Sam isn’t a part of my plan. He is a distraction from why I came home. I am here to reconcile with my sister, and that’s it. Once that is done, I am on the first plane back to my promotion in Miami.Besides, I see right through his golden boy act. He isn’t more than a ski bum looking for a one-night stand with tourist bimbos. The fact he is a part of the ski patrol makes it impossible to avoid him on the mountain. What’s more challenging is figuring out how to tell him no each time he tries to charm me, but do I even want to say no?
Samuel
Bianca may only see me as some Colorado vagabond, but I don’t care. Her giving me the cold shoulder only provokes me more. I can’t help wondering what her frigid exterior is hiding. She’s not just a tourist pretending to be a ski bunny. There is more to her; I'm sure of it.When Bianca is on this mountain, she’s in my world. I’m going to prove to her this is where she belongs. There is more under her icy façade, and I’m determined to find out what it is.This story contains explicit sexual content, profanity, and topics of depression and grief that may be sensitive to some readers. It is intended for persons 18 years of age and older.A dog plays a key role in the story; at no time is the dog hurt or in danger.
🏔️❄️🎿 I have never had a book make me want to pack up and move so quickly, but after reading lifted I wanted to hop on the first plane to Colorado and never look back.
“She’s a goddess, but not the kind to represent love or springtime. But the goddess that finds solace from war in the cold depths of the mountain”
The depth in this novel makes you feel like you’re peeling at an onion one beautifully perfect layer at a time. I was totally invested from start to finish, each revelation pulling at my heart strings more and more.
“Hey bunny I didn’t mean to offend you” I raise my arms in surrender. “don’t call me that she’s still fuming. “Why not? You do make a very cute ski bunny.”
While their relationship is based in slight retorts and constant teasing on both ends ,Sam and Bianca have this unspoken kinship a bond that makes them like two pieces in the same trauma filled puzzle and though it seems like it takes them an eternity to uncover it, while they do you can’t help but hope they don’t loose each other in the process.
One thing I truly loved about reading Lifted is even though their timeline happens so fast you would think these two have known each other forever. The mutual understandings, the instant attraction, these two are let’s face it hot and full of steamy attraction but for me it was more than that it’s the love story you never want to end. 🤍
I knew that I would love this book from the blurb, however reading it exceeded all of my expectations. This is definitely a story I’d read again and again and never get tired of. If you haven’t read it yet jump on the next lift to your nearest bookshop, scroll over to Amazon, you WONT be disappointed ❄️🎿
Read if you like: - He Falls First - Small Town Romance - Instalove
The perfect winter romance read. You could literally read this book in one sitting and imagine you’re snowed in. Bianca returns home to Colorado for a solo trip, she’s on a mission to be there for her sister. While out on the slopes, Sam notices Bianca. She’s a huge mystery, But he’s drawn to get to know her. She try’s to forget about meeting Sam, because she isn’t back home in Colorado for “fun”. But Sam can’t quite leave her alone. This Instalove story also has a deeper meaning. While this book is big on love/lust at first sight, it also hits a lot on grief and depression. Bianca and Sam are alot more alike than they might think. This was a super quick and easy read. I enjoyed this Wintery small town romance but wanted just a little bit more from the characters. Bianca was a little bit more surface level than I would of wanted and wished she would of opened up to Sam just a bit more. All in all, a very enjoyable read!
Huge thank you to the author for her debut novel in exchange for an honest review.
I was gifted a copy of this book by the author. First of all, love the cover! Love the pink and blue together. Love the unique setting in the Rocky Mountains. The spice level of this book is 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️. Be aware that it is definitely for 18+. It was hard for me to put this book down. I was so curious as to what was coming next. Love that the book touched on grief and trauma. This book was such a cozy romance. Would definitely be a fun winter read! Great debut novel! Excited to see what is to come!
I didn’t know what to expect when I was asked to read this book, and let me tell you it blew my expectations out the water!! Lottie does a wonderful job describing the beautiful settings, building the characters, and making you fall in love flaws and all. I am super impressed with her debut novel and look forward to reading more from her.
A bit of a slow burn, I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and getting to know the MCs. The unhealed trauma gets me every time! I’ll definitely read the others in this series ;)
