Brianna Channon has finally been reunited with her children after twenty years of forced separation due to her deranged brother, Roth. Brianna is ready to confront Roth for everything he has done to her family. But first, Brianna must recover an amulet that will help with their battle against Roth and his allies. This amulet can only be used by a chosen one, but who that chosen one could be is unknown to Brianna. And unfortunately, Roth has gotten his hands on the amulet and is using it to rally spirits to his cause. At her side, also, is Nicholai Semenov, a powerful psychic and group leader. He has gathered and protected her children from Roth and his allies. But, even with Nicholai’s help, the battle against Roth will be hard. He thinks he is guaranteed a win with the Order of Assassins, the amulet, and the spirits on his side. But is he? Can Brianna and her family (biological and found) defeat Roth? Or will they all fall to his mad and psychotic delusions? And who will wield the amulet?

I was happy and sad when I got the email from the author asking me to read/review Shadowed Deliverance. I was delighted because I had reviewed this series from the beginning and enjoyed reading it. I was sad because this is the last book in the series. The author explained that while the Channon family’s story ends, it doesn’t mean the other characters’ stories would. But still. I had grown attached to the characters and struggled with change.

Shadowed Deliverance is The Guardians series’ 7th (and last) book. This book cannot be read as a stand-alone book. You need to read books 1-6 to read this book. If you don’t, you will be lost. I didn’t read Logan’s story (book 3) and felt I missed a lot (I will be reading it as soon as possible, though).

Shadowed Deliverance is a fast-paced book that I couldn’t put down. The book started fast (it started right after the events of book 6) and slowed down at the end of the book.

The main storyline of Shadowed Deliverance focuses on Brianna, her children and their spouses, Casper, Nicholai, and Roth. This storyline was a well-written storyline that kept me glued to the book. While I was interested in Brianna and company, I was more interested in Roth and the amulet. He had been gone from the series for a while. The author did not disappoint (I will discuss him further in the review).

The storyline with the amulet was interesting. When Roth had it, he gave a good look into how it worked. But, I was more curious about who could wield it and what it could do once it was with the chosen person. When the author revealed who the chosen person was, I was surprised. It was someone I didn’t see coming. But, at the same time, it made sense.

I had figured that Brianna would have the last book in the series. Why? Her six children had found each other again (in Silver’s book), and there was no indication that the author ended the series. Plue, only Nicholai was left without a mate, so I took a guess and figured that Brianna would be the next book. I liked seeing the group from her POV and how the different dynamics worked out. I also liked seeing Roth from her POV. She went between hating him (he did kill their parents, forced Logan to kill Devon, and kidnapped/abused Ashlyn) and pitying him. The pitying part made me feel awful because she kept flashing back to when Roth was normal (not psychotic and murderous).

I was thrilled that Nicholai would be featured as a main character in this book. He was very mysterious during the series and used his psychic powers as they came to him (he could see into the future but also saw different paths). He was a guiding force with the Channon children and was like a second father to all of them. His relationship with Caspar was pretty funny, and I loved seeing him parent her (his reactions to her are what I have with my seventeen-year-old). I thought he and Brianna were perfect for each other (and I will discuss that more in the romance section).

The third main character in Shadowed Deliverance is Caspar. That girl had me rolling with her one-liners and made me tear up with her fierce devotion to her family. Her verbal sparring sessions with Roth were on point and truthful. She was the most powerful of any psychics there, which the author repeatedly showed. I also loved how she needled Dacien (it was a running theme throughout the series) and tried to get anyone to tell her about sex (those scenes had me in stitches). I do wish that the author had given more information about her background. Other than the nickname, Moon Pie, there was nothing. Not even her real name. The author said she will be featured in a new series, so I hope more information is given in those books. Out of all the characters, I will miss her the most.

The last main character in Shadowed Deliverance is Roth. It was interesting to see another side to Roth other than his usual psychotic/murderous one. What was also interesting was the catalyst for everything. It showed a different side of Roth that I wasn’t expecting and explained why he turned evil. But, ultimately, his pride and manipulating ways ended him. I wasn’t sad to see him go, but at the same time, I wondered what if (if you read the book, you know what I am talking about).

The paranormal angle was wonderfully written. I loved that the author incorporated psychics, shifters, and spirits into the storyline. The concept of evil spirits at Roth’s bidding was scary and wasn’t an enemy the group could easily fight. I’m not going to go into much detail, but I loved how the author handled the spirit storyline and the ending of it. It was scary and sad at the same time.

As with all of Reily’s books, romance is very much present. But in this book, it did take a backseat to everything else that was going on. I liked it that way. I liked that the author had Brianna need a moment to think about everything happening between her and Nicholai. She was worried about what her kids (and Caspar) would think. It was normal, and I loved it (spoiler, they could care less).

The end of Shadowed Deliverance seemed almost anti-climatic compared to the other books. I can’t get into much detail, but I was not expecting what happened to Roth. It was a twist that I should have seen coming. I will not go into much after this because there will be spoilers but be prepared to have tissues!! I was openly crying.

I recommend Shadowed Deliverance to anyone over 21. There are language, violence, and nongraphic sexual situations (the author faded to black after kissing).

Many thanks to Reily Garrett for allowing me to read and review Shadowed Deliverance. All opinions stated in this review are mine.

Very poorly Written

I have read all the books in this series and have noticed that the later ones seemed rushed. This one is the worst of all. One chapter ends with main character escaping assassins and next chapter she’s captured by her enemy. No idea how it happened! Ridiculous lack of review by the author to not see the huge gaps in story and disjointed narrative.

This is book seven and the final chapter of The Guardians series and this storyline allows us to finally see why Roth Channon turned out the way he did and why he chose to destroy the lives of the rest of the Channon family! Roth has joined with the Order of Assassins, to build an army to take them down, as well as work to capture those with powers and genetic mutations. He is a psychopath and wants all of his sister’s family dead. He already made Logan shot his father Devon, to save himself and his baby sister, when he was a child. He also took Ashlyn and did unthinkable things to torture her and make her do things she didn’t want to. Now all of the Channon siblings have been reunited and have joined forced with Nicholai Semenov and his team of psychics and those with powers, working to stop those wishing to capture and experiment on those like them. Many of them have had a rough time of things until they came to Nicholai’s team, becoming part of a family once again and many having found their partner in life there as well. Nicholai has worked for years to set up a safe haven for those like him, with a mysterious benefactor helping to fund their safe house, as well as locate those in trouble and help them. The group has joined with a pack of shifters, with one of their own also a shifter, growing their numbers and power base.

Roth had been sent into a void by Keira in one of their confrontations, but somehow he came back from the void with another latent power come to life and an extra army of spiritual warriors gathered in the void and brought back to this realm. They are now part of his army along with the assassins, but he is after more part of the puzzle, an amulet that will give him power over spirits and ghosts. He has been studying the strengths and weaknesses of all the Channon siblings, Logan, twins Keira and Ashlyn, Neah and Silver, testing them to see how he can finally defeat them all. The only one of Nicholai’s group who is unknown, is young Caspar, whose power is the ability to phase through any object and phase her own body, so long as she doesn’t get distracted. Like Keira has her two wolves Ghost and Wraith, Caspar has made best friends with Simon, a pet capuchin monkey. Brianna is the mother of the five Channon siblings and had to leave them all behind after Roth killed her husband, then her parents and so many others. She has had to wait for twenty years to see all her children get back together, but has been in their lives looking out for them without them ever knowing. She also has someone or something that has been protecting her, as she sees a golden glow whenever she’s been in danger. Maybe she has her own special guardian angel! She thinks it might be the spirit of her mother, a powerful seer who told her of many events that would happen and that she would have to overcome.

Events are about to align as her mother foretold, and it will not be an easy battle against the armies Roth has accumulated, with his lies and misdirection. So many promises to others and painting Nicholai’s group as the bad guys who must be stopped, in order to save al of mankind. Sometimes there is no stopping some people, from the path they have decided to take. We get to see Dacien, Ouray, Gabe, Taylor, Wyatt and all the others, back in action and all together, working to stop Roth and the Order of Assassins. Roth keeps on testing them, seemingly knowing how to push their buttons and even find their safe house and break through their secure perimeter. He gets the amulet and believes it belongs to him and him only, and that with it he will defeat the rest of his family, once and for all. Another new possible romance along the way brings some light relief and a rebellious streak that still hasn’t been worked out of Caspar, no matter what training the others have done with her. Brianna also makes a connection, but has the guilt of losing so many people on her conscience, all because of her mad brother. Lots to resolve and some wonderful fighting scenes building up to the ultimate climax! I can’t believe the series is over and hope to see some of the characters in future books, as Neah works on a cure for Bronx and his new partner. Definitely a series you can’t put down once you start and each book just builds on the characters and their powers, as well as a touch of family reunion, romance and lots of pranks by some. I received an ARC copy of this book form BookSprout and I have freely given my own opinion of the book above.

Hello, book lovers! I have been spotty with my reviews for a while, but I am back with another book that I missed.

As some of you may know, I had a difficult year dealing with my son's health issues. Fortunately, he is doing better and pretty much stable for now, so I can resume my reading and reviewing work. I have a lot of books to catch up on, so let's get started!

Today, I will talk about the final book in the Guardian Series by Reily Garrett, "Shadowed Deliverance." This series is about a family of psychics who have to face their evil Uncle Roth, who wants to destroy them all. Roth is bitter and resentful because he did not inherit any psychic abilities, unlike his parents and his sister Brianna. He also lost his fiancée in a tragic accident, which pushed him over the edge. He has been hunting down his sister and her children for years, trying to make them suffer. He forced his nephew to kill his own father, kidnapped his niece, and tortured her. Now, he is obsessed with finding Brianna and her other children to kill them. For years, he has been assembling an army that will help him rule the world. He has recruited mercenaries, criminals, and even other psychics who are willing to join him for money or power. He has also developed a weapon that can block the psychic abilities of his enemies, making them vulnerable to his attacks.

This book is the culmination of the series, where the final showdown between Roth and the Guardians takes place. The Guardians are Brianna's children and their mates, plus a few others who have different psychic abilities, such as telepathy, telekinesis, precognition, and healing. They have been training and preparing for this battle, knowing that it will be a matter of life and death. They have also been trying to find their mother, who has been hiding from Roth for decades. She is the key to stopping him, as she has a powerful ability that can counteract his dark magic.

After Brianna buried her husband, her mother told her that to save her children, she would have to place them with others and not to contact them until they had reunited together again. Over the years, she had kept watch on the ones that she could find and helped where she could. She would visit them in their dreams and direct them if possible. But now the time was finally here, and she could join them. They would unite together to bring down her brother once and for all.

The book is full of action, suspense, romance, and twists. The characters are well-developed and likable, each with their own personality and backstory. The plot is fast-paced and engaging, keeping you on the edge of your seat. The author does a great job of wrapping up the series, giving each character a satisfying ending. The book also explores themes such as family, loyalty, courage, sacrifice, and love.

If you are a fan of paranormal romance and thriller genres, I highly recommend this series. It is a captivating and thrilling read that will keep you hooked from the first page to the last. You can find the book on Amazon or other online platforms. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!

Wow....After reading this book, i went and bought 5 more by this author. This book is a culminated of the work put in by the Channon family and their partners in previous books to overcome evil.

What if you had powers like the good and the bad guys in this book had, how would you use them? Would the gift make you stronger or corrupt you? Sometimes, it is fun to play what if but the author already did it for us. She gave a amazing group of young people a powerful gift and brought them back together with a found father. That found father helps reunite them with their mother after 20 years of being apart. Doing so strengthened the bonds on the team.

That team or family worked well together despite, the evil Roth trying to use his powers to have them destroy each other. To bad he underestimated family.

The odds the Channon children with Nic and their mother faced seemed insurmountable - spirits, assassins and various other evil beings. Brianna, mostly an observer from afar to her family, got to come together with her children and help win the final battle. I liked that the author did not have Brianna try to force a relationship with her family, rather she let it develop naturally. That made the book feel more authentic.

Roth was introduced again early in the book and for about 30 seconds you felt bad for him but loss does not have to make someone evil. In his case, he lost touch with everything but his own pain. He blamed others because he couldn't accept his role in his finance demise. Roth was a well written evil man with a warped sense of right and wrong. He was the perfect character foil to his sister. Bri made the ultimate sacrifice for family and Roth wanted to sacrifice everyone else for his wants. The contrast between good and evil kept me turning pages far longer than I should.

I would highly recommend this book if you have read the other Guardians books. I also very much hope to see Casper in future books as she comes into her own more. Writing Casper's story would allow us to touch base with this family down the road and maybe see the next generation. There is always evil to fight and the Channon family was well suited to do so.

~An exciting climax
~First, I’ll state that I received this book as a gift from the author to read and review.
~There is a proverb that says; ‘all good things must come to an end.’ And that is true for a series of books also. I have enjoyed reading the entire Guardians series…and I feel that this was a good closure for this series. I don’t want to give spoilers, so I will only say that the loose ends from previous books are dealt with.
~Does everyone live happily ever after? Hummm. Well maybe, but were I to say more, it’d be a spoiler.
~Like the other books in this series, it is very fast paced, with lots of suspense and ample action.
~There is character development. I will admit that Casper is, by far, my favorite character. This last book does justice to her character. She matures into a most valuable member of the Channon family.
~I will point out that there was one inconsistence in the plot line. At one point, at the end of a chapter, one of the main characters has escaped from the ‘bad guys’…however, on the very next page (beginning of the next chapter) the character has been captured. I reread this section twice, thinking that I’d missed something. No, there is simply a gap in the storyline.
~I enjoyed the book and will recommend it. I don’t think that the one lack of continuity in the story line is enough to distract from my overall reading satisfaction.

The end of Roth last book

Last book in this series but it's set up so Casper (and her ghost pet) will have a series or be in another when she returns to her hometown at 18, still very young in this series and finding a team of hero's (guardians) and training with them they helped heal her heart and with training to stay safe she soon will need to go back to her birth town and face her birth right plus investigate a school of wrong doing.
This series was about a family who got torn apart by a crazy uncle roth , I did feel the ending was a little oh really but I guess the author was going with redemption, but really the man kills his sister's husband takes and tortured her youngest daughter for 20 plus years and she had to foster out the rest of her children and hide plus still try to kill her children.you don't say I forgive you brother. ( not that she does say that no spoilers, the rest is from past books so you should know)
All in all the series is interesting lost of twist I did guess right about who would will the necklace.Looks like other series is set in the same world, but must read this one first before carpets next journey

Domination versus free will. That is pretty much what it comes down to and our heroes and heroines are going to do their best for freedom.

This is book seven of the series and its conclusion. It actually does a really good job of standing on its own, but it will be even more enjoyable if read from the beginning. Your call.

This is an urban fantasy story with a bit of the paranormal woven in. The story is well written, easy to read full of action. It grabs your attention right away and never lets go. The characters are well done with a firm sense of being that brings the story to life. And as the conclusion, it pulls all the pieces together for the final showdown. Overall, this was a great story and I really enjoyed this series. I can't wait to see what our author comes up with next.

Highly recommended.

Shadowed Deliverance is the final installment of this fabulous series!
The Channon family are finally reunited including their mother.
The characters make you feel as though you are part of the family. Their tight knit bond. Their pranks. And let us not forget the mouthy Casper and her sidekick. Love her character!
We learn of Roth's past and what lead him to despise his sister and her children.
The showdown between Roth and the gifted talents will keep you intrigued from the first book until the final installment.
Action packed drama, mystery suspense, betrayal, banter and loyalty.
Highly recommend this series!
Can't wait for new series, Perfect in Death! Casper and Simon travel to southwest Texas to attend a gifted school for children with special talents and get involved in an investigation in progress.

I have thoroughly loved this series! In some ways sad to say "good bye" but nothing ever really finishes as there are always characters that can gain their own series.
Such a tremendous series and yes you could read the story on its own but simply why when it has been such a successful series! Truly great characters and loved the sheer amazement that a once torn apart family found each other through the most incredible manner. A well devised plot throughout each individual story and they each supplemented one another bringing together a truly entertaining series. Loved all the characters and the relationships that formed throughout.

The Guardians are about To meet Brianna, the woman who has only seen them in dreams as they grew

To save their lives Briana had to send her children to safety. She had helped from the background for years. Now she can do as her physic Mother had bade her years ago. You can’t join them until they are all together once again. This was the hardest choice a-mother could have. To save her children from her physcodic brother she had to leave them with strangers while she ran for her life. After she buried her husband and parents she spent years trying to find the missing ones, and crying for what they had had to do to to survive until the guardians found them one by one. Now for all their protection in the newest fight she could join them for the next battles.

I really hope this isn't the last book with this set of characters and in this world as it is up there as one of my all time favourites, the author really knows how to capture the audience and her story telling is fantastic. This latest book has it all, answers to questions throughout the series, drama, highly emotionally charged scenes and an overall feeling that yes, no matter how dark times can get, the good guys can overcome any adversity. Loved it!. No spoilers from this reader but my advice as always is to start with the first book of the series as they follow on from each other along a timeline so your enjoyment of this latest book will be greatly enhanced for the time and enjoyment spent on the journey, enjoy.......

Loved this series and this book is the best of all. The creativity and storytelling are amazing and kept me riveted all the way through. The characters really felt like family and the new ones were wonderful additions that really added to the story and filled in some of the gaps. I have to admit that the ending made me cry but they were not sad tears. I am glad that we will find out more about Casper in Texas.

The final showdown between the Guardians and Roth. This book delivered a great ending, along with revealing Roth's tragic past. The series and watching the Channon family reunite was enjoyable. A well-guarded secret was revealed ending Roth's reign of terror. All the characters were well-developed and showed growth of talent throughout the series. This is a stand alone, but best read as part of the series. I received a copy, and I'm voluntarily giving my honest review.

A great finale to an epic series. As always Roth seems to be one step ahead and with a much greater number of allies. Brianna has joined with her children under Nicolai's protection and it is time to end Roth's rein of terror. A fast paced action packed book with lots of twists and turns, visions and revelations.

So much happened in this book! I did not want it to end but I couldn’t stop reading - I needed all of the answers. We received a lot of clarity, but I am glad to know their stories aren’t over. I love Casper so much and can’t wait for her adventures in Texas. I cried like a baby when her beloved friend died - but glad she was the true receiver of the amulet and can continue to communicate with him.

Book 7, the story works as a standalone. Though as the final book, it might help to read the previous books to grasp the characters' motivation. The story revolves around family, following various characters and their interaction. The story features a lot of action and is descriptive.

Set aside a day and have a tissue handy for this adult supernatural, paranormal thriller featuring 17-year-old Casper as she interacts with the Channon family, but do not read in public as chortles will ensue. Probably contains spoilers for earlier books, but I read it as a stand-alone.

And Nicholai is may have snow on the roof, but there seems to a fire in the hearth. What a fun pairing. Perfect really. Loved this wrap up of a wonderful series.

An epic tale, well told!

This is a fantastic story/series that I'll definitely read again. The main characters were well defined and each new cast member added depth as the story grew. The paranormal aspect was the cherry on top! I'd love to see more as they redefine their lives.
