Suspenseful from the very beginning, this story will keep you turning pages frantically as you try to figure out what exactly is going on. At times, everything you think you know is a lie. I cannot wait for the next installment!
Wow. Every time I think I know what’s going to happen this book takes a different turn. Amazing characterization. This political thriller will have you on the edge of your seat.
I stumbled across AK Weller’s Enemy Closer as I searched for my own book of the same title! Serendipity indeed. The narrative is wonderfully detailed and descriptive - bringing settings and characters to life. The plot twists and turns as our hero ducks and dives to keep herself and her beloved Alsatian safe from her controlling ex. She cannot turn to the authorities for help, because her ex is the authorities, so she becomes evermore resourceful and self-contained - except for her unwanted and unannounced fellow fugitive, lurking in the deep shadows of the Coloradan wilderness. A great book with a seriously tense ending. Well done Ms Weller and looking forward to the next instalment!
