Don’t often write a review but in this case I had to, to warn other readers. What utter drivel. Granted I only read about 200 pages in, but ‘blood tingling’ doesn’t remotely describe these really pathetic attempts at writing horror. Honestly, if you asked a bunch of cub scouts to come up with some ‘scary’ stories around the camp-fire, they’d be more publishable. I tried to persist, hoping that the next story would live up to the hype of the cover, but noooooo, more rubbish, so I’ve given up on this set of stories. I couldn’t waste more of my life reading them. Definitely can’t recommend and I have to wonder about reviewers who can. Don’t waste your money, even offered free I seriously would’t bother.
I have this set in both eBook and audio that way I can switch back and forth between reading and listening. To say there was one story in this set as my favorite would be impossible. I loved how it just kept going and going one heart racing read narration was great as well thumbs up.
If you love short stories you need a quick read even on the run or on a bus this is for you. I know how busy life can be but sometimes you just need to let your mind relax pick up this great novel it's very good. I do not give spoilers away but I will tell you this it will remind you of The Twilight zone and tails from the crypt. 5 anthologies out of 5
Definitely not nightmare inducing but a great read and lots of variety - ghost stories, zombie stories, murders, even time travel, but my favorites are the ones where they tell the story from everyone’s point of view.
