If I spend the year at Pendleton Prep, I can go back on my merry way. The problem is that life here is not exactly what I expected.

There was a lot of mystery wrapped up in this book and despite initially being utterly confused, I slowly got into it. There was definitely suspense, but I desperately needed more details early on. I have terrible patience though, so this could just be a ‘me’ problem.
The first chapter hinted at a secret society or possibly a cult, I wasn’t too sure. It did occasionally give culty vibes, which I was super intrigued about. There are two distinct (exclusive) groups, the ‘devils😈’ and the ‘angels 😇’, so there was a nice juxtaposition (in this possible cult).
I did enjoy reading the personalities of each of the characters (even the a-hole ones), but I definitely had to give myself a moment to adjust to them. They are sooooo posh. They ooze wealth, privilege and are the definition of trust fund babies. Not a bad thing, but their speech is all very well-to-do.
I feel like this applied more so to the MMCs, but I probably only noticed it as there were more of them. The FMC was also loaded, but seemed more reluctant to appear full-blown ‘private school girl’.
Initially, I couldn’t tell you how many people would be involved in the harem. I even tried to cheat and look in the reviews, but there was not a spoiler in sight. So you’re going to have to wait and see also, although it’s very apparent as the book goes on.
The multi-pov was super insightful, but at times a little bizarre. There was a random POV from a girl in the Big sister program (the FMC was her mentor) and I struggled as to why it was included. Now that I look back on it, It was probably included to show a different perspective of the FMC, but at the time I was very confused.
I’m not connecting with many of the characters currently (They might all be too posh for me to get my head around), but each member of the harem seemed to bring something different. I feel a bit more invested in Leo and Jake’s possible relationship because I did not see that coming at all. That was a real plot twist.
I’m going to continue with the next book because the cliffhanger was a little terrifying, in the best way. I really need to know … just why. I’m not really in a forgiving mood, so let’s see how it goes 😂😅

So. Much. Mystery!! I still have questions. Heather how can you leave me hanging like that!? I NEED the next book stat!!!
I'm so interested to see where the relationship dynamic goes between the main characters and where everyone will eventually slot in. I'm a Wyatt girl. Can I lick him? If I lick him he's mine right? 😍
Ivy has been sent to Pendleton Prep with her BFF and are trying to fit in with this new life. Enter the Devil's 😈 The Devil's are hot. H. O. T!! But with the Devil's comes the mystery and questions. We get multiple POV's which I love. I can't wait to see where this series takes us! A brilliant start to a new series ❤️

What a Book!!!
Kept me on my toes, not knowing which direction it will take x
I was absolutely engrossed in who’s who, who’s running things overall. Love getting all the different points of view and seeing The Devils becoming possessive over the Angels and the lengths they will go to. Looking forward to the final pairings and finding out more about the The Devils and The Angels x
So many questions still to answer and I CAN’T wait for more.

I am livid right now - Not that this ends on a serious WTEverLovinHades cliffy moment - But because of who is spotlighted in that WTEverLovinHades cliffy moment and who I think might have set her up
This leaves me wondering if I pegged everyone wrong
Could those closest to her actually be in on it?
Dear ol' Dad has some explaining to do as well as a few others that she should have been able to trust - That is if the events leading up to this final scene mean anything or the author is trying to throw me off again
But then this whole story has had me running this way and that
This first book sets the tone for the series
It's a secret society - a private college - a place where parents are willing to sacrifice their daughters as future Angels in the hopes they will be educated to complement a chosen Devil
Though not every Angel wants to be arm candy and not every Devil wants to choose an Angel
Can't get to the top without making sacrifices
We meet some of the key players
The men who will battle for the coveted position as a Devil - only 3 positions available
And the women who were chosen to be their Angel
We also briefly meet past initiates and those pulling the strings
As well as characters who may play much bigger roles as the story progresses
The plans are laid out only we are as blind to the end game as the players
We are teased with possible outcomes
We get to witness the desires, the jealousy, the smexy and steamy
Packer creates a sense of suspense and danger that is almost constant throughout the story. I was never quite sure what was going to happen next. The characters were well-developed, I couldn't help but root for Ivy as she tries to navigate her way through the deceptions and misdirections.
I need to know who threw the last punch
Was a certain someone(s) aware of how the night would end?
No way he would do that
I don't know who to believe I just know you better not hurt Ivy
A solid start that left me in desperate need of book two!!

But it turns out that life at the school isn't what she expected. It seems she was wrapped up and served on a platter for the Devils of Pendleton Prep. They're incredibly hot, but they are involved in something she wants nothing to do with. Several of the Devils have their sights set on her, but they don't realize she's already entangled in the world of the elite. Where nine begin, only three will end....how far will they go to secure their place?
This story in this unique world is incredibly complicated but highly entertaining. I don't want to give away anything. It would be like giving you all the answers to an elaborate game that you truly enjoy playing. Where is the fun in that? At this school, each of the Devils are paired with their own Angel, but both have to make it to the end. I was 100% engaged and loved how the author wrote this story. I was very entertained and highly recommend this read. It is not a standalone, so keep that in mind. It is a dark romance, so please educate yourself if triggers are an issue for you. This is my honest opinion, freely given.

I loved this one.
If you like books that keep you on your toes, you will not be disappointed with this one. I really wanted to read this in one go, but had to split it between two day.
This is the first book in a brand new series and I have so many questions. There are multiple POVs in this one, so be prepared to be inside the mind of several players.
This secret society has so many moving parts, I don't know how the author managed to keep them all straight. It's so hard to review this book since I am trying not to give away too many spoilers.
All I can say is go into this one blind. Have zero expectations and let this author take you for a ride.

This book was great!
I love the main plot and all the characters. I've always enjoyed stories with secret societies and this one doesn't disappoint! I have so many questions. What happens next? We've got secrets going on behind the scenes, games being played and we have no idea who will be left in the end.
I can't wait to see what happens next and who's going to make it through all the games!!!

“Her devil” is the 1st book of “The devils of Pendleton prep” series. This story has gone off to an excellent start of a brand new series.
H.L. Packer is an amazing author who will always keep you guessing. As soon as i reading this story I was completely hooked. I am left with a lot of questions that I am seeking the answers too I cannot wait for the next book in this series. I would however recommend you read the prequel “The Sect” before you start this book. I honestly can’t recommend this story enough.

What a cliff hanger!! I am loving Ivy and all the little secrets everyone has and tries keeping to themselves. This series is going to explode! Nick has some serious issues, Jacob is just loveable. Leo is Mr tall dark and mysterious. Wyatt is the chill surfer with a hidden dark side. Olly is dangerous and I am here for it all! Nice extra mystery is Ruby and I can't wait to see where she fits in.

Ivy is definitely popular with Nick , & Wyatt , Leo & Jacob too , but they are also interested in each other. This story can literally go in so many directions.
Every turn of the page had me asking , “ what’s going to happen next “.

This was a steamy addictive romantic suspense read that kept you on the set of your pants the entire time. The characters took you on a roller coaster ride where your emotions were concerned for you and them. That couldn't be helped as the story progresses you have grown to really like and love this great group of characters yet already know the fate of some of them and only the smartest and toughest will endure to the end.
Some of our favorite characters are Ivy, Nick, Leo, Jacob, and Wyatt. Loved the characters' witty banter and their humor, and the possessive and protective natures loved their quick wit and their smarts and sexiness and hotness galore.
This was a hot sexy read with all the sexy men and their Angels. The men are the Devils the women the Angels the only problem is more than one Devil is drawn to the same woman.
Overall we loved the action-packed read filled with suspense, romance, tragic events, the air of mystery and by now you have caught on that the parents of these students have thrown their children to the wolves so to speak. Not that anything has been fully explained but, this school is run by the elite secret society, and it is time for their children and their initiations if only they can survive them. Just Wow! This story was an intense and sexy story to read as you stumble through the pages along with the characters trying to make sense of everything going on around them the who what and why. Loved it!

Now she is paying for that by having to go to Pendleton Prep for a year and then she can be on her merry way and get on with her life. However things don't go exactly as she expects them to. She thought she could serve her time of the year and then move one. But that's not at all what happens when she is served up on a silver platter to The Devil's of Pendleton Prep. All of them hot and involved in things she wants absolutely nothing to do with. More than one is interested in her but they don't realize that she is already entangled in the world of the elite. OH MY EVER LOVIN' HOLY SUSPENSE FILLED HELL! I have so many questions about this story that I couldn't sleep last night because I was obsessed like you wouldn't believe. Her Devil kicks off a new series that I have no doubt will be straight epic goodness especially since there are so many moving parts, and I can assure you, the twists were coming in HOT! It was even more compelling with all the different POVs so it felt like I was in the head of most of the moving parts, and I haven't decided who's my favorite or who not to be suspicious of. I'm not going to get any detail other than my feelings as it would be a crime to give any sort of spoilers because this author deserves serious props for creating a secret society with so many layers that my head is still spinning. The next book cannot come out quickly enough since I don't have it on my kindle already so simply put, I'm dying inside for more! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Well shoot, H.L. Packer definitely delivered one heck of a start with this book and I can't wait to keep on going with what's to come in this series.
We certainly were left in the wonderland of what in the world is going to happen next! This is my first book from this author but she certainly has picked my interest and now I am HOOKED!
So much going on in here with the devils and angels and secret society and private school. I was just totally lost in this story and couldn't find myself untangling my fingers from the kindle until I got to the very end only to find myself speechless and with so many questions and wishing I could just jump right into the next book. Cliffhangers are my kryptonite!
I can't wait for more of these devils/angels and see who ends up with who and what happens next!

This is the first in a new series, and this is about a private college, with a secret society, where parents are willing to sacrifice their daughters to become “Angels”, and to be educated to complement their chosen “Devils”. I loved the dynamics between the Angels and the Devil’s, and I cannot wait to read the next n=book in this incredible storyline. This is a well written story which is an emotional roller coaster, which is action packed, haunting, twisted, and with lies, suspense, danger, sacrifices, challenges, tragedy, witty banter, family, friendships, drama, and trust, which leads to an unpredictable, entertaining, and steamy addictive page turner.
I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

Her Devil left me with so many questions! Who is going to be left standing at the end? Who is The Sect? What guy do I love best??… ok so that’s a me question but still.
Her Devil stared out amazing and it can only go up from here. I have read enough secret society stories to know that we are always left with more questions then answers. But we always get our answers at the end. The mystery is what keeps me hooked onto these types of stories and Her Devil is not lacking in the mystery department. It is full of it. It has so many things I need the answer to and I can’t wait to get them.
Her Devil not only has a beautiful cover but HL Packer plotted this story out incredibly. The story flows beautifully and keeps your eyes on the page. There is really nothing I didn’t love about this one.
I’m seriously so impatient for His Angel. This is a highly recommend read and nothing less then 5 stars!

Ooh man talk about an intense ride heather takes you on I felt like a rubberband being wound tighter and tighter about to snap. What a way to kick off a new series.

She’s realizing this school isn't quiet what she was expecting when she learns about the Angels and the Devils and who they are as she find's herself the interest of not one but 2 more Devil's and not to mention the secrets that are hidden behind the men and their masks. I cannot wait for the next book after that cliffhanger that just dropped like a bomb.

Her Devil is book 1 of “The devils of Pendleton prep” series and OMG what a start!
This is written in multiple POC’s which personally I love as I think you get a better all round view of what’s going on.
Having been sent to Pendleton Prep Ivy, with her BFF and just trying to fit in and hope the tear passes quickly, what wasn’t expected was The Sect - who is controlling who and more importantly who are the final three going to be?
With this book you really didn’t know what to expect next, it certainly keeps you page turning - what a fantastic start to a new series, I’m desperate to find out what happens next that I don’t even mind the cliffy ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ without a doubt!
This is written in multiple POC’s which personally I love as I think you get a better all round view of what’s going on.
Having been sent to Pendleton Prep Ivy, with her BFF and just trying to fit in and hope the tear passes quickly, what wasn’t expected was The Sect - who is controlling who and more importantly who are the final three going to be?

I read this after reading the sect! I absolutely love all the characters, Ivy is feisty and strong willed. The guys are fantastic and all have different personalities, my favourite right now is definitely Nick I’m a sucker for the grumpy, possessive guy! That ending has got me gasping and I need to find out what happens next! Still so many secrets and questions to find out from the second book. I’m really excited to carry on reading this series!

Her Devil is the first book of the Pendleton Prep series and is the newest release for HL Packer. I recommend reading the prequal The Sect before reading this book. I loved reading and following interaction between The Angels and The Devils and the different points view in the book. I look forward to reading what happens in book two.

This is my first read by this author. Not only do I have to come back because this left us on a doozy of a cliff, but I definitely WANT to read MORE!!!

I'm lost for words!!
This world Heather has built is just amazing, I'm hooked, I've been sucked in and I don't want to come out until I have answers!
I love Ivy, she's young but she knows her mind and she isn't about to lay down and take what's given to her, she's going to fight for what she wants
And the guys! My god how am I meant to choose between them?!

Greatly enjoyed reading this book. Highly recommend it. There were great charectors and lots of intrigue and mystery. Looking forward to reading more from this author!

This is a slow burner but boy does it keep you on your toes and on the edge of your seat. This is the first book in the Pendleton Prep series and it definitely leaves you with sooooo many questions and not enough answers but hey I suppose that's the point eh?
The only thing that got me was the multiple POVs as it did make my head spin a few times as there were just so many characters on the go I lost track a few times and had to back peddle to remember who was who but it didn't take away from the story and I enjoyed it none the less. The secret society ( The Sect ) has so much happening and you have two groups The Devils and The Angels !! Ivy is part of The Angels and there is definitely more than one Devil that likes her....... there is Nick, Leo, Jacob and Wyatt...hence the so many character POVs but wow all these men definitely feel something for Ivy and want to keep her safe, but safe from what?
The mystery surrounding the sect and who Ivy is to them will have you scratching your head but I guess it's why we have to read the next books to hopefully get some answers!!! This also ends on a cliffhanger so I'm just about to dive into book two to see where it takes me!!!
