My first heat is coming, and the only pack who I want to spend it with are forbidden. Growing up in foster care in the billionaire King pack, I was chosen as a companion for the abandoned Alpha. He’s everything that an Omega would ever want. My other foster brothers are my best friends: an alluring male Omega, who smells like heaven, and a jock Beta who takes care of us all. Together, we’re each other’s first loves, home, everything.
But then, the Alpha is given the ultimatum to bond with a wealthy Omega…or else. My best friends and I find ourselves fighting for our lives, futures, and love.
But will they still choose me, when they discover my secret?
A jewel. Her kings. A pack bond that changes everything.

I've said it more often, but I'll happily repeat it. Rosemary A. Johns as a writer and me as a reader is a perfect combination. Johns focusses on emotions, on characters, on bonds. And I'm the kind of reader wanting to fall in love with characters, become friends with them and feel for them. This series is one of my favorites by her and I was therefore really excited when my arc for this newest installment came in.
I absolutely and totally loved this book. Not just because it's once more focussing on the emotions and the bond between the different characters. Also because I absolutely adored the heroine in this story. She was smart, she was strong, she was caring and she also liked pretty dresses and looking beautiful. She was the perfect combination of a fierce power woman and the kind of woman I could be with my softer personality.
Once more I also really loved that the issues in this book were eventually solved by being smarter. Don't get me wrong, I love a good physical fight once in a while, but I love it even more when characters are capable of outsmarting their enemies. In this case the game of being smarter is being played for years and eventually it's the combination of all their individual talents that leads to the scheme that gets them their happily ever after.
That doesn't mean this book is just a lot of happiness. On the contrary. There is a lot of angst in this book. Our characters are really going through a lot and as a reader, especially once you start caring about these characters, it's sometimes really hard and painful to see what they're facing and what's being done to them. Especially the Cinderella moment towards the end of the book really broke my heart in a million pieces.
I love the themes that run through this series. They often mirror real-life societal issues and are approached in unique ways. Sometimes interconnected standalones can start to feel stale or like the same tropes or plot devices are being recycled, but this author does a wonderful job of keeping everything fresh and interesting. I loooooove the main characters in this book. They all subvert the expectations placed upon them by society in different ways. This story really highlights how the poor treatment on the lower classes rises up to affect everyone. Corruption is also a running theme, and we see it in a variety of ways throughout the series. Jewel and Didier are fabulous, well-rounded characters. They feel like real people. This is especially true for Jewel because we get her POV. Matthew is a lovely golden retriever MMC, who brings levity to the story. And Braxton is the kind of Alpha who epitomizes what an Alpha should be, despite his upbringing.
I loved the cameos from other books, and I’m very excited to read the next one!
Great story about a pack that grew together through love rather than being planned or forced together. They will do anything to stay together even against all odds.
The first 80% of this book was 4⭐️ and the last 20% was 3⭐️. Which is just such a bummer.
This book starts off super cute. It’s starts with 2 omegas in this abusive omega orphanage but they have each other there, and they LOVE each other. They love each other so goddamn much it made me fucking swoony. Just can’t emphasize how sweet and adorable their relationship is throughout this whole book. I never thought I’d love a relationship that I didn’t see built, so much.
I liked the story line and the other characters that were added into the pack.
Here’s where things went south. Toward the end the villains just get so damn cliche villainy. Like every line of their dialog was cliche and it’s just not things actual people say. I really dislike antagonists written that way. Then as you’re reading the pickle they’re in toward the end, you’re like, how the hell are they going to get out of this… They get out of it through a million legal loopholes (not a million but seriously like a half a dozen) which just felt like lazy/convenient writing. I really dislike endings like this.
Then lastly the Alpha of the pack’s character changes soooo much by the end. Do not give me a standoffish character at the beginning and switch them to a silly, playful character by the end. It just isn’t believable and it drives me crazy. Like yeah, they can loosen up a bit, but too much - over a few weeks/months - just is so unrealistic.
So yeah. Loved so much until the end. Which is just annoying disappointing.
I really disliked this one. The writing felt so poor. There were a lot of errors as I was reading it that made the flow of the book seem very choppy. The story, meh. Characters, meh. All so bland. I struggled to finish this one, it felt like it needed a lot more work before being published.
Jewel & Her Kings is the 4th book in Rosemary A Johns Pack Bonds series. It is an Omegaverse story focusing on Jewel, an orphaned Omega who was forced to become a "Companion", essentially unpaid slave labor, to a rich Alphas son. The story begins when Jewel is a teenager and continues as she gets older, focusing on the life she has with her "Guardian" Alpha, and her fellow Omega and Beta Companions.
We see how the relationships between the characters evolve and become so much deeper than originally intended, as well as the challenges that the characters face together and individually. Can this new pack work through abusive Alphas from the wealthy and powerful King family who work to stop their happiness as well as a legal system which classifies Companions as property, not people?
Jewel & Her Kings is a great addition to the Pack Bonds series. I really enjoyed the fact that one of the characters dealt with a disability, but never let it stop him from living. I love the idea of a very intelligent young woman who is fighting against multiple systems that are designed to keep her down. All of the characters in this story are courageous in their own way, and the reader gets to see different sides to the established dynamics of Alpha, Beta, and Omega. As with all of the books in this series, I appreciated the addition of characters from previous books as well as the introduction of new characters who will hopefully have their own stories.
I've been reading and enjoying this omegaverse series from the beginning, but somehow each book gets better and better. I really love how each book builds on the others, but someone could read it separately and still understand the story and the background. Great series!
Jewel and Her Kings brings a new problem to how some omegas and betas are treated in this society. Companions have no rights and are treated like property. It was crazy to think this could happen to any omega or beta if they were orphaned. I would think this would make alphas consider that this could happen to their own children, but too many only think about the power and money it could bring. I also like that the author brought in an omega that was abandoned because he was losing his eyesight. Another layer to the whole companion issue. Didi was fierce and so brave. I loved that him and Jewel protected and loved each for years. They made each other pack, even if it was illegal. Add in a sexy beta bodyguard and a sweet alpha, and you have an even better story. I can't wait to read about the Blades next.
A world where being an omega means you should be loved, cherished and protected. But if you are a orphan or reject you become property. To be sold traded and used. For Jewel she lost her parents in an accident and for Didier it means he was rejected by his family. Now they are companions and fear what their future will be. Can they find an alpha that will treat them well or will they be beaten and used? Their futures are always a fear of what will happen next. But between his sass and her determination they will always hope for a better future for them and others like them.
I love the love these two have for each other and those who accept them. They are so sweet and you can’t help but hope for them. The story has plenty of drama and heat.
I absolutely loved reading this and can't wait for the next. This is by a new arthur for me and I have to wonder why I haven't read any of her other book's, but I'll definitely be checking them out.
This was a different version of an Omegaverse story and I can't say that I was disappointed oh no this book had me all in my feel's. Jewel at young age lost her parent's and was put in the Companion facility sorta like an orphanage for Omega's where she meets Didier who's a blind Omega they become best friend's and become each other's protector through the "reconditioning" when one day their world is about to change when they meet the son of the King pack. This was so good. I couldn't put it down I wanted to see what was going to happen next. I can't wait for the next book in this series.
I enjoyed this addition to the Pack Bonds Omegaverse series. It had a different tone than the other books, which was sweet and unique. Focusing on the different kind of relationships not just pack bonds was a really interesting take on the characters. While we get some romance from Jewel and her men, I felt like the focus really was on the relationships more so than that side of it, which was what made it more of a sweet than spicy read for me. I liked seeing this different perspectives of the characters and I also thought it was interesting to focus a bit more on the past when they characters are younger. And with a cute HEA ending, readers will be satisfied. I can't wait for more in the series!
Orphaned Omega Jewel and abandoned Omega Didier find a friendship as well as love within together when they both have to survive living where they are. Its a genuinely sweet and at time funny dynamic that they had with each other. When they are accepted into the King Pack by Alpha Braxton they hope for a a loving pack to take care of them but their treatment there isn't anything like that. Still its the relationship Jewel & Didier had with Braxton & Matthew that was at the heart of this book. Didier was a sweetheart. Him & Jewel were the centre and the pack revolved & protected them especially with all of the abuse that was going on around them. Ive enjoyed reading the pack bonds series and this was a great addition to it.
Jewels & Her Kings is book four in the Pack Bonds Omegaverse Series by Rosemary Johns. We have met Jewel and Didier in a previous book. They are both Omegas living at the Companion House under not so great circumstances. Braxton comes in to pick out an Omega, he sees Jewel and Didier and decides they need to come home with him. Years later, Matthew comes to live at the King residence. Sweet love story. Some TW to watch out for. No bullying between Jewel and her guys. Lots of political intrigue. Steamy. I absolutely adore Didier. He is just a sweet Omega and he loves Jewel. Looking forward to Asher's book!
Great read loved Jewel and Didi and Mathew and Braxton ! It goes to show just because it seems someone has it all .. it doesn’t mean they truly have and a lot of scars are hidden not just by clothes but masks people can wear. A story of true courage, defiance and love ! All the books I’ve read in this series pack bonds I’ve really enjoyed, you can read just this book by itself but i recommend reading them all and form the beginning, beside them all being good reads it keeps the story going and links the characters together and you see how the resistance is going and how it’s growing. Can’t wait for Ashers story !
This is a standalone in the omegaverse. Jewel is an orphan, left at the companion center after her family dies in a car crash. In the center she meets Dieder, and he has also been abandoned by his family. They form a pack bond that is not aloud and can get them separated. Then in comes their savior and potential Alpha Braxton. At the King estate when get to meet the beta Matthew. All anyone wants is for love and pack to happen. But can they get the omega movement on their side. This was a super cute all the feels story.
This tale set in this wicked world of rebel Omega's, has a slightly darker feel then the previous books. Jewel is an orphan omega and therefore, only good enough to be a companion. This story of how this pack finally becomes the King pack is emotinally charged, full of the sweetest, most romantic moments that will make you swoon. With an epic climax and conclusion, you definitely wont leave unsatisfied! Definitely my favourite pack so far, all four main characters are just beautiful souls.
This is the fourth book in the Pack Bonds series. I was hooked right from the start and completely drawn in. I loved Jewel and the relationship she had with her men especially Didi. I loved how each guy was so different from each other and brought the perfect balance to their pack. And Croissant was such a great addition too. I'm looking forward to the next book in this series
Another great installment in the Pack Bonds Omegaverse series! Jewel and Didier, two omegas who have ended up as Companions to a powerful alpha, love each other and have fallen in love with their alpha despite it being against the law to form their own pack. There is lots of trauma and lots of drama, but there's a HEA at the end. Loved it!
Wow what a wild ride!! Loved the twists and turns!! I totally fell in love with the whole crew! Aww they were so cute and sweet and so broken. They allow went through so much pain and heartbreak and I absolutely held my breath! As will all books in this series I just couldn't put it down!! Cant wait for the next one!
This book is so sweet. I was hoping everything went alrigth from the begining because you can't just bit love them. Its so similar to real life that we just keep thinking it's going to end bad, but that's what I love about books we can have what we want! Such a good book.
This was so dang good and I highly recommend giving it a read or any book in the series, seriously each one has been amazing. Jewel and her men were wonderfully written. I enjoyed the ending especially.
Jewel is an orphan and her first heat is coming, the pack she wants is forbidden. Things are about to get worse when the alpha she loves is ordered to marry a wealthy omega or lose everything. Will he do it? Can she keep her love for him? How will she get on? See if her life gets better for ever
I love all the books of the pack bonds a omegaverse. This is quickly becoming one of my favorites. I will definitely be buying my own copy to reread in the future.
Loved Jewel and Didier, add a little bit of Braxton and Matthew for spice. And you have yourself a wonderful story about found family and hoping for the best when all seems bad.
Wow. Another amazing Installment of this series! Rebels til the end and forged alliances. You really couldn’t ask for a better story—and then you add passion and mystere! Worth every page!
What a great addition to the series. This book can be read as a standalone however there is crossover from other books. But Jewel and her protective nature of didier is incredible but finding the right alpha is everything and they do.
Jewel has been abandoned by the companion center after her parents die in a car accident. She meets another abandoned one by their family Dieder. These two form a pack which isn’t allowed and could get them both into trouble. Braxton sees these two and wants to take them home. And then we’ve got the beta Matthew. I loved these characters each one had such strength and yet were also flawed. I didn’t want to stop reading it and loved how they interacted with each other. Definitely love this world so much!
Jewel is an orphaned Omega trying to get by in the Companion House. She befriends another orphan, Didier and the two grow to become their own family. Enter Head Alpha King and son to snatch them up and drop them into King Hall. There is a time lapse here that moves us forward several years into young adulthood for the pair and Braxton, the King heir. Jewel and Didi have grown to love Braxton as their Alpha as he has been kind and generous to them. Braxton’s cousin and father has plans to get rid of the Rejected Omegas and replace them with someone more appealing, however Braxton has fallen for his Omegas too! Well written and epic plot to usurp the Head Alpha! Great read!
