Can he save his childhood sweetheart from a loveless marriage? Or will he lose her forever?

Rooster

When Lou Reynolds walked into my auto shop, I couldn’t believe my eyes. Fifteen years later and she was just as gorgeous as the day I’d left her back home in Baton Rouge when we were lovestruck teenagers. It was a stupid mistake I thought I would regret to my dying day.

And yet, Lou is right here in my backyard. Things are different now. I have a thriving business and the support of my MC. I can offer her a better life than I could have ever provided before. Maybe this is a sign that I can have that second chance I’d always dreamed of.

But Lou has an unwanted husband who isn’t willing to let her go that easily. He belongs to a Baton Rouge MC charter and he’s ready to start a war to get his wife back if that’s what it takes.

Lou

I’ve always had a weak spot for bad boys with big bikes and plenty of tattoos. But I screwed up when I married Jed Pruitt, President of the Devil’s Disciples. Now I just want to escape our suffocating marriage.

When I cross paths with Rooster Boden, my love for him comes bubbling up to the surface all over again. He broke my heart years ago when he rode away on his motorcycle, leaving me in his rearview mirror. I should hate Rooster for abandoning me, but I find myself tumbling into his bed instead.

When Jed finds out, there’s going to be blood. Can Rooster and I find our happily ever after? Or were we always destined to be torn apart as the miles stretched between us?

***
Rooster is the fifth book in a series of short motorcycle club romance novellas, each featuring a member of the Alpha Riders MC gang. These men aren’t afraid to get their hands dirty when it comes to protecting the women they love! Each story can be read as a standalone book with NO cliffhangers and all the HEA you could hope for!

*This book contains themes of cheating. The FMC got married on a whim and now wants a divorce, but her husband refuses. If cheating is a sensitive topic for you, please skip this one! ❤️

3.5🌟

Novella length book, second chance (they were childhood sweethearts, they split when he ran away from his hometown), and they met again by a coincidence, while she was running from her as*hole husband that didn't want to sign the divorce papers.

Drama with her ex-husband to be, of course, which was the president of another MC club.

Loved that this book had an extra epilogue with their HEA.

!!! What annoys me is the fact that there are differences between the blurb and the actual book. In the blurb, it says that he saw her again after 15 years, in his auto shop, while in the book they see each other again after 12 years, in a gas station 🤷‍♀️. Someone should update the blurb to match the actual book's content!

I'm really curious about the next book since Mack is painted like a standard MC manh*e. 🫣

Charlie “Rooster” Boden is out riding one day when he stops for gas, twenty miles away from home. While he’s pumping gas a truck pulls up next to him and out jumps his childhood sweetheart, Lou Reynolds. Lou is on the run from her biker husband, Jedd Pruitt. Jedd is the President of the Devil Disciples MC. He takes Lou’s request for a divorce as a damning event that’ll lose his control over his club.

I loved Rooster and Lou’s story. Rooster’s a kind, thoughtful, quiet man, completely in love with Lou. And Lou is a firecracker! I loved her strength, her witt, and her willingness to flirt with Mack to make Rooster jealous lol.

This story had more action than previous novellas, and I enjoyed it.

Second Chance Romance

This was Is a second chance romance that had all the feels. Rooster had lost Lou a long time ago but seeing her now is the time for their second chance at having what they had lost. There is one little problem though…Lou is married and on the run from her husband. Who she is married to will throw another wrench into her lost love relationship.

This book had me from the start and I really loved the MC involvement in a great love story.

Alpha Riders MC biker Rooster (H) is surprised to randomly encounter his former girlfriend, Lou (h), at a gas station near his home. He can tell she’s running from something, which turns out to be her violent ex-husband who refuses to let her go. The heat is quickly rekindled between Rooster and Lou in this MC second chance quickie with a bit of steam and violence.

The one thing about Audrey Bell and this series is that it is never the same. Sure, you get the happy ending when all is said and done, but the road to get there constantly changes and keeps this series fresh.

This 5th installment follows Rooster, a southern boy who left Baton Rouge to find his place with a club that would actually accept him into their family and Lou, the girl he left behind 12 years ago to find his place in the world. After a chance reunion at a gas station right outside of Merry Field and with the undeniable attraction that still sizzles between the both of them, they begin on their journey of rediscovery and realization that sometimes when it is the right person, time and distance does nothing to stamp out the love that already existed.

One note about this book is there is a theme of cheating and it is from the very beginning. That is certainly a trigger warning in this book from the beginning and if that is something that may effect you, this may be a book that you would want to skip- these are all standalones anyway so despite the fact that the characters all make appearances in all of the stories, you won't be lost if you happen to not read this one. If you do choose to read this one though- the spice and chemistry between these two is outstanding and there right from the start (which is so different from her other stories). In the previous stories in this series, all of the MMC's have met the women they fall in love with by chance- none of them know those women at all. What makes Rooster's story so different and unique to this series is that he already knows Lou and has never stopped loving her from the day he left her in Baton Rouge- despite the fact that he wanted nothing more than to take her with him and has been beating himself up ever since for not doing so. That alone makes for such a different and unique love story to this series.

The other thing that I really love about this series is that despite violence that occurs to either the MMC or the FMC, the men don't necessarily resort to the same level of violence when they are attempting to defend the women they love. They tend to try to portray themselves above the violence they may exhibit and find more rational and legal ways to solve their issues. They also rely heavily on each other to help out when trouble arises and with the help that tends to keep the MMC on the straight and narrow which I think is so great to see.

Another fast read that I could not put down. Waiting for the next installment in this series is going to be so hard but so worth it when it is here!

*spoilers* Rooster left Lou behind in Louisiana twelve years ago. Life moved on but they never really forgot about each other. Lou married the wrong man Jed, always having a soft heart for bad boys and Rooster joined another MC. They meet at a gas station, when Lou tries to get away from her husband who refuses to divorce her. Sparks are immediately flying between them and there is no hate left for the past, but Lou does not want to get Rooster into her troubles, but he is detemined not to make the same mistakes and not take the chance. But Jed, president of another MC club, is not ready to give up Lou. He is the president of the MC which rejected Rooster membership as a teenager and the reason he left.
For the length of the story the characters are intriguing and the heat is high. I felt with them and the story is captivating. I enjoyed the interaction between Lou and Rooster and liked them both. Rooster knows that he made a mistake leaving his sweetheart behind all these years ago and has his heart set on not wasting giving this second chance out of the blue. Lou has a sharp tongue but a lot of love and so happy for Rooster that he found the family with his MC he was looking for. How Rooster cared and felt for her when she was injured brought tears to my eyes. The end was so fitting for them.

Rooster and Lou had a history one that ended with him leaving town when he wasn't accepted in the MC back home. They reconnect when Lou finds herself on the run from a husband who won't sign divorce papers feeing her of a marriage that should not have happened. When mishaps happen and Lou is in danger will Rooster and his MC brothers come to her rescue. This story kept me caught up in their drama cheering for her and Rooster to get a second chance for happiness.

This one started out a little boring to me but it quickly got better and I was hooked. Lou runs into Rooster at the gas station and they were childhood sweethearts. Rooster left and according to Lou he stole her heart. Lou got married to a horrible man and was on the run. These novellas all kind of follow a similar storyline when it comes to the FMC’s ex. I thought Rooster and Lou were super cute and I loved how he got so growly when the guys in his MC would flirt with Lou. I’m seriously loving this series so much!

The chemistry between Rooster and Lou is instant and it sucks you right in. Drama ensues with the arrival of a jilted husband. When tempers and bullets start flying it's a guessing game, will Lou go back to Jed or will she end up in the loving arms of her first true love. Great read that is hard to put down.

When Rooster ran into Lou, he knew what he had been missing. When he left her in Baton Rogue, it was the biggest mistake of his life. When a call brings him to her again, her tires are slashed, he finds out she is married and he will not give her a divorce.

Rooster is determined to help her out and claim his girl like he should have fifteen years ago.

When an old love walks back into his life, Rooster knows he will not let her go again. Lou's heart was broken when Rooster left twelve years ago. A drunken night and a bad decision have her desperately trying to escape her choices.

Rooster and Lou's second chance story is riddle with danger, heat and passion. I love the connection between them and the feelings and desire as they right the past.

Lou is the one who got away. Will they finally get to be together or will her ex cause too many problems? Expect lots of suspense, passion, friendship, chosen family, laughter, love and more throughout. Enjoy!.

★ “Are you ready to do some damage?” ★

—>>> Drawn to the bad-boy persona all her life, she never forgot the one boy from her youth who had left the biggest impression, and who had left her far behind. When a chance meeting with Rooster brings everything full circle, they may have a second chance, if they could only deal with the husband who is hunting for her…

Good MC read- sweet, sexy, good club action to defend one of their own.

Rooster & Lou's Story

Loved the MC brotherhood strength and unity in helping Rooster and Lou work out their problems. Lou initially came off as a rather forward, spoiled flirt, and Rooster's character wasn't as well defined as previous stories. Was really pleased when her soon-to-be ex, as President of the MC from Rooster and Lou's hometown, was ousted by his chapter. The last portion of this story was rather redeeming.

First Love ~

Sigh… I loved reading this story. Get the Bonus Scene, and what a scene it was. It wasn’t all sunshine and roses. There was also bullets and blood, and huge decisions that had to be made. But, love won out in the end.
