The first thing I liked about Point Blank was that Rex, despite being a sexy guy, had once been bullied and other kids were told to stay away from him. It made it a welcome change from a heroine chasing after the football hero. Lanie has always seen the good in him and it comes across as not just a physical attraction which I felt made her a sympathetic character and one you hope gets her man.
I liked the dialogue between these two characters. It was natural sounding, moved the story along and the pace was just right for this short read.
Sex scenes are hot and frequent and the outcome more than satisfying. If you love stories about old acquaintances reconnecting…or connecting for the first time, this is probably a good pick for you.

I do so love Kaily's quickies. She's my go-to for hot, well written romance. Loved the hero and the heroine, their interactions and dialogue, and the sex scenes. I only wish we'd have gotten to see Rex show her his dirty mouth. *ahem*

If you could get a do-over with your high school secret crush, would you?
Lanie is tired of wondering what would have happened if she had acted on a crush she had for the bad boy in high school. It took some time for her to muster up the courage, but here she is at her high school reunion ready to proposition the man who she’s stacked all others against. After a parade of losers and an ex-husband who believed he could find better, Lanie is ready to let all of her inhibitions go and find out what could have been. What she wasn’t prepared for was his immediate reaction and Rex has a few confessions to make as well.
Wonderfully erotic and intense for a quickie! Lanie’s inner dialogue ramblings are humorous and I’m fairly certain exactly how many of us would think given the same situation. Lanie still has to do battle with her doubts, but bravely makes a point of not reacting how she normally would and just lays it all out there. What can I say about Rex? Gotta love a guy who’s willing to put a woman’s pleasure before his own. He’s still a bad boy, but has made some other significant improvements since high school. Although, I couldn’t help, but feel a bit cheated on Lanie and Rex’s history since it seems there was the makings of a great story builder there, but Ms. Hart more than makes up for it in plenty of other delightful ways. An arousing read for when you want something quick and dirty!

This was a quickie read (only 38 pages) but a lot was packed into it along with an actual storyline. Their 10th year reunion caused Rex and Lanie to relive their youth and realize how much time they wasted - neither ever knowing how the other felt. There was lots of steamy sex and you could feel the power each held over the other. I would have liked the storyline to continue at least a few more chapters but Hart might not have wanted to spoil how we each imagined the story might end. There seemed like there would be a happily ever after but I personally would have liked for the author to spin the tale. I will definitely give other books by Hart a try and hope that some of them are longer. I have not read her books before nor am I usually a fan of erotic romance but would continue to read it if this is the caliber of work authors like Hart turn out - reeling us in and helping us to connect with the characters while actually telling a story.

Point Blank by Kaily Hart is a short, hot reunion romance. The heroine, Laine, attends her ten year high school reunion with the sole purpose of hooking up with one-time bad boy, Rex, the one guy she wanted and never forgot.
Well-written, fast-paced, Point Blank holds a retain intensity to its scenes, and some great sexual tension, sparks, and passion between its lead characters. A short as the story was, the author did a fantastic job developing not only the characters, but also incorporating the emotion they feel for each other when they’re together.
Final Thoughts: Point Blank is a good romance with hot sex and a great emotional connection between the characters. Definitely worth a read.

Okay, this had all of my little hot buttons in one short read. I love the crush trope, and love even more when the wrong side of the tracks kid makes good. So...give me both, and a guy that's so focused on making sure the girl knows that one night is definitely NEVER going to be enough?

Sweet reunion romance
This is a story about two people going back to their 10yr high school reunion, each with the hopes of reuniting with a long time crush. I love the premise behind this story, I mean who hasn't longed to see how an old crush from high school has turned out. Sometimes the results are positive and other not. But this story, as it is written, could be something right out of real life and I like that.

Hot, hot, hot
If you've ever had a class reunion fantasy about the one that got away, this short, sexy story is the one for you. It has just enough backstory to bring the characters alive, and plenty of hot, sexy scenes to transport you straight to fantasyland. My only complaint is that it's too short, I would have liked to have read more about this hero and heroine.

Rawr. I love stories involving crushes. This was a fast read, too fast for me, hence not 5 stars. Why are the stories that I want more from, end too quickly! Hot, hot, hot! And yum! Tattoos!

Loved the premise
The execution was just a bit to fast for me. The characters chemistry is awesome, but it could have been fleshed out a bit more. Again my only real complaint is that it was too short. I would have liked a bit more to the story.
