Just a big yes all around. I loved it, but not a surprise when it comes to Kali Hart. There's nothing of hers I don't love.

Haley runs out of her wedding and escapes to Bryan's cabin where he finds her and they reconnect .. after he broke up the wedding service. It's an entertaining short story with perfectly painted scenes, moves quickly and smoothly. I enjoyed reading.

This was a sweet story but I really didn’t like Haley much. Bryan was wonderful! Haley and Bryan were in love and in a relationship 2 years earlier but she insisted on keeping it secret then left him for the city. Bryan was heartbroken. She was now marrying someone else who was cheating on her when Bryan stepped in to stop the wedding. Bryan had not been with anyone else as Haley was the love of his life ( as I said, wonderful hero!) Bryan went after her when she ran to make sure she was safe and the love a passion between them rekindled. The chemistry between them was amazing. The HEA was lovely.

ABOUT THIS BOOK Title: Bryan Series: Daisy Hills Volunteer Firefighters #1 (standalone) Author: Kali Hart POV: 1st, dual Cliffhanger: HEA: Trigger/Content warnings:
Spice? On a panty melting level.
Angst? Not too much.
REVIEW Wow, I’m so glad I decided to grab this book!
I’m having crazy anxiety and am in a crappy headspace, so I’m actually avoiding second chance and other angsty reads like the plague. Just can’t deal with a bunch of angst right now. But because this was a novella by Kali Hart, I couldn’t resist. And it was so, so worth it.
For a second chance romance, this was quite low in angst, without taking anything away from the amazing love still, two years later, simmering between the hero and the heroine.
The story was beautiful—from the storyline to the writing, from Bryan and Haley standing their ground when they felt wronged to the chemistry between them. And the epilogue sure made me excited to get my hands on Declan’s story once it’s released.
If you're looking for a quick second chance romance read with a hero objecting to the love of his marrying some stuck-up dude, then you have to read this. Especially if you love the forced proximity and/or brothers’ best friend tropes.

This book is about Haley and Bryan. She’s run out on her own wedding after an unexpected guest at the ceremony announced that he objects to the wedding and that she can’t marry her husband-to-be. Haley’s oldest brother Malcolm is angry with his best friend Bryan at his outburst, having no idea of the (brief) past he and his sister share. Her other brother Declan also wants to know why he did what he did at the ceremony. But thank goodness Bryan did speak up as Haley didn’t really love her cheating fiancé anyway!
She escapes to a cabin in the woods not many people know about, seeking clarity and solace. But Bryan has an inkling she might be there, at his cabin, and goes there in search of her. He comforts her (I’ve got you… major swoon!), and as he goes to leave her there to think and work through everything, she asks him to stay with her.
This is an emotional, sweet and steamy story with really likeable characters. I love the relationships involved in this one already, and am sure it will be another great Daisy Hills series. And who doesn’t love a hottie posing in a puppy calendar?! I give this book four stars.

Loved the Tug Between Bryan and Haley Kali Hart takes readers back to Daisy Hills with a new series of novellas. “Bryan,” is Book 1 in the Daisy Hills Volunteer Firefighters series, and it is steamy, emotional, and pretty crazy with a runaway bride, her screeching, uppity mother, and an adorable pup named Jellybean. Bryan is…wait for it…a veterinarian! You thought I was going to say “firefighter,” didn’t you? Well, he’s that too. And gorgeous. And so completely in love with his best friend’s (Malcolm, who fans will recognize as the original hero from the Daisy Hills universe) little sister that his life has been on hold as he pined for her. Haley is beautiful, but I gotta be honest. I didn’t like her as a person. Some of her attitude got me riled up on Bryan’s behalf. However, that didn’t detract from the short, steamy, and funny story we are treated to. Can’t wait for the next yummy firefighter to get his HEA. Maybe Malcolm and Haley’s brother? Please???
Usually a short story feels like it’s missing too much to be a full story, however this one makes me stand corrected. It had the right amount of backstory and plot to make it an enjoyable read. Do I wish it was longer? Sure! But, I don’t feel at a loss with the amount of story there.
The characters were well-written causing me to like the folks I was meant to and despise the ones I should. The only character that I felt was missing something was the mom. Even with the additional clarification about WHY she wanted her daughter to marry the jerk… it just didn’t make sense to me given that she had a very happy & loving marriage. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Still, highly recommend the story!.

Bryan and Haley were in a great relationship, but she wanted to keep it secret as her brothers were his best friends. Becoming scared, she drops it all and heads for the big city. Two years later she is back for an event that Bryan decides to stop. The characters are wonderful and easy to visualize, with deep feelings and great backstories. Jellybean is great, too. The storyline has a lot of heart mending and coming to terms with family. Happy to see Mother Nature step in as well. Loved the banter, their attitudes and the determination to not let anyone stop them this time. The ending at the firehouse was terrific, bringing them all together.

I adored Bryan right from the start. He’s head over heels in love with his best friends’ sister Haley. Even having his heart broken and her planning to marry someone else, he has her happiness as a priority. I also loved how he never moved on from her because she was the only one for him. To be honest, it took me a little longer to love Haley. I felt like she sent Bryan some mixed signals and could have been more considerate of his feelings. She started to grow on me though and I’m glad she did so that I could really enjoy their spice and their HEA. I was especially thrilled that Bryan got the girl and the HEA that he deserved as one of the sweetest and most selfless characters that I’ve read.

Who objects to this union............he does and is about to get her back
Bryan is the first book in the new Daisy Hills Volunteer Firefighters series, which is in the Daisy Hills world which I love. This is a second chance with your first love romance story about Haley Maxwell and Bryan Collins. Add in a wedding objection, a runaway bride, a best friend's younger sister/older brother's best friend forbidden romance, snow storm stuck in a cabin together, rekindled love and some smoking hot and smexy passion. I really loved this low angst, second chance romance book that is well written and has a couple sweet characters. I also love the Daisy Hills world so am happy that the firefighters are getting their series finally.
Kali Hart kicks off her brand new Daisy Hills Volunteer Firefighters series with Bryan, a sweet and steamy second chance romance. Veterinarian and volunteer firefighter Bryan Collins has never gotten over his best friend's little sister - who he was secretly involved with for a time until Haley's fears sent her running to the city. But when she's at the altar about to marry another man, Bryan objects - then he finds the runaway bride when she retreats to the one place nobody would ever look for her, apart from him. Will Bryan and Haley finally get things right the second time around? A swoony, sweet, second chance / small town romance that's the perfect series premier.

This story is just sooo good. Bryan is unbelievably sweet and so very in love with Haley. After years apart, he forgives quickly and easily ad also saves Haley from a stupid decision. They are already in love, so we, as readers, don't have to wait for that to happen; we just need to watch them find their way back to each other. Bryan is a veterinarian who also volunteers as a firefighter and loves animals. He's over-the-top romantic and devoted too. Really, he's a dream come true.
This is a great start to this series. I can't wait to read more of Daisy Hills Volunteer Firefighters.

I was looking forward to this story because I love Kali Hart but I didn't enjoy this book like I thought I would. I did not care for Haley's character. She seemed selfish throughout the story. Plus she didn't want anyone to know that Bryan and her were in love years prior. She kept him a big secret when he wanted to tell the world. I just could not get into the storyline and the characters. It was steamy and had a great HEA and I will definitely read more from this series because I love Kali Hart. But this book was just okay.

I loved Bryan: Small Town Romance Book 1 of Daisy Hills Volunteer Firefighters. Haley is a runaway bride. She was already running when her ex Bryan came into stop the wedding. Haley ran to his cabin and no one will find her, except Bryan. Will she be able to get over her fear in order to be with Bryan? She made the biggest mistake of her life two years ago leaving him but can she risk her heart? Would Bryan still want her? Such a sweet story and I loved the characters. A quick read and I can’t wait for her brothers story. I would definitely recommend this book.

This is the start of the new "Daisy Hills Volunteer Firefighters" series. It is a stand alone read that short, quick and fast paced. The story has a mix of runaway bride, brother's best friend and second chance spin. It is a story about Bryan and Haley. She runs out of her wedding with the help of her wedding coordinator after an objection is made. Bryan never stopped loving Haley, even after she left him. This is a good read that is sweet and steamy. I cannot believe Haley would contemplate marrying the douche. I thought Bryan caved to easily. Overall, a cute story that is a dash over the top.
Bryan was an awesome start to the new Daisy Hills Volunteer Firefighters series by Kali Hart. After Haley's first love crashes her wedding and objects and she leaves her cheating fiancé at the altar, she runs to the one place she feels safe. She hopes to hide out and get her life sorted out at Bryan's mountain cabin. Bryan has never recovered from the heartbreak after Haley abruptly ended their secret relationship out of fear of her family finding out. But now that Bryan has Haley at his cabin, can they get their HEA? Or will Haley break his heart again? Can't wait to read Declan's book!
I thoroughly enjoyed this story about Bryan & Haley. Haley took off to years ago and left Bryan but now she is back, and it is her wedding day, when the question of if anyone disagrees with the marriage to speak up now, he objects. I love that these to have a second chance at the love that they have for each other. They basically take up where they left off with using the cabin as their secret hideaway. There is a happy ending and lots of sexy times.

Haley was about to marry the wrong man, until Bryan crashes the wedding. The groom has lipstick on his collar and it is not her shade. She runs and ends up a remote cabin that meant so much to her and Bryan. Of course, he knows where to find her. She broke his heart when she left, will she be able to leave again?
Bryan has loved Haley for a while, if it screws up his friendship with her brother so be it. Will he be able to survive if she walks out again?.

I love Kali Hart's books and was looking forward to this one. As always, it is a story full of feelings and with a perfect book boyfriend, with whom it is impossible not to fall in love. And the scenes between Bryan and Haley are hot. Haley is not my favorite character, honestly her attitude annoys me a lot all the time. L Hard to rate... 3.5 because I like how the story flows, and I want to know more about the rest of the characters.

I received an ARC from the author and am voluntarily leaving my review. Bryan and Haley face up to their hidden feelings at the best and worst possible moment. Once they are stranded, thanks to the washed out road, things finally snap. Their story has a runaway bride, friendship, determined but clueless brothers, denial, Mother Nature's intervention, tension and enough sparks to burn the cabin down. It was a good story that flows fast because it is short. It could have been a bit smoother in spots but overall I liked it. The characters brought plenty of humor to go with the drama
Haley and Bryan get a second chance at love in a very interesting way. I loved the way Bryan came to Haley's rescue and knew exactly where she would be after she ran. Things take a steamy turn while at the cabin and sparks were flying everywhere. This is the first book in the Daisy Hills Volunteer Firefighters series and I can't wait to read the rest of this series. The writing is well done, the characters are likable and they finally got their happily ever after. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.
In this short but so sweet book we find Haley driving away from the wedding that never happened. She goes to the cabin owned by Bryan the only man she has ever loved thinking no one will find her there but Bryan knows exactly where she is and now vows to get the woman he has waited two years to come back to him.

Haley just ran away from her wedding, After her ex Bryan objected. Now they are stuck in his cabin rekindling their love for each other. Will Haley accept Bryan this time or will she continue to run from the truth?

When she leaves town leaving behind Bryan and her life to start over. She decides to have her wedding in her hometown, she hopes that he will show up. This short story was great. Bryan knew he had to stop this wedding before it was to late. He has been in love with Haley since he was a teenager. He lost her once, but will do everything he can to not loose her a second time. Haley knew she was making a huge mistake if she married the man her mother chose. She has only ever loved Bryan, and when he objects to her wedding she never felt so relieved .
A refreshing new read, when Bryan arrived just in time to stop the wedding, and the wedding planner handed Haley keys to make her great escape. Her fiance was cheating on her. He had another woman's lipstick on his collar. Bryan saved her even after how she treated him as she headed to their secret hide away. A fabulous story you do not want to miss.

It’s the perfect read for an afternoon curled up on the couch under a warm and cozy blanket. Loved it. I can’t wait for the next book by Kali Hart. Happy reading everyone
I enjoyed this story, it was a quick read and I couldn't turn the pages fast enough. There were times when I was annoyed with Haley and thought she should act differently, but once you get further into the book , you learn more about why she's acting this way and she and Bryan grow closer. Their story is worth reading.
