I love anthologies and this was was a dark twist on the faerie tale. So far I have read Of Blood and Fae by Tiffany Shand. It was a quick read about a down on her luck girl who ends up a slave to a hunter and forced to help him hunt s prey. But she ends up beating him in a funny way with some help from a friend. It was cute and funny and had me rooting for her to get the upper hand in their battle of wills.
Gretchen lives a hard life with her cruel father. Following the path set before her thinking that she has no other choice. When the possibility for change appears is she brave enough to grasp it?
Great, fun short story.

I read the "Wish Maker" by S.K. Gregory. It was a lunch read. I liked the idea of so many fairytales mixed into one. But the ending of this story left you wondering what was happening on two different things. That being said it kept you interested.

This was a short dark fairy tale. Interesting, but I would have liked more, especially at the ending. If you enjoy fairy tale retellings, especially of the dark type, you will probably enjoy this one.
