You can't outrun your demons, but you sure as hell can give them a run for their money.
My life has never been normal. Raised by a survivalist, taught how to endure anything, I've learned to rely on myself. To keep my head down-- to mind my own business. That all changes in an instant when I hear the screams.
There, in that filthy alley, I thought I was pulling Emmeline out of the darkness and toward safety, but it turns out, she was pulling me in. My new friend's world collides with my own, and they couldn't be more different. Where I spend my days alone, she rarely can. Not with four brooding brothers hellbent on her protection, watching over her every move like dark guardians.
Guardians that set their sights on me, who want to claim me as their own.
Theirs is a world of violence and bloodshed, of teeth and fangs. Monsters lurk in the shadows, just waiting for their chance to strike. A sane person would be terrified, but even as danger closes in around us, I know without a shadow of a doubt that they’re bigger threats than the ones they tell me I should fear. After all, it isn't the creature in our chests that makes us less than human; it's us.
We're monsters whether or not we ever set ours free.
**This omnibus contains all four books in the Thrown to the Wolves Pack Promised, Pack Poisoned, Pack Punished, and Pack Possessed, and isa darker themed paranormal romance where the heroine loves all of her men. It contains graphic details, so please read the note in the beginning of the book before choosing to read.**
This collection contains all 4 books: Pack Promised, Pack Poisoned, Pack Punished, and Pack Possessed, ALL IN ONE! I really enjoyed this series, full of action, Omegaverse drama, steam, politics, hot wolves, and an HEA.
Pack Promised--⭐⭐⭐⭐/5
Sabrina was living an average and boring life. On the way home from work, she stops an assault from happening to a stranger. This random act of kindness leads Sabrina into a world she never knew existed.
Seriously, everything J. Kearston writes is sooo good. Everything flowed so well. Sabrina was such a badass, even though most of the book she was an ordinary person. She was so relatable and really connected with her. I love the guys and Emmy so much too. It was sort of slow building but it definitely had the tension that kept me entertained. And that cliffhanger, I can't wait to see what happens next!
Pack Poisoned--⭐⭐⭐⭐/5 "I’ve gone from nobody wanting me, to way too many. I’d like to go back to being invisible now, please".
Pack Poisoned is book 2 of Thrown to the wolves series. Sabrina comes to terms that she was different than she grew up to be. When she finally found comfort in a place she called home, she is suddenly thrown into another loop.
OMFG! seriously though, J. Kearston always seems to knock it out of the park with her writing. As always, it was a complete page turner and takes you on an action packed ride! Sabrina is such an amazing character. You have drama, super hot steamy scenes, hot possessive mates, twist and turns, and a cliffybthat will leave you wanting more. Definitely, can't wait until the next one!
Pack Punished--⭐⭐⭐⭐/5 Pack Punished is the third book in the Thrown to the wolves series. After dealing with the aftermath of book 2, things are mentally (and physically) spiralling out of control for Sabrina. Not only that, a new evil lurks, as well as more battles and challenges head their way.
I love this series so much. This has to me the most emotional book in this series. While there may be a little less action than previous books, it was complex and their bond is **chef's kiss**. It's also not a J Kearston story without that comic relief and hot, smexy times to balance it out. It is such an enjoyable read.
Pack Possessed--⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐/5 Pack Possessed is the fourth and final book in the Thrown to the Wolves series and let me tell you it did NOT let me down. I absolutely adore J. Kearston and her writing style. This was absolutely NO exception. We have action, twists and turns, steamy as hell scenes with Sabrina's seven guys, a little bit of a complicated situation, but for me, it was easy to follow, finally get some answers that I've been so waiting for, and a villain that I can't help but to like. This was such a wonderful conclusion to Sabrina's story. Not gonna lie, I'm so eager to see what J. Kearston thinks of next!!
I love when my favorite books go out in boxsets! I love the fact that i can read the whole story in one sit. I had the pleasure of reading the books as the came out and now i can enjoy them again in a boxset. The story is freaking awesome with enough twists and turns that will make your head spin! The emotional rollercoaster will leave you feeling like you went through the meat grinder and when you get to the last page you will feel that it was sooooo worth it!
Why do boxsets have better cover than the individual books? This cover is gorgeous, and now I can't avoid being pulled into the story once more.
A collection of all the four books in the series, it tells the story of Sabrina, a human—maybe. When she discover a world full of monsters, she's inexplicably drawn in, and not just because of the 4 brooding men who happen to be her friend's brothers. While she tries to navigate this new world, Sabrina learns that there is more to her past that was hidden from her, and she might not be fully human after all.
I was thrilled to see this story presented as a box set. There great characters who is well written. Her wolves are complex and protective. The story is nuanced with an engaging plot. The villain is believable. Overall a good series.
#1 Pack Promised Emmy and Sabrina won me over immediately. Loved the cab driver immediately. Love when the characters start off well written and enjoyable. The shifter lore is interesting. Only changing at night? Having to have a mate to continue? Wow wow wow! We spent so much time worrying about Sabrina coming to terms, which made sense in the long run but she took everything else in the book in stride it didn’t make sense that she was so deeply troubled about being married to Cin and Bo. Besides that, a delightful book.
4 stars
#2 Pack Poisoned Picking up immediately where book 1 ended and going full throttle. Is this new mates?! “Ignore us when we say everything’s fine, because we only know how to tread water, not how to ask for help to keep us from drowning.” So good. I don’t appreciate the weird flip in Reid. Reid hiding evidence for Hunter and Damian from Sabrina 👀 oh my god!! I feel like this book laid a lot of groundwork. I wish there had been more Emmy, she did kinda start this whole thing. I’m not sure why their last stand was at this specific pack house. WHY DIDN’T ANYONE QUESTION JONATHAN?! So much happens but also kinda nothing happens. We learn more about the characters and kinda the dynamic but it seems like it’ll all make more sense in the upcoming books. Confusing ending but still good.
4 stars
#3 Pack Punished So it was Pack Alodia that sl@ughtered Pack Hawthorne (except the 5 kids), now that makes sense why they were the last stand. An eye for an eye and all that. I’m not sure the backstory of the other characters is making any sense. I fear it’ll be convoluted until we know everything at the end. So far this book is very confusing. The story continued and it was good. But it feels like there are whole sections missing or that the reader should know as much as the characters and that’s not happening. They elude to something and then never come back to address it. I feel like I’m playing catch up but nothings been dropped for me to pick up. I did enjoy them being on the road and then moving into a new part of the story even if there are still loose ends. This mom is a real piece of work and even when you think she might have tried to do something good, you realize she didn’t. Either they’re switching names or not making full decisions. In the pool, they said Kaige was the leader and now in the hotel room they’re saying it’s Hunter. Who is it?! If she’s an abomination that shouldn’t be born?? Why does she live, Annika?? I don’t understand why suddenly their wolves or hellhounds can talk to them but no one has acknowledged though this is brand new to this book. ??? If she looks as much like Annika as she does, why are these people being so effusive about it where Adrian made it seem like a passing glance resemblance? What is going on with Acheron Wilder and this dang mountain?! Are The Slaughters good or bad?? This conversation with Xander about Sabrina’s parentage and history DOESNT MAKE ANY SENSE!! Why call Sabrina, Aurelia at the end? The demon thing is obvious.
3 stars
#4 Pack Possessed Like… are they demons? Are their souls reborn from demons? Are they actual wolves? Why can she make her mates hellhounds? DID THIS STORY GO OFF THE RAILS? So Annika is her sister? Not her mother? “‘You’re going to help me fix your mistake, and set all of the demons you betrayed free.’ Not wolves, demons. It makes a horrific sort of poetic sense, but I don’t have time to delve into it right now.” What is even going on?! … is Ash a demon?? Does he just have special powers too?! “Between being the reason my parents are dead, Annika really being my sister, shifters being demon possessed humans, and the unkillable monster smiling in front of me?” Like … so succinct after that weird cluster of a book. Starting immediately with the folklore from Ash about the demon/wolves was a choice because what is even going on?? Xander is also… a demon?! HOW DOES THAT MAKE ANY SENSE?! So Xander and Acheron’s hosts are gone and they’re just themselves, but if that’s the case- why haven’t their bodies deteriorated? How was Ash able to bring back Aurelia? What is the endgame?? “There’s so much demonic energy in your bodies, it twisted your wolves to accommodate it, just like ours.” So were they wolves before they mated and somehow became hellhounds?? Or were they always hellhounds, she just released them? The chapter from Aurelia’s POV in the past, just lead to more questions, and answers were not readily available. “So I amassed as much demonic energy as I could to piece you back together from the aether.” Like I get that’s how Aurelia was reborn - but I’m not sure it actually makes any sense. Chapter 15 is just a cluster.
3 stars
Overall, should be 3.5 stars. The best part of the fourth book was the epilogue. The ending with Ash and the demons were rushed and it didn’t make sense. The secluded island in the epilogue didn’t make sense. There was a conclusion but it wasn’t explained. Just ended.
The characters were great however.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
This book is full of back-stabbing, pack politics, twists and turns. It is multi-POV and gives you a great insight into all the main characters. The series did not go the way I was expecting, and it will keep you on your toes. If you don't have a great memory, I would suggest keeping a note pad close as there are a ton of names and packs to keep track of.
#1 Pack Promised Sabrina is used to being alone, only ever relying on herself. When she saves Emmy one night, she is pulled into the Hawthorn family - and all of their secrets start to be revealed. I loved Sabrina, the way she rationalised everything that was going on, she took the time to work through the information to make her decisions rather than rely on her emotions - it was refreshing. I loved the way her mind worked, connecting all the dots.
#2 Pack Poisoned So we now know that Sabrina was never just a human after all and also why her mother may have been hiding all these years. So you need to read this book carefully, no skipping or scan reading as there is so much going on and some of it is only hinted at - so pay attention. I still feel like I'm missing stuff, but hopefully, that's intentional and we'll find out more in the next book. There is so much backstabbing going on that Sabrina and the guys don't get a moment to relax. She's gone from being all alone to being surrounded in just a few short weeks. I enjoyed the interactions with the guys as they were all really different and all trying hard to keep her happy and safe, but I like that it doesn't always go to plan. With Sabrina, I had a little bit of tug and war with, she just never seemed to ever be wrong and always knew the right thing to say and instinctively knowing how to deal with certain things - but she was still easy to like. I have a feeling that lots of things are going to start to unravel.
#3 Pack Punished Well....erm....that was a bit of a brain melt. I feel like I've absorbed a lot of information and haven't quite processed it properly yet. So many names and packs that I've had to make notes as I've totally lost track of who belongs to who and to which pack. There is so much going on and all the twists and turns just weave into each other. Just when you think you know what's going on, something comes out of the blue. I love Sabrina's character, she maintained her quirky outlook and doesn't concede to the guys at all, but she also doesn't lord it over them either. The guys are trying so hard but nothing seems to go right for very long, they are starting to learn how to work as a team, but there are so many things going on that they don't always get it right. Sabrina also has a habit of long monologues or long conversations with the guys so everything is explained. I'm enjoying this series because it doesn't follow the usual shifter path, not all shifters are the same and everyone is out for themselves. Now that last chapter...really opened up a whole new bag of worms!
#4 Pack Possesed This is the final book in the series. Sabrina and her mates are left trying to figure out how to thwart Ash, once they manage to find out what his plan actually is. This final book feels like a million miles from book 1 and certainly not where I thought the series would end up when I started. Sabrina gets plenty of alone time with her 7 mate's, and the guys all finally figure out how to get along. I did love the way Sabrina and the guys interacted, I think J has a real talent with character interactions, I always feel like they really know each other through their banter. I also enjoyed how not everything went their way and that there were a few 'bumps' in the road, made for a much better read and showed how they came together to work as a team. The ending....after all the action, danger, violence and deaths, was very sweet and calm.
After reading the series individually, this is my review for each book in the series with an overall rating of the series.
Pack Promised Sabrina lives a normal, boring life until one night she comes across a woman being assaulted by a man. Saving her, Sabrina makes a new friend in Emmy and now finds herself a new world that she could have expected...one that includes Emmy's brothers.
This book exceeded any expectations I had. It was everything the author advertised and more. Sabrina is a normal woman trying to make it in the world. She doesn't want hand outs and isn't out for money, which was so refreshing to read. She wasn't super strong and when she confronted the guy assaulting Emmy, she used mace and ran. That was 100% the most believable thing I've ever read in a fantasy book.
The men in the book are all very different and bring something unique to Sabrina's life. The book does end in a cliffhanger, and it made the anticipation for book 2 that much more intense!
Overall rating 4.5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 2 🌶 🌶
Pack Poisoned Pack Poisoned picks up immediately after Pack Promised and we are back with threw new characters. Sabrina is finally getting used to pack laws and politics until everything gets flipped again. Secrets and surprises happen and Sabrina may be the one no one expected.
Book two in the series was more emotional than book one. Some of the members arent coping well with the changes that are happening, and it creates tension and an emotional rollercoaster for the readers.
We still get great steamy scenes and with it being a RH group, the scenes are far more interesting. I loved Sabrina's connection with her men and how they work together in and out of the bedroom.
Overall rating 4.5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 3.5 🌶🌶🌶
Pack Punished The problems continue to pile up for Sabrina as her world slowly falls apart.
Pack Punished continues directly after book two with the results of the attack on the Alodia pack. This book contains more of an emotional story unlike the previous two books. We're seeing the pack's lives beginning to fall apart and them trying to rebuild relationships and forge new ones.
This book caused the series to plateau for me. From book two to three it felt like everything kind of dropped off as the pack worked on doing their own thing. The story wasn't as interesting as the previous books, so I'm hoping the final book will pick back up and end the series on a high note.
Overall rating 4 ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ 2.5 🌶🌶
Pack Possessed The conclusion to the Thrown to the Wolves series packs a punch with its final book. The man who has orchestrated the chaos that is Sabrina's life has been revealed and his plan has been set into motion to raise Hell. Now she needs to figure out how to save not only her mates, but everyone else too.
I'm going to start off by saying the last two books made me feel like the series was going in a downward spiral. Stories were becoming repetitive and less interesting as time went one. But with this final book, I feel like the author finally amped up the action and gave us a great story to end the series.
I loved the backstory that we have for the shifters, and I love Ash, despite his maniacal, devil self. I know he's the villain, but the man had a genius plan that he was executing very well. I would say had we not needed an HEA, and for Sabrina to overcome her villain, he would have accomplished what he wanted.
Despite how much I feel like the author amped this final book up, they still didn't fix the dragging issue in the middle. Since book two, the beginning and ending are great, but the middle of the book seems to drag on and become tedious to read.
Overall rating 3.5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️ 2 🌶 🌶
Overall rating for the series 4 ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ 2.5 🌶🌶
Putting this here as a bookmark till I finish the series.
Btw, no one who has ever suffered a depression episode should ever read this book. Ever. It's 1 massive mental health trigger. Just stay away. Trust me.
1) Sabrina is alone. She always has been, so this isn't new. But rescuing the woman who becomes her new friend brings dangers. Danger like her 4 brothers, navigating friendship, and major political drama involving her friend's future marriage.
2) Sabrina has more mates than common sense it seems. And potentials waiting in the wings, as well. Pack Hawthorne is in the crosshairs of every other pack. So the stress? Astronomical. It's a good thing her horrible mother taught her to plan 5 steps ahead.
3) Tapping out. I can't take it anymore. This is the most jumbled, tangent taking, choppy, miserable mess. Everyone is reveling in their depression, hatred and misery. No one wants to fight for happiness. There's absolutely no romance, love or joy. No bonding, except in misery. 80% through and there's absolutely nothing, nothing kind I can say about this. Even the editing is deplorable. I'm done. There's really nothing that keeps my interest in finding out the ending. Because it's been nothing but "I must be strong even though I'm miserable, because the other strong but miserable people need me". That's the whole plot so far. And that's literally every one of the 8's mindsets. For 80% of a book. Ugh. Why would people 2ant to read a book about miserable people? We get enough of that in real life, thank you.
Spoilers ahead. 1) Ok, so not a bad start. The human woman holds her own. Until that gets explained and I was upset because I was hoping for it not to follow the tropes. For the human to be able to be strong on her own and level the playing field in the war of wolves. Lots of angst. Lots of drama. And no warnings for an attempted assault and an exhibition scene where they let their guard down in a way that really doesn't seem safe when trying to protect 2 women against an entire house (read mansion) full of angry wolves competing. No matter how strong, unless magic somehow gets involved, 2 men can't hold off almost 100. So, major duh, for a very TSTL scene. 2) I'm not exactly sure where this train is headed. Unusual shifts but no researching into why. Some strange drug, but again no researching into why/what. There's things going on in the background but they're only hinted at so vaguely they're instantly forgotten. I'm sure there's a plot but it's so buried I've no clue anymore. It's just random explosions, "do I shift or don't I" drama, "oh, look, another mate" angst, and an odd torture scene of revenge that doesn't bring any resolution. If there's a point beyond bedroom scenes I have no clue what it is. At this point I'm just trying to figure out if there's ever going to be any world building done and whay exactly happened with her parents. And if Noah was even her biological father or not. But without something getting exciting here soon, I'll probably abandon the series. 3) Abandonment commenced. See 3 above.
WOW! I am loving this book. It has so much drama, action, suspense, with a bit of mystery. It is intriguing and keeps you glued to it. Sabrina Is one feisty and strong lady. She speaks her mind and also shows she cares. I love Slade, Bo, Cin, and Reid are magnificent. They have all these protective qualities with the ones they love. Their personalities are stunning and felt throughout the story. It is extremely well written and developed. That ending though has thrown me for a loop and blew my mind. It is definitely a must read and doesn’t disappoint.
Pack Poison
Oh my! This book and series is one that has you on the edge of your seat with anticipation. It is jammed packed with action, drama, suspense, and even a bit of mystery. It has some sexy hot scenes that just add to the story. It is never ending for Sabrina and the guys. We get to see more of the three guys that came into the picture at the end of the first book. Let me say that in a way I am jealous of Sabrina. But boy is there drama to deal with. The story is extremely well written and developed. I love the uniqueness of the story and how it plays out. This is one series that you absolutely must read as it will grab you in and keep you glued to it.
Pack Punished
I absolutely love this series. This one gave us a ton of insight on Sabrina and her mates. It is packed full of drama, suspense, mystery, and fun at different times. The guys are growing as is Sabrina and they are coming together as a cohesive pack. The addition of some new characters adds so much to the story. The descriptions are vivid. They all me to easily picture what is happening throughout the story. I was absolutely not wanting this one to end. It is a stunning series that draws you in and doesn’t let go. It is extremely well written and developed. The major cliffhanger at the end of the story had me sitting there in shock. I couldn’t move as it blew me out of the water because it was so Intense. I absolutely can’t wait to see what happens next. A must read!!!!!!
Pack Possessed
Oh Wow! This final book of Sabrina and her guys was absolutely magnificent. This book has so much drama, suspense, and action. It had me on the edge of my seat where I couldn’t put it down. We learn so much to questions that have plagued us since the beginning. I love the tidbits of humor at times as it added that little bit of an extra element to the story.
The story is extremely well written and developed. I love J. Kearston’s writing as it always pulls you deep in the story. You feel as if you are directly part of the story. The descriptions are radiant and that allows you to easily picture what is occurring throughout the story. This entire series is an absolute must read and it will not disappoint.
Wow, this was a great series, there are so many twists and turns, lots of pack politics, and unexpected things happening. The author J. Kearston did an amazing job rounding everything up in the end even if I did wonder for a hot second how she was going to manage it.
Pack Promised #1
The title for this series is perfect for this story, the FMC, Sabrina is literally thrown into the wolves. One minute she's a human just minding her own business on a jog and the next minute she is thrust into the world of wolves, packs and so much more. It's an interesting new series, with intriguing characters and a world that I want to know so much more about. I absolutely love the sass from not only Sabrina but Emmy as well. Throw in some hot guys and it's bound to be a fun time.
Looking forward to the next book in the series.
Pack Poisoned #2
Pack Poisoned starts off where book one ended and there's a lot of action going on. Sabrina is having to deal with so much in this book including her wolf awakening and the bonds between her and her mates. Lots of twists and turns along the way and then there's that cliffhanger ending. We get to meet some new characters with Damien, Hunter, and Kaige and get to find out how exactly they fit into the pack dynamic.
Can't wait to see where this story goes in book three.
Pack Punished #3
So much action, drama and steam in this book. Sabrina has a lot of mates, or soon-to-be mates and all I can say is she is one lucky girl. There are also new complications brought forward when it comes to her mother and her fathers. It's an interesting read and a great addition to the series. There are plenty of plot twists and it's certainly a rollercoaster ride from the first to the last page. Can't wait for the next one.
Pack Possessed #4
Sabrina and her mates have been through a lot since book one of the Thrown to the Wolves series, and book four is no different. Ash wants her for his own reasons, and she can't trust them but it seems her whole life has been orchestrated for her by a conductor she hates. There are so many twists and turns along the way in this story that Sabrina and her mates are in for one hell of a rollercoaster ride.
As the book neared the end I wondered how the author, J Kearston was going to be able to round everything up in such a small amount of pages, but honestly, she cracked it. The whole series has been interesting from start to finish and kept me turning the pages and things didn't happen exactly how I thought they would which left me wondering just how things could end. I really do enjoy J Kearston's work and she is an author I will happily read time and time again.
I am in love with the cover artwork of the boxset for the Thrown to the Wolves series. This is a fantastic series and I hope everyone else enjoys it as much as I did!
Pack Promised: This is my first book I’ve read by J. Kearston and I’m off to download more! The character and world building in this book is amazing. I’m obsessed with Sabrina. She’s such a strong, independent yet relatable FMC. Her new found friendship with Emmy is so complex and well written that I feel like I know them personally. The introduction to her mates is “chefs kiss” and her connection to them is nothing short of hot! The suspense and drama throughout the entire book kept me wanting more and I finished the novel in one sitting.
Pack Poisoned: Pack Poisoned is book two in the Thrown to the Wolves series by J. Kearston. The book picks up right where book one ended with the FMC, Sabrina and her men and boy does it jump right in to the action! I’m obsessed with the introduction of new characters and the depth of all the characters. I get tired of reading about instalove and the real and angsty relationships in the story make the story more real. It is an absolute page turner and just a warning, the cliffy in this book is super intense (waaayyyy worse than book one) so prepare yourself now! This was a great read that I couldn’t put down!
Pack Punished: Pack Punished is book three in the Thrown to the Wolves series by J. Kearston. It picks up right where book two ended with Sabrina and her pack cleaning up the hot mess left after the battle. I love how this book really dove into each character and I really connected on a personal level with them. The steamy scenes were hot, the comedy was fun and made me laugh and the trauma was heart wrenching. And I expected a cliffie at the end, but the ending was not at all what I was expecting!! I devoured this book in one sitting and I cannot wait to continue the series!
Pack Possessed: Pack Possessed is the final book in J. Kearston’s Thrown to the Wolves series. Not going to lie, I’m sad to see the series come to an end though what an ending! The character building has been phenomenal during the entire series and even with everything we already knew about Sabrina and her guys, the backstory was freaking mind blowing. The origin story was so well done and I was never once tempted to “skim” over that part. And I’m not sure what is says about me, but I loved Ash in this book, he’s such a fantastic villain. The book ended with such a wonderful HEA and the hints of more books in the same world have me excited because I’m not ready to give it up! Well done on finishing this fun series!
* Pack Promised (Thrown to the Wolves # 1) Wickedly good! A wicked new series from J Kearston! I read this in just one day 😁 In a world where female wolves are dying they become treasured possessions to be fought over…not that our FMC has anyyyy idea of this until she saves Emmy from an attack. Although Sabrina assumes she’s just saving your average lass from any old a%$. This leads to her meeting Emmys four brothers - all of whom are instantly attracted to and possessive of Sabrina 😍 Poor Slade has the weight of the world on his shoulders and just wants to protect his family; Bo our beta is all love but needs some direction as to how to handle his self; twins Cin and Reid could not be more different but each bring something - a little sweet and little sparky to the harem! Sabrina begins to open up about her traumatic past - plenty of emotional abuse and they really connect! But after some HAWT scenes they have to drop the bombshell that she and they are not what they seem…. Along with the fight for women there’s a darkness to their connection with their wolves- could this put Sabrina in danger?! Can’t wait to see where this series goes 😃
* Pack Poisoned (Thrown to the Wolves # 2) Tense Moments 😬 This second book picks up straight after the first one and throws you right into the thick of it! Sabrina as always deals with it with a level-headedness and practicality to be admirable of 😃 Sabrina’s become a prized possession and everybody is coming out of the woodworks to get her - some with good intentions and some definitely shady! With the Hawthorne pack struggling to survive they have to consider all possibilities to protect their mate aswell as Emmy and her guys 😖 including wrangling their almost/sort of wolves….. Each of her harem brings out something different in Sabrina and helps her balance the warring emotions she’s feeling with everything! I love how realistic the relationships are aswell it’s not all fated mates instantly sunshine and roses - there’s angst, arguments and tears but some real sweet moments and real connections aswell 😍 It’s fast paced with some real twists and turns including that bombdrop right at the end!!
* Pack Punished (Thrown to the Wolves # 3) Murder Mountain 🐺 This third instalment of the series really focuses on the relationships between Sabrina and her wolfy hellhounds as well as the relationships between all of them! There’s some serious growth for a lot of them …. particularly the twins and Hunter 😁 it’s not all plain sailing for them especially as they begin to merge as one pack behind Sabrina but they’re definitely beginning to get through the worst of themselves to be better beasts for their mate 😍 there’s some great team building exercises- particularly the pool scene and definitely in the bedroom 🔥 The trip to murder mountain is fraught with tension as Sabrina goes to meet her dads who she suspects may have something to do with the whole wolf inducing serum: however they are beetroot not what she suspected at all, and throws even more doubt into Annika! 😬 Determined to destroy Acherons’s hold over her mates and the packs Sabrina keeps challenging and everything she thought she knew soon begins to unravel….. Kearston pulls of another info bomb that leaves you rattled!! Interesting to see where that takes the story!
* Pack Possessed (Thrown to the Wolves # 4) Fantastic finale! When I first set out reading this series this not what or where I expected or even anticipated where this story would go….and it’s all the better! These are no ordinary wolf shifters and after finding out snippets of the truth from both Ash and Aurelia (Sabrina’s sort-of wolf) Sabrina has some seriously touch decisions to make for the shifter community and the humans 😩 Thankfully she has her harem around her to support her now that they are finally getting over their issues with each other (I’m looking at you Damien and Reid 🙄) moreover her ‘dads’ are in her coroner, despite her lack of filter or etiquette 😅, and show her that family really can stick around 😊 There’s not quite as many steamy scenes in this one but there is a ton of action and it is a quickly paced book with plenty going on to keep you reading! Can Sabrina and her harem finally break this curse between the wolves and their human counterparts or are the continuous revelations going to finally prove to much?! A solid finale to this series that provides a different take on shifter lore! 😃
Pack Promised - Loving where this story is going. The first in the series and it will lead you on a ride that at times is sweet and romantic and sometimes dangerous. Sabrina is our heroine and most of the story is from her view but it does switch to the men as well. Sabrina is sweet and is willing to risk her life for a stranger. One jog will lead her to a best friend, Emme. But Emme’s four brothers will take her breath away. The story is filled with action from the start and the romance builds throughout. I can’t wait to see what danger and revelations the next book will bring.
Pack Poisoned - Wow! The author has taken me on one hell of a rollercoaster ride. Everything is a twist you would never expect. By the end you will be totally amazed and needing the next book. Filled with primal wolves that sometime are more animal than men. Sabrina will astound you with what she is able to handle and still have more thrown at her. Nothing will be easy for her or her men. Death and danger follows them everywhere. And the heat only seams to increase. Expect anything and everything.
Pack Punished - The third book in a very intense series. This story has so much happening and a depth that never seems to end. You definitely need a quiet and comfortable spot to read this one. With so much happening you will find yourself rereading parts. This is not the final book. We do get so many answers but so many more questions. The twists at the end will have your mind spinning. Sabrina is stronger than all the packs combined. She takes on so much pain to help others when all she wants to do is curl up and sleep. Her men will be there for her every second but they can’t protect her from everything.
Pack Possessed - The last book of the series. All your questions and more will be answered. So the plot gets pretty deep as things are explained. I will admit that even now I keep mixing up all the men in the book. Between her mates, her fathers and others there are a lot of men. I really loved how the ending goes though. The whole story has plenty of danger. Things do heat up at times but it is definitely not a constant as the danger keeps getting in the way.
Book 1 Pack Promised~ Such a refreshing look at a shifter reverse harem story. J. Kearston built a cohesive world where all the characters brought something different to the book. Sabrina saves Emmy from being attacked, as a human woman she had no fear in coming to the rescue. Emmy and her brothers are truly grateful to her but Bo, Reid, Slade and Cin all realize that Sabrina is their missing piece. She will change their life but there are secrets that are being held and once shared they will implode amongst them. Can Sabrina overcome the hurt feelings and realize what she has before it’s taken away. This did end in a cliffhanger but luckily the next book will be out soon.
Book 2 Pack Poisoned~ Fighting to survive. Fighting for her mates. Fighting for all her packs future. Sabrina is faced with obstacles of becoming what she’s always been. A wolf. She has to struggle to hold off her change until it’s time. Decisions and choices are made to keep the pack alive. Will the pack be lost? Can Sabrina control her wolf? This ends in a major cliffhanger so we will find out more in the next book.
Book 3 Pack Punished~ How much more is Sabrina going to be able to take? After the last book we were left with a big shocker and the story picks up right where it left off. Through many obstacles this group grows closer everyday. They face everything that comes their way. Their decisions may cause some friction but they are all in this together. After all the lies Sabrina wants to start with a clean slate for her and all her mates. Sabrina’s other half is laying in wait for most of this book and she is terrifying. We get some answers in this 3rd book of the series but we also get left with a cliffhanger. Can not wait for the conclusion in the next book!
Book 4 Pack Possessed~ Finally reaching the final book of Thrown to the Wolves series I had high hopes for this conclusion. We finally get some answers and more backstory on Sabrina’s wolf. We understand why Ash is the villian. Lots of twists and turns in this one. Makes for a rollercoaster ride of emotions and a page turning read.
Get ready to binge read this fantastic series in the Thrown to the Wolves Complete Collection!
Pack Promised
When Sabrina's best friend's brothers fall for her hard, what is a girl to do? Sabrina is pulled into Emmy and her brother's shifter world, and discovers all that their life entails. This was a very intriguing beginning as we learn more not only about our heroes but also the world. While the relationships were new, it was great seeing them get to know each other and I looked forward to seeing it continue to grow.
Pack Poisoned
Pack Poisoned was a hit! It was a great treat learning more about the characters, especially now that Sabrina knows more about what she actually is (not a human), and of course, reading more steamy moments between them. Sabrina and her mates can't really catch a break, so it was hard to see them going through so much turmoil and heartbreak. However with that ending, I cannot wait to find out what is next in book 3!
Pack Punished
Sabrina and her men are back in book three of the Thrown to the Wolves series! Pack Punished is just as action packed and heat filled as book one and two. There are still so many mysteries surrounding the characters at every turn, and with Sabrina's men working hard to keep her safe, it is a race against their enemies. This book certainly packed a punch to the emotions, and I cannot wait to find out what it all means in the fourth and final book!
Pack Possessed
The Thrown to the Wolves series was one wild ride to the next! Pack Possessed was definitely the most intense of the series with everything leading up to that exciting ending. Finally answers are revealed, and everything may not be pretty, but luckily Sabrina and her seven mates are not ones to shy away from difficulties. Sabrina's journey has been incredible, and I loved all of the moments between her and her men. This conclusion for them was perfect! I cannot wait to see what is next for this world!
What starts off as being in the right place at the right time soon develops into a story of warring factions. So maybe "right place, right time" is not quite accurate, more like stumbling into a situation she feels compelled to help, and gains a friend in the process. Enter Emmie's yummy brothers and what ends up happening is beyond Sabrina's wildest imagination. Going from human to...well not... Sabrina has lots of challenges to overcome, made infinitely easier by the attention from Bo, Shade, Cin, Reid. It's a read full of drama and trying to stay one step ahead of the enemy, although WHO the enemy is is not as clear cut as it seems. It's an omnibus full of sex, drugs and rock and roll, ok, not classic rock and roll but there was LOTS of rocking and rolling if you get what I mean.
Lots of twists, my goodness was my head spinning! The author lulls one into thinking this is a typical why choose shifter book BUT it's not! It's not typical from any aspect! Shifters that are so much more than only shifters. The plot centres around one human woman and a host of delicious men, yes, definitely NOT the typical 3 guys/1 girl! I found myself stopping to count how many.... they kept appearing and the journey got more and more complex. Not because of the guys, but because of who wants whom and why, who the actual alta ego residing in each shifter is, I couldn't never have predicted it! Tons of action at times, tons of violence at times and tons of steamy scenes at times.
The author took me on a journey of discovery, of intrigue and soul searching, one that had me rooting for every single character. Ok, not the blatantly awful ones. But these characters fel like a warm glove on a cold day, they all fitted snuggly into the story. I do feel book 2 and book 3 were slow, but the final book picked up pace nicely and came to a very satisfying conclusion
Paranormal reverse harem fans will be treated to this intricate and thrilling four book series with the Thrown to the Wolves collection. This series begins as a slower burn romance with lots of tension, twist and turns, secrets, and steam but packs a punch at the finish line with one epic rollercoaster ride. Be prepared to immerse yourself in an intricate world of supernaturals with Sabrina’s unique journey!
Sabrina is such a confident, logical, and self-sufficient heroine. Her past has molded her to be a take charge rational thinker that doesn’t wallow in her own self-pity. I love a heroine that is more important and stronger than anyone initially realizes. Her harem is larger than some RH books with 7 mates — but they are all unique with distinct personalities. I do wish some of them had more scenes with Sabrina but understand limitations with a larger harem. There are definitely some hiccups between all of the men, but they are all ultimately devoted to Sabrina and work hard to maintain the peace on her behalf. The steam is slow going at first but then it really heats up! I’m actually really appreciative of books where the heat isn’t turned up right away and relationships are established outside of the bedroom first.
So much happens in this series. I definitely couldn’t predict what was going to happen or how this story would end. The author did a fabulous job keeping readers on their toes! I think my only complaint about this series is that we are given so much world-building information that it is a bit overwhelming. I think I might have to re-read the series to fully understand everyone’s backstory and relationships. Overall this was a great series for PNR RH lovers and I’m excited for any other stories in the shared universe!
J. Kearston has bundled her Thrown to the Wolves series in one box set. The series is fantastic with a unique take on shifter mythology, sweet alphas, and a strong mfc. Each book in the series progressively better. This is a multiple perspective paranormal reverse harem that centers on the main character Sabrina as the wolves descend. Filled with laughs, flirting, drama, plot twists and angst, so of course, I loved it.
***** Packed Promised Review
The story was good, there was one heck of a plot twist that I didn't see coming but now looking back all the signs were there and I am ashamed to say that I didn't catch the clues. The mythology was good but they are only skimming things and haven't gotten into it too deeply but I have a feeling something is there and it's really interesting. My favorite thing about this book though was Sabrina. She isn't like most characters, she was very self-aware, she realized a situation and didn't dismiss things she wasn't that horror movie (or book) chick who makes the wrong calls. She act does what anyone in the real world is screaming at the character to do. Sabrina was smart, analytical, and logical but she also recognized her feelings even when she was in denial. Sabrina was a very refreshing character.
Pack Promised was a great read and ended fantastically, it was all drama, mystery, and crazy politics that ended with a cliffhanger that is gonna be loads of trouble for everyone involved. There are a lot of grudges, shady politics, and vicious wolves lurking about so I'm excitedly waiting to see how that ending plays out and what the guys are gonna do next in Pack Poisoned, the next book the Thrown to the Wolves series.
I loved this series. Book one I am loving this new series! A dark paranormal romance with incredible world building and a storyline that draws you in. The characters are fantastic, complex and very relatable and will have you rooting for them every step of the way. The storyline is enthralling and there’s many twists to keep you engaged and on the edge of your seat and there’s a little action to keep you on your toes. There’s drama, there’s intrigue, there’s laughter and there’s angst and boy it is off to a great start! Book two What the actual hell?? Thought book one was good well I did until I picked this second book up and it blew me away! We pick up where we left off and once again I have fallen into this incredible world. Twists and turns make you spin and try to keep up, truths are discovered, there’s action, deceit, love and betrayal and it is one hell of a ride! Can’t wait for book three! Book three OMG what a fab third book. Once again I found myself sucked into this world from where we left it in book two and it’s oh so good! It’s got such a dark and exciting storyline and is full of mystery and suspense to keep you guessing as we rejoin Sabrina and her guys. We do get some answers but are also left with so many more questions and with twists and turns to make your head spin, I am anxious for the final book! Book four The author has done a great job with this ending! This has been a fab series and I have loved Sabrina and her mens journey. It’s been an incredible adventure, action packed, steamy, and suspenseful and I have enjoyed it very much. I had to wait for each book to be released but now it’s all wrapped up in one fantastic boxset!
1 - Pack Promised: Sabrina, a confident woman used to being alone, had no idea what she was getting herself into when she helped save a random woman one day. Her life changed dramatically following this, and things she thought were complete fiction turned out to be real. This was a fun story, I really liked Sabrina, Emmy and the guys. All different but equally protective of those they care about. I knew going into it that this had a cliffhanger but still went noooo when the story suddenly ended.
2 - Pack Poisoned: Book 2 picks up immediately after book 1, which I always like. Sabrina has her hands full in this one, as the relationship dynamics within the group change, with the addition of new characters, and mates, and just twists and drama throughout the book. There's a lot happening, here!
3 - Pack Punished: This was a twisty one! As the story evolves, so do the relationships, and the characters, themselves. So many people in one group take a lot of managing, and Sabrina is doing well to hold it all together. The ending was another cliffhanger twist.
4 - Pack Possessed: The dramatic final installment in the series has the group going up against Ash and his twisted ideals. Sabrina and the men have been through a massive amount of ups and downs in this series, the characters growing and adapting to everything thrown their way, and this ending was exactly what they deserved. This book tied everything up so well.
This series had me hooked from the first page of the first book. It was very hard to put down! Pack Promised: What a first book in this series! The slow revelation to Sabrina of what she has got herself into after saving Emmeline from assault. Emmeline very quickly becomes Sabrina's best friend, and it follows that Emmy's 4 brothers are all smitten with Sabrina. A few things go wrong and it doesn't take much for their bonds to strengthen. Pack Poisoned: Well, as things develop between Sabrina and the Hawthorne boys, more and more strange things start to happen. The fight to survive the circling vultures grows ever stronger, and the enemies are closing in on all sides. As Sabrina finds her way to work with her newly found wolf, she manages to gather a few more men in her pack. I love the way things are so intertwined and you never quite know what disaster is going to happen next. Pack Punished: As their journey continues, so do the terrors that seek to destroy them. As their relationships develop and the friendships grow between Sabrina's mates, they must learn to deal with the darkness that is troubling them all. It is a constant mystery, and so many unexpected things happen. Of course another cliff-hanger to finish this book in the series! Pack Possessed: The intrigue and mind games in this are off the charts! One thing after another surprises the gang, and keeps them all on their toes. A great conclusion to this series.
I loved this series so much it was addictive in every way possible!
Pack Promised ~
This book was fun to read it was like watching a movie with friends. The guys are funny the FMC reminds me a lot of my own friends actually. I couldn't put it down and needed to read the second book right after because that cliffy! Thankfully I had a Boxset lol.
Pack Poisoned ~
This picked up right after book 1 ended. This one was wild and pulled my heart strings I loved Sabrina and Reid and it broke me. How dare there be this much heart ache in this book! This book is emotional you'll need tissues! I am loving how this is turning out. And of course this cliffy made me cry. Off to book 3 because this DID NOT JUST HAPPEN! Nope.
Pack Punished ~
What did I just read!? I think my world just got turned upside down because this THIS was like an explosion going off in a hurricane. Yeah a lot of stop got answered but but but whyyyyyyyy....... My heart can't take this! I had to read that ending so many times I was in so much denial it doesn't exist to me lol.
Pack Possessed ~
Okay everything got so much better I'm not crying happy tears while writing this NOPE! It made my week! This ended to perfectly! There were twists and turns and everything else but it was beautiful. It was written so well and the plot ugh I'm here for the plot! That ending was amazing and that epilogue that was so adorable!!!!!
Polyamory only works if everyone's on the same page and content with the setup, but wolves don't do break ups, we break necks.
I absolutely loved this complete series! I became fascinated with the worldbuilding while reading "Spark of Desire", and jumped in this series without really reading the blurb because I knew I wanted to read more about this world and their characters. It was everything I needed to pull me through dealing with a family of sick people while feeling very miserable myself.
I think J. Kearston is the only author so far who managed to really make me enjoy a protective harem. Maybe it's all the trouble surrounding them, and navigating the unexptected things happening to all of these characters, but there is not a thing I didn't love about this series from the start. I love the pack dynamics and all the navigating necessary between the different wolf packs; there is so much juicy drama going on! The connection between Sabrina and her new BFF Emmy is wonderful, and I wouldn't have minded more interaction between them. Perhaps they'll show up again in the future, who knows...
This entire series is packed with action and unexpected twists and turns; I could have never imagined the path this story took and what it would mean for all these characters. I can highly recommend this series to everyone.
If you love bing-reading, then this is the BEST! #1 Oh, so good!! This story was refreshing and unique; I really loved it! The characters are amazing, and some unexpected twists left me wanting more. My gosh, Sabrina is adorable, as are the brothers, and Emmy as the BFF. I need to know what's going to happen next!! #2 Holy smokes! What a thrilling story…dayum, but I wouldn't say I liked the cliffhanger of the ending. So, wow. Right. So many things happened in this book. It picked right off where book 1 ended. Many unexpected twists and turns (that ending tho!!) filled with great moments of happiness scattered in between. I can't wait to find out what happens next!! #3 An absolutely thrilling addition to what is turning out to be an exciting series. I was kept entertained throughout, with several unexpected twists along the way. Although the middle was a bit slow, things turned up and went from 0 to 100 in no time. I was looking forward to finding out what would happen next! #4 A totally satisfying ending. I loved it!! One of my favourite quotes: "You don't die for the people you love; you live for them." Wow, what an emotional rollercoaster! I'm pleased with how the story unfolded; there were some surprises along the way, ofc. Overall, I really enjoyed it. I will be reading the spin-off series- I can't wait!
All four books in the series thrown into one bundle - I love it!
Pack Promised: The first books starts off at an explosive pace. The action and danger are as hot as the guys. One little secret turns into many. Nothing is as it seems. Sabrina sprints from one danger to the next. Let her take a bite and see where it takes the cursed wolves.
Pack Poisoned: From bad to worse, Sabrina and her mates are sprinting from one bad situation to impossible missions. Reading this omnibus is great, as I don‘t have to go search for the next book in the series - I just want toi continue reading! I ned to know what happens next!
Pack Punished: The action-packed, emotional rollercoaster continues. Sabrina and her misfit pack men, navigate through pack politics as more secrets are revealed and new players are added to the "chessboard". Emotions run high and the impossible situations are stacked on top of each other.
Pack Possessed: In this fourth and final installment to the “Thrown to the Wolves” quartet, the heat and action continue. JK has an amazing gift of thinking up these dead-end set-ups and I couldn’t even begin to think of how to get the messy untangle. But it is untangle and a HEA is reached after a lot of action packed tension. Sabrina finally get to live with her pack in relative peace.
Thrown to the Wolves the Complete Series by J. Kearston is the perfect boxset for any shifter, paranormal romance fan and contains all four books in the series (Pack Promised, Pack Poisoned, Pack Punished, and Pack Possessed) and is a captivating definite must read collection!
This series revolves around our heroine Sabrina and al the sexy shifter men she soon finds herself drawn to after rescuing their sister from an attack in an alley. With a past heavy in secrecy and pain, her life suddenly starts to look up when she encounters these sexy alpha men, one by one by one.
I absolutely loved this unique take on the shifter world and how they weee all drawn to each other—despite their issues and fears. If you thought you’d seen every variation possible regarding the paranormal world of shifters—you haven’t seen anything until you’ve read this series! Especially as they soon find themselves all in the middle of an old mystery…

Full of non stop action, steamy romance, plenty of twists and turns, secret revelations and tons of sexy mates to be this book will definitely keep you entertained! .
Pack promised This was such an enjoyable book and had so many secrets and action which kept me entertained. Though that cliffhanger is so frustrating. Things were really starting to get exciting and then bam end of book and need to wait for the next book. I’ll definitely get the next book since I need to know what’s going to happen next.
Pack poisoned This book is jam packed with so much going on. The end drove me a bit crazy I definitely need the next book now with that cliffhanger. I loved the characters and wanted to smack some things. I’m excited for the next book. This book was a lot of fun to read.
Pack punished Sabrina and her mates have survived one horrible thing but now they are finding out about more. This story gave a lot of answers but also made a lot more unknowns come to light. There were so many twists and turns and I am excited to find out even more answers. I also want to scream at the ending. Such an intense cliffhanger that is driving me a bit insane. Can’t wait for the next book!
Pack possessed This was a fantastic conclusion to Sabrina’s story. I seriously loved the way it all came together. Her and her men were very fun to get to know. I am curious to see what else will happen in this world. The end ramped up a lot and had me entertained. I don’t want to say too much for fear of giving anything away.
The Thrown to the Wolves Series was a roller coaster ride of emotions! Loads of action, twists and turns and undeniable chemistry. Trust me once you start this series you won't be able to put it down!
Pack Promised 🐺 What a great way to start a new series! Sabrina is so unique, complex, and fiercely determined to be independent. But once she meets Emmy and her brothers, her whole world is turned upside down! There is so much that we don't know yet, loads of twists, and an ending that may result in you tossing your Kindle! GAH! I can not wait for book two!
Pack Poisoned🐺I am obsessed with this series! OBSESSED! All the twists, 🔥🔥🔥 chemistry and I still feel like we know nothing! Throw in yet another ending that had me launching my kindle across the room and you've got yourself one heck of a read. I need book three like yesterday!
Pack Punished🐺I honestly cannot get enough of this book world, this series and these characters! This was a wild action packed ride, full of loads of twists, resolved issues & so much more! Sabrina continues to be one of my favorite characters from J. Kearston. I cannot wait for book four!

Pack Promised is book 1 Sabrina is our fmc with a very boring life. Then one day she stops an assault on her way home and it opens a whole new world for her. She slowly meets her men as this new world slowly builds and widens. You’re kept on the edge of your seat as Sabrina makes her boring world not so boring
Pack Poisoned is book 2 Sabrina is finally getting comfortable in her new skin and gets a new big twist thrown at her. She almost wants to go back to her old boring life> this book definitely picks up on the steam as shes getting closer to her mates and dealing with them being possessive. This book picks up the rollercoaster ride and brings it full force to another cliffhanger wanting more
Pack Punishedis book 3 Shes dealing with the mental and physical after math of everything. And nothing seems safe. Things are getting out of control and now there is a new threat on the horizon bringing new challenges ahead for her….
Pack Possessed is the final book The author definitely brings things full force in this book. It has all the twists and turns to keep you guessing till the last page. Sabrina and her seven guys defiled get a lot of steamy times in this book. Everything definitely gets wrapped up nicely in this book. I almost wish it didnt end
highly recommend this book series to anyone who loves dark paranormal romance, this book also contains trigger warnings so take care and read them before getting into this series if you have any. The books have also been written in MPOVS which is another bonus. Sabrina is such an independent woman who has never had a normal life due to the way she was raised, only relying on herself, endure anything that was thrown at her also to mind her own business. Everything changed one night she was walking home and heard emmy screaming in an alley. Her life drastically changes as Emmy pulls her into her life with her brothers who are her ent on protected their sister. The men then start to put all they’re attention onto Sabrina and want to claim her as their own. The life she was pulled into is filled with violence and bloodshed, with monster lurking waiting to strike. But she takes it all in her stride knowing there is bigger threats than the ones she is told to fear. Sabrina and her men are monsters wether they are able to set them free or not. I couldn’t put this series down from start to finish with all the mystery surrounding Sabrina it just hooked me and kept pulling me in wanting more. It’s great with the boxset as it has all 4 books in the same place.
