Veronica Jacobson has done what she swore she’d never do: she moved home. But, ever the rebel, she always saw podunk Pine Ridge as a prison. So now that she’s made a name for herself as a prominent tattoo artist in the big city, she is opening a shop in Pine Ridge. But the problem is, she doesn’t know why.

Simon Carpenter was living the idyllic small-town life until his wife left him. After letting his life fall into chaos for a year, he’s trying to keep his farm from going under. Now he’s left to wonder why everything fell apart even though his life was perfect. To add insult to injury, he learns Veronica’s tattoo shop is thriving in Pine Ridge.

Pine Ridge Chronicles, is a small-town romance series, inspired by Hallmark movies I watched before the holidays. My heroines grew up in this small town, Pine Ridge:

Evelyn tries to learn how to let go of her control-freak tendencies.

Olive, comes from a long line of small-town politicians and commitment to the family legacy.

Veronica ... she is my rebel. Against her parents’ will, she got tattoos, learned to ride a motorcycle, and refused to go to college.

Summer, she’s my laid-back girl, good with animals, and people often go to her for advice she feels completely unqualified to give. She’s fully convinced everything will work out in the end.

Amber is a successful author. She writes books for kids just old enough to start reading chapter books. Years of neglecting romantic endeavors for her career’s sake have finally gotten to her: now she can’t seem to write anything. If she could just get it out of her system somehow, she could go back to drafting kids’ stuff…

And of course, you'll get to also meet their HEROS!

I received a copy of this book for free, and I leave my review voluntarily.

Zoe Adams is an audacious author exploring the layered ups and downs of love. A passionate writer, she draws her inspiration from a variety of sources. Her admiration
for romance books, her understanding of human character, and her observing eye for exciting scenarios are a few of them. But above all, her greatest writing gift is her bold,
unapologetic love for love itself.

“I can only judge things based on my perspective. At least I can see where my biases are clouding my judgment.”

Veronica is back in her hometown; not entirely sure why, but she is excited to be running her tattoo shop. Simon is holding in a lot of hurt, and his intentions are mixed.

For a second, I was almost upset because I did not like Simon, and usually, Zoe writes such beautiful characters.

Obviously, Simon figured himself out, but it was a close call. I loved Veronica. She is fierce, bold, intelligent, talented, and confident. She was such a fantastic character.

I enjoyed that this was more emotionally driven and more about Simon than Veronica.

This is another book in the Pine Ridge Chronicles and is Veronica's story. A small town romance along the lines of a Hallmark movie. Veronica is the rebel of the bunch who likes tattoos and rides motorcycles. She always thought small town like in Pine Ridge was more like being in prison yet she's back home to open a tattoo shop. Simon is a divorced farmer who's not happy his sister is working at Veronicas shop. They're both a little hard to like at first as he's a controlling jerk and she doesn't like being back home. But eventually chemistry kicks in and they have a happy ending. Plenty of drama and some twists. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This is the third book in this series, and this is Simon and Veronica’s story. Simon is a divorced farmer, while Veronica is the rebel in her family, and she is a tattoo artist, who moved back to her hometown, which is something she never though she would do. Simon is not happy that his sister is working in Veronica’s tattoo shops, and they butt heads. This is a well written story which has emotions, drama, angst, twists, undeniable chemistry, and love, which leads to an entertaining, and sweet small-town romance.

Farmer Simon and tattoo artist Veronica are at odds over his sister Carrie working for her. Loved the characters varying viewpoints and how Veronica hit the nail on the head with his main issue. They join forces on a trip that changes everything in their lives. Backstories are revealed, and Simon wakes up to the fact that he has not listened or supported the ideas of those in his life. Twists, new understanding, new possibilities and more keep the pages turning right up to the ending.

Wow I don't think I have ever had a character rub me the wrong way the was Simon did with his narrow minded and selfish views. But the women in this book are amazing, strong and are not afraid to get what they want.

Veronica had a reputation in town when she was younger, and it appears not everyone can see that she is not the same. When Simon barges into her shop, he is not ashamed to voice his opinions.

Great enemies to friends story that is fast paced and electric.

So we're back in Pine Ridge and it's time for Veronica's story. After returning to her hometown to open her own tattoo parlor, she's still trying to figure out why she returned. Will she finally see it? Simon is a recently divorced man hung up on outside influences without dealing with his inner turmoils. Even though they argue, there's an underlying current that streams between them. Will they give in? Enjoy this short small town romance!.

Ok, truthfully both of the main characters kind of annoyed me for most of the book. She had a chip on her shoulder about her home town, and he was just kind of a jerk to everyone. They both came around to liking each other, but I would have liked to see more character development as to why. It was kind of abrupt. Overall though it was a quick read for me.

This story is filled with drama that drew me in and kept me engrossed in the story. Veronica returns to her hometown and opens a tattoo shop. She connects with Simon who is a farmer and has a chip on his shoulder. The story is a little off beat, but Veronica and Simon's characters bring everything into alignment with their personalities.

This is a short, fast paced story with with Veronica and Simon butting heads over his grown sister's life choices. She's sassy and he's controlling. The author brings emotion as she pulls the story together with a HEA and gets a date for Veronica to Cornelia's wedding. It's well written and is an enjoyable addition to the series.

This is the next book in the Pine Ridge Chronicles focusing on the motor cycling tattoo artist, Veronica, and Simon, the divorced farmer struggling to keep his farm financially afloat. The characters clash over Simon’s sister, Carrie, who is working in Veronica’s tattoo shop. Their story includes conflicts, twists, steamy chemistry, strong emotions, and finding your true self.

Veronica is the rebel of the family, but in the end, she manages to get her dream of being a tattooist.
Simon can’t understand how her little sister wants to work with Veronica. When she went lost, he couldn’t breathe with worry. Veronica helps him to look for her, but at the same time, she helps him understand what he did wrong with his ex-wife and his sister.
Short, and sweet.

Love reading a book where you are rooting on the characters to fall in love as they do everything they can do to resist. Interesting characters that are looking for love but don't realize they are. Good read.
