This book was Fangtastic!!!!!!! Rebecca Rivard has mixed the syndicate romance with hot and sexy vampires and they go together like sex and chocolate and just as delicious!! Brien and twilight story was brimming with angst,craving, tension and passion! After one night of mind blowing sex Twilight promises to meet Brien the next day only to never return and for two long years he's hunted the little slayer to the ends of the earth and now that he's found her and made her his new thrall and he's never letting her go! Twilight has never forgotten the handsome and charismatic pure blood Prince of the Maritime syndicate Brien and one night of passion has left her longing for his touch. But when the mysterious Kuro approaches her after she stakes her own alpha and she has to go on the run but he makes a deal with her to get close to some very powerful vampires and exchange he will get her back into slayers Inc. Twilight jumps at the chance! Working at the Le Dahlia Noir undercover a as a singer she catches the eye Fleur a very powerful vampiress and becomes Fleur's personal blood bag but when she's put up for auction in walks Brien the heir and next in line to be Primus for the Maritime syndicate and he's changed! Fallen is book 4 in the Vampire Syndicate series. We briefly met Twilight and Brien in book 3 Taken.

Twilight is a former slayer for Slayers Inc who met Prince Brien of the Maritime Syndicate 2 years earlier when she was undercover. The two connected instantly but then Twilight had to run and they hadn’t seen each other since. Now they are back in each others lives on less than ideal circumstances but it’s clear they are an unlikely perfect pair.

I love this series because it is always so difficult to know who the bad people are. Throughout the book I always think I have figured it out but then I’m instantly proven wrong! Absolutely loved this and can’t wait to see what is next!

I thought the sexiest vampires were the Kral brothers in Pursued, Craved, and Taken. I underestimated the “perfect prince” of the Maritime Syndicate. Sexy, virile, potently male Prince Brien has wiped my memory of his predecessors by staking his claim on badass, incorruptible Twilight and finessing the many threats to his leadership of the Maritime Syndicate. Flanked by his best friends and personal bodyguards, Talon and Cain, they are the latest drool-worthy triumvirate to emerge from Rebecca Rivard’s captivating vampire mafia creation.

Fallen is superb romantic suspense. There were many dangers to Twilight while she was trapped in Castle Leclerc and this kept me on edge. With limited options and surrounded by enemies, she and Brien had to build trust. The initial barriers and final breakthrough of their trust and union is beautifully written, with romance and action well balanced.

Even though this is Book 4 of the Vampire Syndicate series, it’s a great standalone because the issues challenging Twilight and Brien are completely separate from what goes on with the Kral brothers in Books 1-3. However, the Krals and their mates are mentioned as secondary characters. I enjoyed diving deeper into the lore of this world: blood madness, leadership challenges, and Slayer Inc. history being further developed. While I’m delighted that Brien has found his mate, I can’t wait for Talon to get his story soon!

All-consuming, delicious, delectable...a few of the words that immediately came to my mind when thinking of Fallen, the 4th book in Rebecca Rivard's Vampire Syndicate series. I devoured this book, flipping the pages quickly as if my life depended on it.

I'll admit to having a weakness when it comes to reading vampire stories. The Alpha-vampires completely captivate me! Fallen is my new favorite book in this series. I know, I know...I say that each time I read a book in this series, but it's true! Prince Brien is BEYOND sexy as the Alpha-vampire here. His power, obsessiveness, protective instincts are mixed perfectly with his vulnerabilities. I was a goner for him from the start!

Twilight is the smart, sassy Vampire Slayer he can't live without who disappeared on him 2 years ago and suddenly turns up as a blood thrall in a private auction he's invited to. What's a wealthy, alpha-vampire to do? Why, buy her for himself of course and punish her for leaving him...or perhaps not??

Once these two come together again, the sparks fly and, at times, the Kindle pages practically combust! There's all kinds of secrets, lies and double-crosses happening in this story. The suspense will keep you guessing and the steaminess will keep you turning the A/C on to lower the temperature in the room as you read! I love, love, loved this story and was left completely satisfied by the juicy ending, but that won't stop me from wishing for more of this dynamic couple. I hope they make another appearance in a future story! Grab this one...grab the whole series...do not miss it!!!

I FREAKING LOVE this series 😁.

I've become so addicted to this series that I've been reading night and day for Days, I just can't put it down 😄. True love vampire style with a Fantastic storyline is absolutely Awesome 😊. I've read a LOT of Vampire stories, but this series is the BEST one that I've ever read 😀. Thanks again Rebecca, I'm totally hooked on this series and can't wait to read more written by you 🤓.

Good story

I enjoyed this story. I like the plot and characters. Twilight is a strong character. She is a vampire slayer. Brien is a vampire who will lead the Syndicate someday. Both have vulnerabilities. Action, steamy scenes and twists and turns fill these pages. I never saw some of the twists coming. This is a good series.

I absolutely LOVED this book for so many reasons.

Firstly the 2 main characters were fantastic (he was a YOUNG vampire prince in his 30's and she was a badass vampire slayer in her late 20's), it was so refreshing to read about fully grown adults in a fantasy, rather than a teenage virgin and 500 year old vampire/fae.

It also made a refreshing change to read a badass FMC that continued to be a badass the whole way through the book.

The plot was great, I didn't even guess who was the inside traitor (not only did I not guess, I blamed a completely innocent side character :)

Their dialogue was quite funny, she just couldn't stop herself from answering him back and being sarcastic, and he did a great job of pretending he was in charge and was the powerful prince, and not her whipped lover. If there were any red flags I must have missed them because he was actually a bit of a sweetheart.

I will definitely be reading more of this authors books.

2024 reads, #46. I had the fun experience this year of being a judge for the Prism Awards, celebrating the best in paranormal romance publishing, and this is one of the entries I ended up reading for that. Therefore I don’t think it would probably be ethically good for me to be actually sharing my thoughts about each book’s quality here publicly, but I can at least confirm that all of them were great (not surprising, given that this was a contest and we can therefore assume everyone will submit their best work). Frankly, I’m mostly logging this simply so that it will count towards my total number of books read in the 2024 Goodreads Reading Challenge, so that I don’t end up reading all summer long and then have nothing to show for it here afterwards.

Twilight and Brien’s story was one of the more unique of the series. Twilight killed her alpha in defense of Ridley so is essentially on the run from the slayers. The problem is someone does know and is blackmailing her to kill Brien or never return to the slayers. She finds herself being sold at auction when Brien saves her from a worse fate. Brien remembers Twilight from their past history and has always had feelings for her. When the two are together Twilight finds it hard to commit to her task.

Just ok

I loved the story line that was great but way to many pages of sexual filler I had to skip through at least 1/3 of book for all the sexual filler not interested in reading porn I have enough of that in my own bedroom. This was just overboard not even gonna mess with the next book for that very reason.

Prepare for the steamiest experience you can have while reading if you read Fallen by Rebecca Rivard. This is a continuation of her Vampire Syndicate series and we pick up with Twilight after her last job as a vampire hunter.

She is taken by a new handler to be sold at an auction as a blood thrall to a vampire when she is purchased for a very high price by a young and handsome full-blood vampire. Twilight is already acquainted with Brien, the buyer who is wealthy beyond belief and the heir to a vampire syndicate. When he takes her to the family’s private island, she finds herself in the middle of a power struggle. Thankfully, even though she is human, she is not without skills. And also, thankfully, the handsome, rich vampire who technically owns her, does not own blood slaves, but really wanted to save her from the vampire who was bidding against him for her.

Be ready for excitement of all kinds, as well as suspense. This is another great read by Rivard!
