This book doesn’t just toss a bunch of random methods on the table and “go to it”. Instead, you learn basic strategies with guidance on how, when, and where to use them. Along the way, you see how the beginning, middle, and end stages of puzzle solving differ. Both beginners and experienced puzzle solvers will find a fresh new system for attacking Sudoku puzzles.
The following is the top review that appeared on the Amazon site for the first edition of this book named "Sudoku Primer". ( Overall rating: 3.8 Stars.)
5.0 out of 5 stars "Sudoku Primer" is an extremely well-written book. Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on January 21, 2019 Verified Purchase In chapters 1 through 7 the author teaches us, step-by-step, a system "that functions quite well for solving most Sudoku puzzles." In chapter 8 he carefully teaches us, step-by-step, a refinement of that system he has found, by his own experience, to be more efficient. In chapter 10, he solves one Sudoku puzzle using his chapter 1-7 system and another using his chapter 8 refinement of that system, going through every step. I started out as a know-nothing about Sudoku, but after reading his book I am able to solve Sudoku puzzles of all difficulty levels. I rate the book especially highly in the clarity of its exposition and am pleased to have been taught the author's refined (chapter 8) system. -- Stephen A. Williams 7 people found this helpful.
