Any hope of holding back the Hobgoblin's invasion force has completely failed, now Ashely, Kyarina, Orion, and their allies must flee or risk their BAMFs falling into the monstrous Demi-Humans' clutches.

Meanwhile, Startum Ironwolf has reached the Gnome city of Haldale. He's just one city away from completing his Battle Mage Class, but only, if he can keep himself out of trouble. Of course, things never seem to go as planned as he meets new friends and enemies.

Interested in martial arts, swords, archery, Dungeon & Dragons, the SCA (Society of Creative Anachronisms), reading Sci-Fi and Fantasy, Jason became a computer gamer after leaving the Army. Worth the wait!

So this has turned into one of my favorite series of books. I have been waiting for this release and the story was worth the wait. While there was a part that was hard to read, that was only because of how invested I am in the characters.

So how long till the next one?

Jason is such a romantic. And does not spare the gore. This book makes me love the series even more. I recommend this series for a serious binge read, bathtub to the bed, candlelight, all the things!!!!
I actually reread this entire series before the newest book comes out. Doesn't get old.

Lot of humor

It's very entertaining, and there are a lot of laughs from the adult humor. Star once again has many things going on, and then his relationships with people who received a beat down are allowing him to work out his anger. Other things are happening, and events are coming to a peak.

The World grows

This has been a great addition to The World series. We were able to spend a lot of time with different characters, and the adventure just keeps getting better. The author has done a great job building a world, The World, that we can get lost in. This series just keeps going strong for me, and as always, I can't wait for the next book!

More Startum, Just Startum

Please, Jason, I didn't read this book for its B, C, D, or whatever plots. The A plot is what drew me and having hundreds of pages for people I don't care reading about isn't why I read your books.

Book 12 is done

Book 12 is done, and bring on book 13! Finally, the author is wrapped up some issues with our hero and his woman, and we're getting some really great new ideas on other people

World is Great

Let me start by saying I love the world. The lore is amazing and the protagonist is captivating and dynamic. When the books focus on Star and his main crew is where it truly shines.

Where the series loses me is with everything else. As interesting as the stuff going on in Brokefang Hold is, it’s too much for one series. I have absolutely no interest in hearing again how Jody doesn’t like Star and says something and someone puts her in her place. I also don’t like how it’s 12 books and Star is still halfway around the world.

Personally I think the World has enough content for a spin off or a companion series. Let’s follow Star in the main story and everything else can be separate .It would lessen the frustration and skipping I do to get to the meat of the story. And while it may make it longer until I can see how it ends, I would be much happier having clearing expectations.

That being said, I’m going to continue reading either way lol.

This is a good series. but it seems to have stalled out

I like this author and this series but it seems to me like this story has stalled out. The last several books and been building to up to the big defense of his home. I am no sure we are ever going to get there at this point. Otherwise, good writing. great world. Good characters.

To much speed and not enough haste.

Another good book in the series , the one comment I'd make is that I'm sick of seeing Stars new spells in detail ,his new spell took about six pages, it's like the appendices are great but far to detailed Stars is 39 pages long for goodness sake and the entire appendix is 25% of the book.

Another good book, by Jason Cheek!

I’m a long time audible fan, so I only recently discovered that The World saga had more books. I ended up reading this book until 5:30am, and I had to be to work at 10am. I haven’t been that enthralled by a book for at least 20 years. Needless to say, I whole heartedly endorse this book for any LitRPG fan!

The pace is getting ridiculous.

You wait months for a book and it is a five hundred page day of shopping. If this were a web novel that would be fine, the shopping not the five hundred pages. But for a full book I expect more story.

Another good one

Another good foray into Star’s time in the game, can’t wait for more. A few word usage issues and spelling errors but nothing that really detracts from the story. Keep writing and I’ll keep reading!!!

Keep them Coming

I can’t wait till the next book. Of course Star’s perspective is the most interesting, but I do enjoy the perspectives of the other characters. Definitely keeps my interest up.

Great series

This series gets better and better each book. I can't wait for the next one to arrive. Excellent world building. Book 100 can't come quick enough. I'd give it 10 stars if possible.

Great story

Unique take on a story. From a Gamers perspective. Though he does put a lot of fluff and politics into the story.

Are these books getting shorter?

Arrgh, that seemed way to short for me. I'm terribly disappointed that I now have to wait again for the next book. Get to work!

Great Story, Fun relatable characters

I enjoy indie authors. This series has relatable characters, an immersive story, and a lot of action. I also want to say griefers really suck.
