Water, shelter, food, and protection. And one other thing...
When our transport crash-lands on a hostile world full of monsters and death, it's up to me, the only man on the planet, to use my strength and wits to keep the women alive.
With danger lurking around every bend and the world itself against us, what am I supposed to do with five very different, but very beautiful women?
Gain their trust. Keep them alive.
Fight off the monsters.
And take advantage of whatever private moments the girls and I can find.
A solid read with an interesting opening scene with the lead character awaking with imminent need to escape his damaged cryo tube or quickly expire in the flames and smoke of the ship's wreckage. From there the story evolves with hints of his background and that of the remaining survivors as they struggle against the denizens of the harsh world.
Within the first "night", Adam hooks up with one of the five female survivors; hence the beginnings of his soon to develop harem of beautiful women also struggling to survive against a host of hideous and hostile species.
Some elements of the story are very predictable, to include the finale. There was a near comedic introduction in the third book of a new male character which was the near antithesis to Adam; namely Timmy. Of course the author needed this character to justify sending the hero's expedition party off in a previously unrealized destination in order for the plot finale to be realized. Poor Timmy never stood a chance at peeling off one of the beauties from Adam's harem.
The only criticism of this book series was some of the various expedition treks seemed to drag on. Sure, each was a chance to introduce new beasties as well as other learning experiences for the cadre to survive day to day on the planet.
Each of the explicit scenes with the various hookups was described in vivid, erotic detail making this certainly an adults-only piece of fiction
Genres: SciFi, Evil big corporation, and adult erotica (Harem trope)
Adam a prisoner on a transport ship crash lands on a hostile planet .
Adam a prisoner on a transport ship crash lands on a hostile planet that he wakes from a deep sleep pod while trying to escape from being cooked alive . While chained to the pod itself he must work to free himself or die . Once free he starts heading towards finding water and food while still chained he comes upon female survivors from a different part of the transport ship he was on that was thrown part elsewhere at a further distance . All band together to survive four females and on male on a hostile unknown planet far from civilization with no communication abilities . recommend reading excellent series .
Jack Porter writes a good book and his imagination is spot on. The reason for the rating I gave was due to some bad editing that was a bit confusing at times. But that has nothing to do with the way this story was written or the fact that I would love to follow this group on more adventures. Sorry to see it end, this was one that I could say was hard to put down.
This trilogy was exceptional! The adventures that the characters had were truly exciting and fit well with the personalities the author revealed for each one. Although it was very blunt at times, it was easy to ignore that and just enjoy the story! I would love for the author to do a follow-up to see what happened to these people because I became very invested in them!!
I’ve been a sci-fi/fantasy reader all my life. This was very good. The story, in my opinion, was more important than the erotica. Well written characters, imaginative plot. Even had a happy ending without anyone being killed off. Jungle King was good, too, and completely different.
I liked this,A lot! Discounting all the great sex scenes,(very hard to discount) the story was superb, the characters, interesting and varied.the interplay Amongst them, just enough to whet your appetite and make them all, valued and familiar. Well written and thoroughly enjoyed.
I am a huge fan of this type of story, and this one kept me turning the page in anticipation. Each character was well-defined, with their own strengths and issues. The storyline was captivating, and the action was intense. I'm definitely interested in further adventures.
This is a well written fantasy trilogy that doesn't quit. It has all the action, drama and erotic moments that entertains your mind and emotions for all the hours it takes to finish it! I'll say it again, what a good fantasy!
I enjoyed this book set, with its constant action and innovative environments. Lots of imagination went into creation of the plant and animal life and the ways to coexist.
This one fine book I can't wait to know how to follow up. Another interesting love story. Fantastic use of fiction and creative ideas. I hope there will be more.
I enjoyed this book. It reminded me of the movie "Pitch Black" the precursor to the Riddick series. You have a man who was being transported as a prisoner of the corporation that controls access to all of the gates in space that allows travel between systems. The ship goes through one of these gates but instead of going to their desired system it crash lands on this uncharted planet with no way back. The only other survivors are five women. Lucky for the women the guy was trained and augmented to be able to best handle such situations. Can the women trust this prisoner though. The five women all seemed like distinct characters with strengths and weakness. The planet is full of lots of unfriendly monsters as well, the planet doesn't rotate, or if it does the rotation is not perceivable. In the area with constant sunlight the monsters are mainly underground, in the twilight area of the planet most of the life and creatures live as it is lush and green with lots of rain. The night side of the planet is mostly frozen but there are still creatures there.
