All her life, Natalie has dealt with men that did nothing but bring her heartache and stress. At one point, she believed it was all she deserved, and all she would ever be handed. When her sister finds love in the most unexpected place, Natalie realizes that maybe true love isn't so far-fetched.
Tim has worked his whole life to become successful. His job was everything to him, and the only thing that mattered, but as age starts to creep up on him, he feels a void. He never wanted a family, but the thought of having someone to spend the rest of his life with isn't starting to sound so bad.
Natalie and Tim are willing to give one another a chance, but are they ready for a real relationship? For two people who have never given love a second thought, it's an uncomfortable step to take...
Just in time for Valentine's Day, they both wonder if love is worth the risk, or if they are better off going their separate ways?
*Exaggerated sigh* I really wanted to like this story. I’ve read all things Shanel and one thing I love about her writing is the ability to pull all the emotions out of me; the good the bad and the ugly. This just didn’t make the cut. Now don’t get me wrong it wasn’t a bad story, it was just ok. It just lacked in all areas. The storyline was basic, the love aspect was basic and the chemistry felt very basic. I do recommend that you read Clarke and Tinsley’s Winter Crest Christmas story first before diving into this one. I actually really enjoyed their story and even mentioned in my review that I wanted a story about Natalie and Tim. This is not what I had in mind tho 🥴. Natalie was first introduced in that book as Tinsley’s sister. Now maybe I forgot but I thought Natalie was younger. Natalie was too old (early 40’s) to still be chasing behind prison bae fk boys and ninjas with a minimum of 3 baby mamas. After her most recent fk boy played in her face she went back to the drawing board and decided to give Tim a chance. Now I did like Tim’s character. He was a 45 year old journalist and had his ish together. He was from the UK so I had to read his parts with a British accent 🤣😩. His salt and pepper beard was giving serious Idris Elba zaddy vibes. Tim is ready to settle down and was not with the immature games. He was quite smitten with Natalie and wanted to see if they were a match made in heaven. This was an Insta love for sure and my boy fell hard and fast. The story flowed really well and there were definitely some nice moments, it just lacked that wow factor. I’m still a Shanel fan and look forward to more from her in the future. I’m gonna chalk this one up to writers block.
I can appreciate a man who knows what he wants and goes after it. Tim did not come to play any games. When he met Natalie, he was instantly enamored with her and the feelings were definitely mutual. Natalie was finally sick and tired of all the prison bae f’boys with multiple baby mamas she was givin’ her time to and getting nothing in return. Seeing Tinsley boo’d up and happily in love had her changing her tune real quick. With some help from her little sister, Natalie finally starts to see her worth. I liked me some Natalie and Tim. I actually think I liked them better than Tinsley and Clarke. Fight me! Now, Tim’s profession as a journalist…… lets talk about it. Once again, this author’s book lacked research. First and foremost, Tim is not a print journalist. He does not writes articles for a newspaper or a magazine. Yes Tim is a journalist but, he’s a correspondent. A correspondent is a reporter who flies all around the world reporting on the news in different countries ON THE AIR so, he’s not writing any articles. There’s a huge difference between the two and, quite honestly, you should know that. As someone who majored in journalism, I’m appalled and offended that the author couldn’t be bothered to look this up when the information is readily available on Google. Listen, if you’re not willing to do the research, please stop writing on topics you’re unfamiliar with. You just come off as lazy and uninformed.
WHAT⁉️ Who are these people? …I’d just read “A Winter Crest Christmas: Clarke & Tinsley” on November 27, 2023. Tinsley & Clarke, are both corporate professionals (Attorneys) with unsuccessful dating/relationships histories and have minimal time to actively pursue compatible mates. …(if my memory serves me correctly, they were secretly providing maintenance services 🤭🤷🏾♀️ in between court presentation). Conversely, Natalie was definitely the youngest irresponsible and reckless sister of Tinsley. Also, she had just met Tim. Now “A Winter Crest Valentine’s: Natalie & Tim” barely two months later, these same characters and professionals are completely transformed! WHAT⁉️ No that’s inconsistent!….unacceptable! …illogical!…disjointed! Had these two books been written, released and or presented as standalone, I wouldn’t contest the characters or plot development. Unfortunately, these characters are imposture!
It's Always A Great To Be Surprised In A Good Way!
Shanel, this love story was so grown up and pleasant to me. No, was it your normal in my opinion no, but baby it was grown and sexy to me. I love how Natalie knew what she wanted from a man although afterwards she felt empty. I did appreciate she didn't repeat back after she was done. Tim,was on his grown man stuff all around, I loved how he was just himself and made know mistakes when he set out to pursue Natalie, making her know she was worthy of a grown man that had his own and knew who and what he deserved as well. I loved this grown couple🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗
After another failed relationships, Natalie decided to take up her sister’s boyfriend offer to hook her up with his friend. Tim was older, wiser, & established. The total opposite of the men Natalie usually dated. Deciding to take a break from his demanding & strenuous job as a journalist, Tim was ready to find the right woman to settle down with. Tim was truly smitten when he first laid eyes on Natalie & knew she was the one. Natalie & Tim’s love story gave you all the feels of long term relationship goals.
Natalie got played by DeAndre. Tinsley told her he wasn't ish. Here comes Tim with his accent and treating her like a queen as she should be. What tickled me was when Mrs.Holliday walked and Tim gave her an eye full and she talking about their daddy third leg. Tim walked away from his job so he could focus on a wife and kids. Natalie went to bat for herself and her nurses. Tim told David he had Natalie for the game and in life. He's what's his
Natalie got just what she wanted just in a different package. I love how sensual , expressive and loving this story was from beginning to end. It was so tense for me that I felt all that Natalie and Tinsley felt from their men. I felt the protection, purpose and physical contact these men were for the women. It's an awesome Feeling to have a significant other who knows what they want and feelings are mutual. Great Read! ReneeG
Shanel you never disappoint. This was a really great love story. I really proud of Nat for changing her love life around and went with someone different then what she was use to. I love the way Tim is with her. I truly enjoyed this book and it was great catching up with Tinsley and Clarke.
Clarke and Tinsley’s story left me wondering if Clarke hooked Natalie up with his friend. I was so pleased to know that he did and I’m so happy for my girl Nat she deserved real love from a real man and Tim was definitely the man.
I was hoping for an epilogue were the sister were both married and pregnant. Overall a really good read!
Tim's and Natalie's love story was wonderful but I wanted more. I wanted to read about her meeting his parents. I wanted to read that she and her sister had gotten pregnant and married to best friends... The end left me with too many questions and wanting to know more. So disappointed in the ending ☹️
I enjoyed this short love story! You will find live, respect, family, friendship and humor! Tim and Natalie were so good together. I love their communication and interaction! I hope to see more of the couples, Clarke & Tinsley and Tim & Natalie!

I love love and this was beautifully written! I love how you didn’t over power is with Tinsley & Clarke but gave us just enough !!! I love how Tim and Natalie naturally connected and whew the sex 🔥🔥😝
Tim and Natalie relationship was cool they took the time to get to know each other I need a little bit more from them and to see what happens with her sister and Clarke see will they get married ... I recommend this story
I enjoyed reading this authors work. I'm glad we heard a little from Clarke and Tinsley also. Tim and Nat had a strong chemistry from the very beginning and I enjoyed it.
Natalie had to kiss a few frogs to get to her Prince Charming. Tim came into her life and made things fall into place fast. Their chemistry was amazing and they fell fast! It was what the both of them needed. Awesome read!
After falling for the wrong man way too many times Natalie wanted and needed something different. She got everything she was looking for when she met Tim. She thought he was too good to he true but he proved very quickly that he was worthy of being in her life.
