This book is such a fantastic, comprehensive book on fertility. It covers holistic fertility health, but also includes fertility treatments, which have higher success rates when the former are integrated in. It is extremely rare that I learn anything new from fertility books, though I do still read them all for fun. Yet, I was excited to find some new information in this one! It was published this year (2023) and has more recent research included and a more modern feel to it. Most of this book is information I have been giving to my friends who struggle with infertility that have asked me for help, minus the TCM blends as I'm not an herbalist, though the author has obviously found using them beneficial, but more in detail. As a woman trying to conceive, understand your cycle and what is going on in your body is vital to giving yourself the best chance of conception and Dr. Burns covers that thoroughly. All of the advice on improving fertility is more personalized, based on particular fertility issues like PCOS, endometriosis, low ovarian reserve, etc, but there is much advice that significantly improves odds for everyone, such as a clean diet and acupuncture, just to name a few. This book is a vital companion for anyone looking to get pregnant (good quality egg and sperm health is the goal regardless of how long it does or doesn't take to conceive) or dealing with infertility. Especially if fertility treatments are not yet an option, financially or otherwise, this book can maximize odds without any assistance. I checked this book out from the library, but bought a digital copy to refer back to in assisting friends or for when we are ready to add to our family again at a later date. It has roughly 300 pages of fantastic content and has definitley made its way into my ⭐️top 3⭐️ favorite fertility books! I highly recommend!!

This book is all encompassing. Dr. Burns presents different possible diagnosis and treatments both in a holistic manner and traditional Western medicine. The information is presented in a combination of Layman's terms and medical terminology which is usually supplemented with less medical jargon heavy explanations. The writing is empathetic and includes examples of previous patients, the writing is aimed at connecting to the individual reading and not a textbook format. I enjoyed that both Eastern and Western medicinal styles were included as a lot of women today do not know or implement Eastern techniques. She emphasizes focusing on the four main factors that women have more control over. Dr. Burns includes a comprehensive list of foods that can boost fertility and vitamins to consume at different stages of your cycle. Dr. Burns focuses on a holistic approach, de-stressing physical and mental stress. Furthermore, fertility treatments are also described and ways to support in a naturopathic perspective during them. This book left me feeling very informed and confident to implement practices she describes to better my health and fertility. The Ultimate Fertility Guide contains a vast amount of information and step by step techniques to help one's and one's spouse's fertility.

Great book that I will continue to reference— not only applicable to those wanting to get pregnant. Insightful to females with hormone imbalances. Pick this up to learn more about what foods, supplements, exercises, etc. help create the healthiest reproductive system. I liked how she organized and presented the information.
