Guess this must be stretched to several books.

Basically an arranged marriage. However Wolfe and his Bride don't even talk for 80% of the book. Then they basically fool around a little and it's the end of the book...

This story starts out with Ravenna on her wedding day and she’s never met her husband Wolfe. This marriage was arranged by her father years ago. Not sure of what to expect once she is married, she finds herself spending most of her time alone. Wolfe is just as nervous as Ravenna is getting married wasn’t something he had planned on doing. He was happy living his life with random ladies here and there. Now he must be faithful to one woman. When he comes in one day to find another man in his house, he feels his protectiveness kick in. He decides it is time to talk with his wife and man do they hit it off.
How will this arranged marriage play out. I see lots of twist and turns in their future. This is book one is Sage’s new mafia series and I am already needing more. I received an arc copy of this book and I am voluntarily leaving my review.

What a way to start a series! I was hooked from the very start.

Could you imagine meeting your spouse for the first time at the alter? I'm mean, I would be an absolute wreck! And the way Sage describes how Ravenna feels in the moments leading up to that moment, I was feeling everything she was describing. My heart was racing. Wolfe is a strong character, and I love how he is slowly unfolding. I can't wait to see more of his back story. Why is he the way he is? He seems like he was simply alone. I love it!

This book got super 🔥 🥵  in the last chapter. I hope this continues in the first chapter of the next book because I want more!

It's definitely a great read, and I can't wait to see how arranged marriage turns out...

not my favorite

Cliffhanger. A little choppy. Not quite sure what exactly is going on here.
The hero is in his early 50’s and our heroine is in her early 20’s.
The story is rather shielded, and I’m not sure I am interested enough to buy six more books to follow up.
The hero avoids contact with his new bride throughout most of the book. They finally have some interaction in the final chapter but it’s brief and their marriage isn’t consummated yet. I guess that will occur in another book.
I think I’ll pass.

Ravenna Accetta is 23 years old and is getting married to Wolfe Aloisio. It is a marriage arranged by her parents. Neither of them knows how to act with the other. Ravenna’s father sends Wilmar, who grew up with Ravenna, to be her bodyguard.

What does Wolfe do that finally breaks the awkwardness between him and Ravenna?

I’m looking forward to getting to know Ravenna and Wolfe better.
