That West family though! I don't know what I was expecting but, honey, it definitely was not all this drama! Daddy West is a big time drug supplier who has suddenly decided to "retire" from the game. His reason for retiring is BS and his boys know it. Daddy West is keeping secrets and I can't wait to find out what they are. While the West family Patriarch is the drug supplier, the West Boys are big time drug dealers. While all of them are trying to manage their trap houses, each one of them are dealing with personal crisis. Josiah's girlfriend is a drug addict he can't seem to let go. Everyone in his family keeps telling him to walk away from Dakota but, his love for this chic just won't let him do it. Elijah is still in love with his ex but, because he did her so dirty when they were together, Slim is not trying to give him any more chances. So, he's trying to move on with Cheyanne but there's something shady about her. I don't trust that chic. Isiah gets shot by his enemy Khiari after he catches him in bed with his girlfriend. When one of his trap houses gets hit, Isiah automatically assumes Khiari did it and returns the favor by hitting one of his trap houses. This essentially starts a war between these two. Oh, but wait, there's more. Naomi, the only West girl and Isiah's twin, is secretly dating Khiari! Chiiiiiile, the drama! Now, in Naomi's defense, she knew her brothers were beefin' with Khiari and his crew. She just didn't know the extent of their beef. She also didn't know he shot Isiah because, he never told her and Khiari didn't offer up that tidbit of information. And, just when you think there couldn't possibly be any more drama, all of the brothers get ambushed and Naomi gets kidnapped! I saw absolutely none of that coming. But, I'm calling it now. I think Rocko is the traitor. Him running into Naomi right before she got kidnapped was entirely too convenient for me. Yeah, I'm givin' Rocko all kinds of side eye. Generally, I'm not a fan of books that feature multiple characters. I like for my attention to be focused on just the couple featured in the storyline. But, I really like that each of the books in this series doesn't focus on one specific character. All of the West siblings has an individual storyline in each book and those storylines carry over into the next. Infatuated With that Hood Love was somethin' else. I can’t wait to see how this story plays out in the rest of the books.

The West family has entered the chat!!! Baby what an introduction to this family. We got to meet the West siblings and those closest to them in this first book. Their father Xavier West is a big time drug connect and pulls his boys to the side one day to let them know he’s stepping down from the business and that someone else is taking his spot all under the guise of living out life with their mother and finally gaining a sense of peace. Well the moment he lets them know this, their lives are everything but peaceful.

We have Elijah the oldest and most level headed sibling who is doing his best to manage his hot headed siblings while co parenting his 6 year old son with the love of his life that wants nothing to do with him romantically.

Next in line is Josiah and he’s struggling to maintain a happy and healthy home for his 4 year old daughter while he stresses and worries over the constant disappearance of his crackhead baby mama.

Last but not least are the twins Isaiah and Naomi. Isaiah is the wreckless baby boy who reacts without consequences and realizes soon enough that every action has a reaction that you may not be ready to handle. Naomi is the only girl and only one far removed from the family business. She lives a life sheltered by her older brothers as she finishes up college. She’s in deep with a guy she may even love but has yet to tell her over protective brothers about. She wants to enjoy their bubble of happiness before they run him off the way they’ve done everyone before him.

One day things are good for this clan and then all he!! breaks loose. When the ish hits the fan, everyone is left stinking 🤣🤣😩😩🤧🤧!!! That cliffhanger was the definition of everybody can get it! Whew! Runs to book 2!!

The West family has pulled up!!!
In this drama-packed story, we meet the West siblings and those closest to them. Their bond is built on loyalty until it isn’t. What happens when cracks appear in what was once a solid foundation?!

Their Father: Xavier West, is a big drug connect who has been running the game for years. One day he calls a meeting with his sons and tells them that he will get out of the game and someone else will take his spot. He advises his boys that everything is good and that he wants to spend more time with their mother.

Elijah West is the oldest and the most level-headed one. Always the voice of reason, he is trying his best to manage his siblings while co-parenting with his ex Slim who he is still in love with, but she wants nothing to do with him.

Then we have Josiah West. Josiah is a sweetheart trying his damnest to be everything he needs to be to his 4-year daughter without exposing her to the fact that her mother is a crackhead.

Finally, we have the twins Isaiah and Naomi. Isaiah is a hothead with a wreckless ass mouth. The only ladies in his life are his momma and sister, and he plans on keeping it that way until he sees Kay, and all bets are out the window. Naomi is the youngest and the only girl in the bunch, so you already know her brothers don’t play when it comes to their baby sister. Naomi will do anything to ensure her brothers don’t find out about the new man in her life.

When I say ish hit the fan, that’s what I mean. That cliffhanger had me 🤯 🤯

Let me run to book 2 🏃🏾‍♀️

Re read

I read the story before and had forgotten about the cliffhanger ending. It's a good read with lots of things going on with each couple.

Josiah father Xavier, calling Dakota gutter when the next paragraph we learn his son is a drug dealer. The fucking nerves. I already don’t like him.

Zay thinking his brothers would kill a girl he was screwing, when he knew she had a man (who end up getting the drop on him) let me know this family is too much.

So Xavier gutter too. Yup this family way too much

I wonder if the boys didn’t feel a way that their father turning things over to some random instead of one of them? Especially Eli. His bum ass probably got threatened to step down

Yes. Their mom keeping it real with Eli. Leave Slim alone and let her move on and be great. But Slim might be salty that Eli will give Chey what he didn’t give her

Naomi: After texting Slim and finding out that she was babysitting both kids. Me: how is she babysitting her own child

I hope Khi doesn’t harm Mimi

Eli to Cheyenne: “Aight shorty, I gotta get back to my family but I’ll hit your phone later.” I’m sorry but that wouldn’t sit right with me

Bruh, I hope Rocko isn’t in bullshit. That would be a travesty. The only thing I could see why he’d trip is if he’s Xavier illegitimate son. Since Xavier stepping down to take something to his grave. However if that was the case I’d think Rocko would’ve snapped a long time ago. I really like him so I hope my imagination is getting the best of me

Khi excuse to what he did to Zay is bs. If he was done with his ex, why he showing up at her house unexpected anyway. Especially if he supposedly moved on with Mimi

Ok Steph is a psycho

Damn this is a roller coaster and I’m here for it

Speechless!!!

Wow...this book has me so on edge, it has me floored. The storyline is definitely one of the best that I have read and I have read so many books by many authors. I am fairly new to Skye Moon but man she is an awesome writer. The characters are all so loveable and the rawness of them keeps you at the edge of your seat. The West brothers all have different personalities but are very personable and relatable. I can’t wait to see how this story plays out but I am also afraid that my heart won’t be able to take it. I will most definitely be ready more from Skye Moon.

girl stresssssed

Lord these West men and of course my girl MiMi. I’m so glad I am late to the party, if I would’ve ended on a cliffhanger and had to wait for the second book to come out, I would’ve pulled my hair out 😆. I really enjoyed how well written this was. You were able to pull me in and get me invested in each of their lives so effortlessly, I wanna know who is attacking the familyand what is really going on 🤨🧐. Onto book twoooo

Pager turner that leaves you with your mouth wide open

The various personalities and family dynamics of the book leave you going back and forth but you can't stop turning the pages. This series is bound to make me pressure go up but I can't wait to jump into book 2.

Well written drama 😳🤯🫣

The West family is a lot! 🫣🤬😳🤔😱. Every emotion was touched. A great introduction to this chaotic family. Each member clearly has a lot going on and it was written well. Even the sub-characters have a story. You got to be ready for this 📕. The storyline…. 🤯. The author wrote it well and it flowed perfectly for the way it ended…..

I thought I could handle a cliffhanger, but I guess not. You could see the cracks in the walls of this family is about to fall apart. Hopefully, they will be able to repair whatever is going on with their family. I was not sure what the root of conflict came from, but I hope they don’t let it tear them apart.

The West Family: I thoroughly enjoyed Book 1, the introduction to the West family was a little intense, I can say that how the book ended had me side-eyeing Ms. Moon. Her writing pulls you in and by the time you get to the last page you are definitely looking for more. This is a rerelease.

Y’all this dang on West family had me all in their drama. I could not put this book down, from the very first page I was all in. That dang on Josiah and his baby mama pulled me in right away. I was really rooting for him to get a win because that BM had that poor man so unhappy. I am very interested to see how things end up with him and his crackhead BM in book 2.

Isaiah is such a hot head I just know he will keep me on my toes this series. He is so intense and wasn’t ashamed of it at all. I can’t wait to read more about his shenanigans, I just know he is going to act a fool over Kaydence.

Elijah seems like the leveled headed of the men, Im rooting for him and his BM Slim who doesn’t seem to be paying him much attention.

Naomi out here dating the enemy and gonna start a damn war over Khi ass.

It was so much going on with these siblings but I like that it wasn’t all over the place. Sometimes when a book is written with so many point of views it gets confusing and sloppy but this wasn’t. Skye kept each siblings POV in their own unique voice and their storylines flowed. I feel like I would have known whose chapter I was reading even if there was no chapter heading just based off each persons personality as each of their personalities stood out very well from the others. The cliffhanger though like dang Skye left me with my mouth wide open, like wait what’s going on. I am so glad I have book 2 and can jump right on in.
