WOOF this book was so bad 😭 It started off with so much potential. But there’s characters were seriously lacking any depth and then the last half just had so many traumatic events happening that I honestly started laughing. A sexual assault, assault charges, arson, dead sister, bar fight, they win the game and then three cities begging to sign both Miller and Tank all in the last 100 pages? Each conflict was resolved in a couple of pages too. The only reason I did not DNF was sheer stubbornness and I wish I hadn’t honestly.

I’M SO HAPPY THAT I READ THIS BOOK AND FOUND THIS AUTHOR. THE HERO IS OVER THE TOP POSSESSIVE PROTECTIVE ALPHA MALE AND THE WHOLE STORY IS SO FREAKIN ROMANTIC ☺️❤️ I love it when i find new authors that write books so great and what I’m looking for in a romance novel🥺😍🙏🏼 Like the best feeling ever!

This story really is that romantic! Not too heavy either😍 There’s definitely drama here but not too much and also the drama is not even childish or too much! When I read this and till the end, I can tell that the book is not too heavy. There’s no dark romance, not too much childish drama or unnecessary drama. So if you looking for a book that is a romance one and have a great couple with many positive vibes in it then read this book. You will love it!
IT’S SOOOO RARE THESE DAYS TO FIND A COLLEGE ROMANCE THAT IS SAFE AND ROMANTIC LIKE THIS ONE. SOOOO RARE!!!! BECAUSE USUALLY THE DRAMA IT’S FREAKIN ANNOYING AND UNNECESSARY. TRUST ME, I READ MANY COLLEGE ROMANCE MANY TIMES AND MANY TIMES IT REALLY FAILED ME TO THE POINT I WANT TO SLAP THE CHARACTERS🥵🥵😅

The book starts with the heroine is preparing herself with her bestie to go to the gym together. I love that it starts with the heroine is doing positive thing with her bestie slash roommate and that’s shows how the heroine is doing something in her life. Not some heroine that starts with bad opening of her sad emotions lol (if you know what i mean). And the heroine the next day when she was at class with also her best friend, their class is a communication one. The professor assign her and her best friend to promote and write weekly articles on the hockey team. At first they were hesitated but go along with it. And then they go to hockey team practice place to talked to the coach about it…. And that’s where the heroine meet the hero for the first time. Because he is a hockey player and very great one as well😍

The hero really have a great words to say about the heroine when he first saw her… At first he just wants the heroine to sleep with him and even give her his number to see if she’s done with it as well but turns out the heroine won’t accept that quickly like he thought. And that made the hero more curious about the heroine cause it made him wanting her more. And become more serious about wanting her, not just a one night stand 🥺

His personality is very interesting. The hero is charming, wise, smart and very gentlemen. (Not childish and have a big one🤣)
The hero used to be a manwhor3 but i think it’s not too much either. Because he only meet one of his one night stand here like just one time. And he never meets others again ever in the entire book. And he also talked about it like just one time to the heroine because she asked him. He also for himself he never mentioned it a lot the way he sleep with who or how. So his manwhor3 didn’t really show if you know what i mean🤣 that’s why I didn’t get mad about it when i read that he used to be a manwhor3 cause it didn’t really show either…
Before they were dating but were getting pretty close, the hero already said to everybody that he is taken and not single. Because of the heroine🥺 Idk why but that just so freakin romantic of him to do that!

Because there’s many positive vibes here. The story has more about the good times the couple spend their time together as a couple and before, with their friends, their me time especially me time from the heroine. So mostly the drama is less because there’s more about the positive things about each characters. I love it😍

The best part is that when the hero is already gonna signed up with a team, he let the heroine to choose for him. And not because he was force or he was afraid of the heroine, but because he love her so much! “Baby. As long as I have you, I don’t care where it is. I’m playing hockey. I want you to have everything, Dani. And if a career in PR is what you want and LA is the best option for that, then that’s where we’re going, And as for your dreams, they’re mine, too.” 🥺

If I could give this book zero stars I would. I rolled my eyes and made faces within the first 10 pages about 10 times. I hoped it would get better. It got worse. It was so bad, that I opened my notes app to keep track of my thoughts and opinions. Rather than retyping it all, I have simply copied them over here. Now you are probably wondering why I finished it and the answer is because I can’t leave a book unfinished. It makes me incredibly anxious until I panic and ultimately have to finish it anyway. Which is why I forced myself to read this as fast as possible in one sitting to get this nightmare over with. A nightmare, which, thanks to my lack of reading the description of both the book and the genre and reading it on the kindle app where I could skip to the first page of writing, I also missed the trigger warnings. So my dumbass has learned a lesson today that I hope I learn from in the future. I simply got lost in the im feeing lonely so I want to read a rom com and love ice hockey and this was recommend after I read Icebreakers so I’ll give it a shot. I Pucked up. So here are my book notes. Yes there are spoilers. No I am not hitting the spoilers button because then, if you’re like me and glanced at the reviews and saw high rankings mostly by people who like this genre and these types of characters and saw one bad review that had spoilers then there is no way you’d look into it anymore. I wish I would have had that but I just saw 5 stars on my so clicked want to read and moved on to starting it. Big mistake. This book didn’t really resonate with me at this point in my life. I do think I will try and read it again later, just because I do think I might love it then. I just didn’t connect with the characters.
Danielle is a communication major who was assigned the hockey football team to write articles and help promote the team. Her and her best friend have a ton of events planned to help. Danielle just got out of an abusive relationship and isn’t to trusting of men right now. When she meets Miller she try’s to push away any and all feelings toward him away. She doesn’t feel ready to get in a relationship right now. But he makes her feel so much…
Miller is the captain of the hockey team. From the first second he saw Dani he wanted her, he knew that he was going to make her his.
Now, I personally didn’t feel as if the characters had any depth. They were extremely immature. And slightly annoying. Towards the end I do feel that the author was just trying to fill the pages. They kept adding more and more drama. I’m not sure if it was to make the characters more relatable or to give them some type of character depth…. I’m not sure….. I will say this. It was written well, very little grammatical errors.
JUST BECAUSE THE BOOK WASN’T IT FOR ME. DOES NOT MEAN YOU WILL NOT ENJOY IT. YOU SHOULD CONSIDER GIVING IT A TRY, WE ALL ENJOY DIFFERENT THINGS!!!

This is the new improved version of “Miller” by Sheridan Anne. It’s now called “Not Your Pucking Girl”, which I love as a title.
Miller and Dani are just so hot and steamy, you could cut the sexual tension with a knife. But at the same time, they’re so sweet and adorable as a couple.
This book spoke to me. A lot of us have been in bad/abusive previous relationships, and find it hard to trust again. Cain Millers determination to win Dani over was heartwarming.

The second half of this book was a lot to take in. With everything that happened to Dani, I didn’t expect Miller to loose his baby sister either or Dani’s justification to being used as a method of release all because he’s hurting. Idk it just didn’t seem right to me that he would do that to her the night his sister died.

I usually can look past stuff like this when it happens since college sport romances are some of my fav books (The Deal by Elle Kennedy is one of my favs) but this is both trying to hard and not meeting the mark for good literature.

Really enjoyed this one! Our hero is actually a really good guy and not really a manho. Maybe he was but not anymore. Our heroine is smart and recently out of a toxic/abusive relationship. Once the H and h see each other there is no one else! No OW drama, just a minor misunderstanding with a sister. OM drama with her ex but thankfully our hero takes care of him. Loved these 2 together❤️
Not sure I can read the next book, hate second chance stories for the most part and our H is a gross manho. 🤮I bet the h has been celibate while they were apart🙄

This is so stupid 😂 If it wasn't less than 8 hours of listening time and free on Audible, I definitely would have DNF'd. This was so bad, and I used to think it was impossible to write a bad hockey romance, but I was wrong.
The amount of times someone "smirks" was so 🤢 I counted FIFTY ONE times they 😏'd, but I definitely missed some in the beginning before this annoyance started making me count. I started keeping a tally at about chapter 10 I think. This starts off with 2 obnoxious college girls on an assignment for a class following the hockey team and immediately starts being super weird and creepy about it constantly following them and just being obnoxious about it all. Usually to get this close to a team, you need to be in PR or have a job thats behind the scenes, and not just an assignment that a normal college kid would spend a few hours on. They are weirdly bossy and invasive and nobody seems to care. Our FMC says she could see herself falling in love with the MMC after like 4 short interactions 😂 The female narrator did a great job making them as irritating as they would be IRL with valley girl voices and some really bad interactions with people that are unrealistic. I really don't know why I read this. It was SO cringey. The smut wasn't even good and I definitely don't think I'll be trying to read another painful college setting hockey romance because it's just not it for me.
This was also written so poorly that the heavy themes that were introduced just seemed silly. It has arson, sexual assault, abuse, and death, that just were fine in a day or 2, like no...that doesn't not affect people IRL 🤦♀️ This could have been great if the writing wasn't so juevenile. I could have loved this story, but it was such a miss.

I love a hockey romance, this one is sweet but nothing extraordinary.
I liked FMC Dani and her friend group. Miller is over protective and changes his play boy ways for Dani immediately. A tad unbelievable in my opinion but ai still enjoyed it.

This is probably one of my top hockey reads ever. I loved it when it was just called "Miller." I've read this book many times, and it never gets old.
The only thing i forgot from book, though, was...

I forgot about what happened to Mia, and I did find it odd that she would offer to take care of a funeral for someone she didn't even know and that millers mother would actually be ok with that. A funeral is such a personal thing for most families it just seemed really odd to me... but I overlooked that because maybe that's just a personal option. Maybe others dont feel the same way.

DNF 31% Insipid, immature, shallow characters with only sex on their mind. Look, I know that college students like to party and have their fun, and I am fine with that, but it’s annoying when that’s the only thing they talk about. It was all about sex, sex, and more sex. How hot he is or how hot she is! If they were not talking about having sex, they were thinking about it and when they weren’t doing that, either the side characters or the main characters were having sex. Ugh so boring and unoriginal.
Also, someone who has been through something bad with their ex, like it was hinted at with Dani, someone like that doesn’t just give in after a few smirks from the hot guy on the hockey team. It just doesn’t work that way.
