Celebrate the fiction of Black Library with this selection of five thrilling stories from the worlds of Warhammer 40,000 and Warhammer Age of Sigmar.
READ IT BECAUSE It's a set of five must-read stories by some of Black Library's greatest authors, showcasing the vast and awe-inspiring worlds of Warhammer. This is the perfect starting point for someone new to Black Library, and an excellent free taster for those who want to expand their bookshelf.
– The Place of Pain and Healing by Justin D Hill - 40K – Monsters by Noah Van Nguyen - Sigmar – Amor Fati by Michael F Haspil - Horus Heresy – The Vintage by David Annandale - Warhammer Horror – Unnatural Causes by Jude Reid - Warhammer Crime
Justin is a long-time Astra Militarum player with a trophy cabinet of painting and gaming awards. He now leads his Imperial Fists into the hell of the Horus Heresy.
A nice little taster of the Warhammer world and the 40k universe. Loved the Horus Heresy short story, starring none other than the III Legion, The Emperors Sons!
It's a pretty nice little freebie with some well-written short stories showcasing parts of Warhammer which often aren't shown in such detail. Not much more to say tbh ahahah
A decent read - its a good idea to have short stories from across the warhammer brand, though its not always clear what universe youre in until a few pages into a story.
As theyre all short stories, there isnt a huge amount of plot twists that can be unexpected or surprising, but thats fine, given the low barrier to entry and completion.
Got this for free for the Black Library celebration week 2023. Had some good short stories from all the different games workshop genres (40k, AoS, Horror etc). My favourite was the first story, a 40k one about the aftermath of the battle of Cadia following Minka Lesk. But all of the stories were pretty decent.
A brief collection of 5 short stories from the Warhammer world. The one from the Crime label stands out the most, however all of them are enjoyable. This book was handed out for free at Warhammer stores in 2023, so it may be difficult to find now, but I'm sure the other short stories were published elsewhere.
