend just binging them all.

Jules and Beckett story was wonderful like I knew it would be. The growth of their relationship felt so real and genuine. I could not put this book down even resulting to having Alexa read it to me while I knocked out some chores.

I loved reading Becketts perspective and seeing his mind slowly change and realize things were not exactly what he thought.

One of my favorite things about an interconnected stand alone is the glimpses of the past characters and I loved seeing them all again.

I can not wait for more!

This is the final book in the author’s Bennett Family Series but can absolutely be read as a standalone. The story was not inherently bad, but I felt like it was missing something. There was very little drama, it was quite cheesy, and I felt like there was a lot of repeating throughout the book. I was intrigued enough to finish it so I could see how it would resolve. I absolutely loved the family dynamics and seeing those relationships. Overall, it might not have been my cup of tea, but I know some of you out there will love it! If you like a Hallmarky, enemies to lovers, small town romance HEA, this one's for you.

I have this thing about sometimes starting series out of order, but if Crazy Over You is the finale of the Bennett Family series, I can’t wait to work backwards and sink my teeth into the others.

This was a nice break from dark romance and although I am a fan of all the suspense and drama that comes with some other tropes, this was such a sweet, fun, and light hearted read that still offered steam & spice! The frenemies to lovers banter was so fun and cute. Jules and Beck’s relationship is probably as close to fairytale as you could hope. I enjoyed this so much.

Thank you to @katieandbreypa and @authorlilymiller for gifting me an ARC of this novel in exchange for my honesty review! Crazy Over You was the fourth installment to the Bennett family series by Lily, and it can be read as a standalone.

This was a solid 3-3.5 star romance book!! The entire time I thought this read like a Hallmark movie straight off the screen… well add in spice because this book had it. Jules and Beckett were the ideal swoon worthy lovebird couple. I loved the measures they were willing to go for one another 🤍

The one thing that I did miss in this book was some tension. I didn’t feel like there was enough for me. Obviously big decisions needed to be made by both Jules and Beckett, but I wanted more angst and tension. I was surprised by the spice and open door scenes. This book also had a double extended epilogue which was awesome!!

too slow but lots of promise

To be honest I couldn’t finish the book. It was a little too slow paced for me. It also really annoyed me with the gen -z slang through throughout the book. I know the author was probably keeping her characters realistic and in their actual generation. But I had no idea what they were saying and it put my off. The storyline did show lots of promise !! Just to slow!!
