The book will be a strong and faithful ally preventing social awkwardness by arming you with plenty of icebreaking pieces of trivia, suitable for any occasion. My goal was to write a quiz book that would stand out with interesting, educational and fun content; a book that would both entertain and challenge. The concept is based on the well-known multiple choice format, with an added twist of introducing the "Which is NOT true?" approach for the half of the questions. This approach has its merit in allowing you to learn two crazy facts about people, places or animals by answering a single question. The book is not meant to be "your go-to" book for facts. I assure you however that it is loaded with fun and verified facts presented in a manner that can provide you with hours of entertainment. All the material is fresh, and is not simply recycled from my previous publication. Life is too short to settle for the run-of-the-mill. This book will show you just how fantastical and funny the real world is. It will provide you with never-ending intellectual ammunition for a lifetime of dinner parties. You can use it to organise pub or family quizzes, or use it as a prep tool to give you the edge when participating in these.
Born in Bulgaria, I have lived in places like Germany, Belgium and Iraq, before settling down with my family in Luxembourg. With varied interests, I have always suffered from an insatiable appetite for facts stemming from an unrestrainable intellectual curiosity. It has certainly influenced my academic background and career: after acquiring Master degrees in Greek Philology, German and English Translation, I graduated in Crisis Management and Diplomacy and, most recently, undertook an MBA.
My career has been equally broad and diverse, swinging from that of an army paratrooper and a military intelligence analyst; through to that of a civil servant with the European Commission, and presently, that of a clerk, performing purely financial tasks in a major bank. Member of MENSA.
Filled with facts from all over the world, this book is quite interesting. Broken into short categories, it is easy to test your knowledge with a group of around 12 to 15 tidbits of info with 3 multiple choice options. Some sections are looking for the right answer, while others give you 2 truths & a lie. I enjoyed the breaking up of the style and the "Which is NOT true?" sections actually give you 2 bits of knowledge. Since the information comes from across the globe and a variety of topics, you are sure to find a few areas that pique your interest. Some of the questions deal with sexual acts and may not be suitable for younger quizzers.

Out of the 545 books I’ve read/reviewed so far about three/four of them have been for books which have contained trivia or random facts.
I found Mr. Kostov’s book to be quite informative as I can’t recall seeing the tidbits of knowledge it contains in any of the books I’ve read so far. The book has been arranged in multiple categories, U.S., U.K., Canada, as well as miscellaneous; followed by several sub-categories. To add some welcomed variety to his book has combined the usual multi-choice answers to a trivia question with those questions which ask readers which one of three possible statements is not true.
In the end, readers who purchase or download a copy of this book via Amazon’s KINDLE Unlimited program, we find themselves as examples of an Albert Einstein’s quote: “The more I learn, the more I realize how much I don’t know.”
For expanding my knowledge and that of this book’s readers, I’ve given this book 5 STARS.
I supported the crowdfunding campaign and received the book before it is even released on Amazon :) In short, it's divided into two chapters: I. Countries and People: UK, USA, Canada, other countries and US Presidents II. Miscellaneous - Animals, Latin Dances and random. +++ +it makes a classy Christmas gift, I look forward to see the paperback in a week or two; +It's truly entertaining and you could readily use if organising a pub quiz or a home quiz; +you learn a lot, and it's mostly in the domain of the unbelievable, not just retold dates and facts from the encyclopaedia; +many answers contain further information to put everything in context and there are relevant photos.
--- -Chapter 2 is very, how to put it, random. Latin dances, then pandas, pigs !!! It's really amusing but still... And it would be good to have more quizzes about people in Chapter 1.
I slowly worked my way through all the quizzes and achieved about 60% correct. I enjoyed doing them - some I knew the correct answers, some I was lucky enough to guess the correct answer and the 40% I got wrong were a learning experience. Well done Nayden.
It's a fun little book full of fascinating trivia, but it is a complete PITA to try to use in Kindle format. There are no links to the answers, so you will tap your fingers numb going back and forth from question to answer.
This book was a lot of fun to read and I learned many things I wouldn't have otherwise been exposed to. It was fun to sit around with family and question their knowledge!
Quite a variety of trivia here....it covers a range of subjects, from trivia involving: different countries including the USA & Canada, animals including pigs & pandas, Latin dance, trivia regarding states including CA, TX, FL, NY, & also just random trivia. Answers are included at the end of each quiz. I scored about 50% across all categories.....kind of a fun way to learn little tidbits! The quiz's are challenging! I'd guess that this is probably geared more toward adults. I received this e-book from Goodreads First Reads Giveaway Program, in exchange for my own fair & honest review.
If you are a fan of trivia, you will enjoy this book. It presents trivia in a variety of formats. Some are questions, others multiple choice or true/false answers.
It centers mostly on the United States and The United Kingdom. There are sections on individual states like Florida and New York. Presidents George Washington and Abraham Lincoln are also featured.
The organization is somewhat random. If you are reading on a Kindle, you will need to flip back and forth for the answers. If you intend to use this book a lot, the paperback might be a better choice.
I gave this book 3 stars, not because it was not interesting, but because it simply was not suitable for Kindle format. The answers to the questions in each chapter were at the end of the chapter, and simply said "a", or "b" or "c". The reader had to keep scrolling back to the questions to find out what the question and answers were which was really irritating. This sort of book needs to be a "real" book.
It was very random in the way it was categorized. Four chapters about Canada, then four chapters about Florida. It was also not clear if you were supposed to state true or false on that particular quiz. But lots of fun facts to learn!
Nero Wolfe is a favorite of mine. This one has some racially provocative language by side characters and Archie (which is disturbing) but Wolfe shows remarkable respect for the time written. As always, Wolfe makes for a fun read
This is a fun book. We had a great time challenging our knowledge and learning new and interesting tidbits of facts without feeling like we were being quizzed.
Which is not True? is filled with trivia from around the world. While a lot of the information is obscure, there is a lot to be learned from this book.
Which is not True?: Тhe Quiz Book (Paramount Trivia and Quizzes #2) by Nayden Kostov -- Used this to pass the time on a road trip with a friend, and we both had fun! Happy Reading!
I'm Canadian and there was questions, more then I care to admit, that I didn't know. Also, this gave me so much information for lesson planning for my kiddos
This was a GoodReads giveaway win of a Kindle ebook.
It was an okay book of trivia. It is an ebook and the small format does not lend itself well to answering and checking responses. Because it is an ebook, it should have been more interactive, allowing the reader to check off their answers and then match against the answers. A running tally and percent correct would have also vastly improved the feel.

A fun book filled with Clavenesque arcaneinities, plenty of tidbits to either start or end a conversation... Perfect reading for 1) a guest bathroom 2) a doctor's waiting room 3) a long-haul flight on a discount airline which neither serves food nor provides any form of entertainment. I went with "3", and was not disappointed.
I generally like trivia but not this book. This is the worst kind of low effort trivia book — a bunch of prompts, multiple choice answers, and then a few pages later, 3) b. No details as towny that was the correct answer, or any context whatsoever. I bought this during a kindle sale and it wasn’t worth even the $1-2 I paid.
The book is just a series of quizzes, sometimes on very obscure topics. Nevertheless I took all the quizzes and proved I have a lot of trivia to learn!
