Reading his favorite book at home, Sheldon the crab has the dream day planned for any introvert, until his friends want to play. Sheldon finds himself trapped between wanting to make his friends happy and catering to his own needs. What will he do?
I read this very cute children’s book to my 6 year old grandson. We loved it! Great illustrations and message. We look forward to reading it again and again.
Self love and courage to say and do what you desire is the hidden treasure in this adorable read! What a fun story with rhymes, lessons, and adventure to share with the littles. Well done!
Sheldon is the cutest little character. 😍 A lovely story which children will enjoy. Sheldon likes his alone time, but his friends are keen for him to join them as they play. He feels torn between wanting to please them and wanting to do what he wishes. His friends continually try to encourage Sheldon to join them, but also they seem to respect his wishes not to. His friends are patient, and they don't give up trying, which is a lovely portrayal of friendship and respect. Sheldon shows his appreciation of this through a kind gesture. We all need some alone time sometimes, and it's important that we recognise what's right for us and for others. Written in rhyme with lots of repetition that children will enjoy and beautifully illustrated
This book is about a crab who loves reading and wants some quiet time, but his friends want to play. It shows kids it's okay to spend time alone and enjoy their own hobbies, but also how sharing fun with friends is great too. The pictures are cute, and the story helps kids learn about balancing alone time with friend time.
This story teaches children an important lesson that of course being with your friends and doing fun things with them is important, but so is you time and reading a good book! Cute story!
