She Reads Truth is a worldwide community of women who read God's Word together every day. Founded in 2012, She Reads Truth invites women of all ages to engage Scripture through curated daily reading plans, as well as online conversation led by a vibrant community of contributing writers. This community of “Women in the Word of God every day” represents a long list of cities and countries, a variety of backgrounds and traditions, and countless real-life stories. But there is a commonality that binds us: we believe God's Word is Truth. So we read. Every day we read a new passage together—working our way through books of the Bible, topics that matter, and seasons of the Church calendar. We engage with God's Word and with each other. And we keep coming back, on the hard days and the good days, because God and His Word never change, regardless of our circumstances.
Lord, there is no one like you, and there is no God besides you, as all we have heard confirms. And who is like your people Israel? God, you came to one nation on earth to redeem a people for yourself, to make a name for yourself through great and awesome works by driving out nations before your people you redeemed from Egypt. You made your people Israel your own people forever, and you, Lord, have become their God. 1 Chronicles 17:20-22
Thanking God for His faithfulness and compassion on me in that while I was still a sinner Christ died for me!
Since the content is 95% biblical text, how could I not give it 5 stars! Loved my time slowing down and looking at the faithfulness of our covenant-keeping God as recorded in 1st & 2nd Chronicles; both his steadfast love to Israel and the realization of all His promises in Jesus Christ that now extends to who come to Him in faith. Praise God.
“Yours, Lord, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the splendor and the majesty, for everything in the heavens and on earth belongs to you. Yours, Lord, is the kingdom, and you are exalted as head over all. Riches and honor come from you, and you are the ruler of everything. Power and might are in your hand, and it is in your hand to make great and to give strength to all. Now therefore, our God, we give you thanks and praise your glorious name.” -1 Chronicles 29:11-13
I had a very similar experience to my Lenten study last year by She Reads Truth. The book is beautifully done. I wanted a study that covered the entire season of Lent and this was the only one I could find. This study was exactly as advertised. I really don't think I'm very smart for paying for the book as it is --I end up reading my Bible and following along with the book to include the Going Deeper scripture passages. The Israel and Judah Extra was Great! *I never could figure out a way to engage on the app without paying for the study again.
I really enjoyed digging into Chronicles with a different goal in mind. I think it’s difficult to rate this book if you don’t interact with the podcasts. These always push me to learn more straight from scripture. I enjoy the extras from the book.
A Bible study on Chronicles. I feel like the reading wasn’t evenly distributed. Some days we were reading three chapters and other days one. I’m glad they did chronicles I just don’t think Lent was a good time for it. The last week regarding Holy Week was great!
Sadly I had trouble with this part of the Bible, but what I did get from it was rich. My main takeaway was how God has been writing our story all along, and is our perfect king. I had more, but I need to look in my journal to remember.
